agreed. 23/25m for a player who has 1 year left on their contract, and is pushing to go. Or, keeping him, getting nothing in the summer, and having an unhappy player on our books for the rest of the season. 23/25m will help our finances, overall i would sell.

as with Dendoncker, not a "top individual signing", however, i do think a central defensive/DM triangle of players like Mings, Bednerak and Dendoncker will make us look like a different animal defensively, height, power, physicality, exactly what we are missing. Its a team game, and having a trio of players like that shoring up the back will allow, at least in theory, our attacking players to do their thing a bit more. This is much more solid: Martinez Cash - Bednarek - Mings - Digne Kamara - Dendoncker - Luiz I have no doubt that Gerrard wont do this though, and will bench Bednarek for Konsa, Luiz for McGinn and Dendoncker for the milk man, giving us zero physicality and an average height of 4ft 2in.

i understand ppl want to keep Luiz, but at the same time, whats the point if Gerrard never plays him. If he isnt going to play, we may as well get 20m for him. I think the club refusing to sell if a knee jerk to the tinder box situation we are currently in with results and feelings towards Gerrard. I would love him ot sign a new contract and be played regularly, but under Gerrard that wont happen it seems, so if thats the case, we either need to cash in, or get rid of Gerrard.

He isnt a "top" signing, but he may be the kind of player that the TEAM needs. 27 years old, physical, 6ft 2, able to offer some bite, height and physicality in to the team. 29 caps for a very, very good Belgium side, reasonable-ish fee. He might not be a "top level signing", but he also might be what the TEAM needs. We have a problem of too many individuals, or too many similar players, we need balance, and for me he would offer some balance in the midfield. we need to think of the "team as a whole", the team needs a balance that we currently dont have imo.

that would be the correct/perfect, balanced midfield 3 imo. Or if we managed to get rid of the pound shop Klopp, we could do that, or a double pivot of Dendonker/Kamara or Kamara/Luiz, or any variation, much more balanced in a 4231.
