  1. I know very little about this part of the world I'm embarrassed to say. But as someone that's educated in natural sciences, I've always wanted to go on a motorcycle trip through the continent and especially visit the amazon river and the rain forests. But I really don't feel comfortable travelling through countries like Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala,
  2. I actually think as a national team coach the job IS to pick the 11 most in form players. That's the concept in it's very essence. Otherwise you are picking just on reputation, club bias and habit. Konsa should definitely be in this squad, and I think the exclusion of Konsa and Watkins is arguably more strange than not playing Jack - after all Jack has been injured for a while. But not playing Jack as well is very very strange, cause when you looked at the match yesterday, all though I've just watched some of it, England struggled massively with creativity and carrying the ball forward. It was hoofball, hit and run, and after taking the lead they were desperate to get some time on the ball and free kicks. Literally every single aspect of Jack's game would have suited the game yesterday. And before Sterling fluked a deflected goal into the net, he looked absolute turd. I just don't get the point of both Sterling and Foden. They offer much the same stuff. You would be far better off having Jack wide on the left. I also think England would look a lot better with a player like Watkins than Kane. Not that Kane isn't a good player, but England desperately needs mobility up top. You'd look so much better with a more mobile striker.
  3. I think they are just different players. I especially like how lethal Foden is around the box. But Jack is on another level in terms of playmaking. As for Southgate it just seems to be a mix of personal vendetta and club bias. Based on Jack's performances and generally being the motm whenever he pulls on the England shirt, the exclusion of him by Pinocchio makes no sense. But we all know that if he played for city he'd be one of the first names on that team sheet. Gareth is just one big penis. Personally I hope England flops the rest of the tournament so I can laugh at that ****.
  4. Doubt it. It's no coincidence neither Sancho nor Grealish played and neither of the two plays for the usual suspects. Mings wouldn't be picked either if the alternative wasn't Coady or White. Henderson just got back from injury as well. He'll get his automatic slot along with Kane fast enough.
  5. Don't really agree with your post above, but this one is on the money.
  6. I saw snippets of the first half waiting for a table in the city. It's funny he got the motm, cause my impression of the little I watched was that he was the worst player on the pitch by some distance. Guess his game picked up.
  7. The thing with England and Grealish is that this result is largely irrelevant. For four reasons: 1) Southgate isn't a good manager 2) You will struggle at some point 3) When point 2 happens English tabloids will hammer Southgate to use Grealish, and he will buckle. Just like he did before when he tried to ignore him. 4) When Grealish gets the chance he will be motm again, cause that's just what he does. Thus he will be cemented in the line-up for the rest of the tournament.
  8. It's not like England got poor left backs is it? The right back on left back seems a bit nuts to me. Why did he choose this?
  9. I just don't see where the creativity will be with Foden, Sterling and that central midfield. Really looks like MON line-up.
  10. I'm not a doctor, but how can it? I had a genetical defect that caused a stroke in my 20s. You could have the same stuff in your heart and it would definitely cause a heart attack. I really don't think it's as simple as doing an ECG. Unless there's something obvious I'm missing. ECG, like MRIs, afaik are methods of establishing whether trauma has affected the organs ability to function probably? How does it establish genetic defects/anomalies that can break out in the future? A physical defect is one thing, a genetic defect where you're disposed to get a trauma is something else.
  11. That's what the American celebs tend to say about Gervais. I'll live.
  12. Think it's more likely he had a genetical defect they didn’t pick up on. To be honest I'm not sure you can pick up on it.
  13. Sure you're British? Yeah, I see no time or content limit on jokes. Never have.
  14. So I've decided to start playing golf. Got the green card sorted next weekend. Not sure what I think about myself tbh. Never thought I'd end up doing that, but is what it is.
  15. Meh. When did you get so Hollywood'esque on your sense of humour.
  16. Well Denmark didn’t show enough heart to win it. Too soon?
  17. I actually think Grealish should start from purely tactical reasons. The Croatians are technically and possession wise very very good. I'd argue better than England, so by having Grealish in there I think it's easier to maintain possession more than you would otherwise. Will check the post match thread here tonight with interest.
  18. Southgate is the manager every FA in the world drools for I'd say. All FA's are alike. They want someone that won't be difficult. Someone that's politically correct to the degree of hilarity. Someone that's a yes man, a company man. Whether the football is good to watch is secondary and it is to all FA's in my experience. Unfortunately, for some FA's the first bit is also more important than winning football matches... like it is in Norway. Personally I'd love to see everyone and I mean everyone at our FA get the sack. We all know the type of manager that would do well with our national team, but it's not going to happen cause the characters that it involves isn't something the FA can swallow.
  19. Was earlier than that I think. Were linked with him after Tekkers went.
  20. Difficult to clarify made up hogwash.
  21. Does the time from when it happened decrease the severity of it?
  22. Why on earth is it strange? It will be one of the most talked about moments in EC history. People will watch this, just like they watch the planes fly into the WTCs
  23. Yep. I had a draw in my friends betting pool before this. If I were to re-bet now I'd go for Denmark. It's almost unfair for Finland.
  24. What's next? Tell me not to throw away food cause there are hungry people in Africa?
