  1. Unbelievable. You just don't expect an Emery team to capitulate like that. That's totally shambolic.
  2. Imagine positing a meltdown about United winning and then not coming back here to get thrilled about them throwing it away. It can't be much fun only posting negative views all the time, why do it? The race for the champions league has never included United, despite the media's attempts to claim otherwise. It involves us, Spurs, and potentially our uefa co-efficient. That's it.
  3. Truly weird. Like he was congratulating him on his hattrick. Don't think the most biased ref in the world in our favour would have changed the outcome of this game, but still hardly professional. If we can avoid conceding again I'll be happy.
  4. @tomav84 I was thinking the same thing. A squad illness would explain a lot. And if the option is name noone or a player that's got the shits on the bench then the latter will win. Imodium then up and hope they last 45 minutes if needed at half time.
  5. That's in response to no Martinez. Pau was a miss, martinez a disaster
  6. Pep motivation tactic. Surely will come off the bench to score. Let's hope it's them chasing the game 3-0 down and getting desperate though. Hey, I can dream.
  7. Hmm...I do hope you meant their . It would be one of the longest cons ever if you were really a closet Man City fan.
  8. The unthinkable happened, although in arguably the most perfect game for it to happen for. Hopefully we're going to be careful and not rush him back as a longer term injury is truly something we couldn't cope with.

    Jhon Durán

Him or Zaniolo. Emery has said about both of them that they can play the striker role and give us some flexibility in that position if needed. Duran has got an opportunity to start his legacy here against Man City, and if he saw the reaction JPA got when he was shown on the screen he'll hopefully want to take it.
  10. This ref is useless and has been since given the role in the PL. Needs to be sent back down the leagues as he's too weak at this level and just rewards whoever shouts loudest.
  11. Another good performance from him. That's two in a row now. If he gives us another one then I might start changing my mind, but I'm still on the return him side of the fence. Hopefully he keeps this up till the end of the season.
  12. Agreed. Aside from the obvious colour balance issue of yellow on blue, the positioning seems forced and unbalanced. I moaned about it when first revealed but almost given up caring. I assume that was Heck's plan when he realised the backlash against it. Go radio silent and hope people forget... and in fairness its kind of worked.
  13. Yellow lion on blue badge destroys all those kits. I'll be so upset if we end up back with that atrocious travesty of design as our badge again.
  14. I'd guess it's a stop gap until that happens. No way that's happening overnight, so even if it does go ahead this will help massively in the interim.
  15. Good minutes for Italy. Will help his fitness. He seems to have proven himself over his injury at least lately. I wonder if he'll ever get the ability back that is so clearly there. Those comments from him suggest he accepts he's in a learning curve for Emery ball and maybe there is yet a slim chance he'll click with us before the end of the season. I certainly don't expect it to, but there's a little bit of hope there. Before that I'd written him off totally.
  16. Agreed. It's a really bland nothing of a shirt. The only thing that makes me know its Germany is their 4 stars. Had a training kit kind of feel to it. Or a Sunday league generic template kit.
  17. Cheltenham is right, the media have Always and forever been like this. Southgate clearly ignores the media, so this won't affect his thinking. His stubbornness is usually a fault, but probably not on this occasion. That said, I think he'll take Toney. His England don't play to Watkins many strengths, so Toney is the better option. And as a result, we will repeat his failings of previous tournaments.
  18. I would have felt this way if Southgate hadn't completely destroyed any care for England that I once had.
  19. Highbury was notorious for being a library. The new ground is barely any different. Man City had barely any fans at Maine Road, but the atmosphere was better as the ones that were there were all genuine fans and the ground wasn't massively overstuffed oversized. I think we'd be in the boat where the atmosphere stays roughly the same.
  20. Given the news reports above (which could well just be piggy backing off this dude), it suggests they're a genuine ITK.
  21. Do they not see the shambolic conditions that he complains about as something more to be upset with? The talent they potentially have should be performing better than it is, can they see that its not the players' fault? Obviously understand the view that you should be grateful to play for your country, but the JFF aren't exactly making it easy for their players.
  22. Does that make them more legit and legal than our current sponsors?
  23. I dont think the stat was meant to reflect badly on Emi. Showing he's up there with our best shot stoppers in respect of one stat, and just a bit of general trivia. We all know he's probably better than nearly all of them for most attributes, although could never prove it. For one on one's I'd not rather have any other keeper in our history, including Schmeichel. For general shot stopping him and Schmeichel probably not much in it. Penalties I'd say him and Bosnich probably not much in it. Then you have his ability on the ball which we've never needed to see from our other keepers, although I imagine Schmeichel would have been more than competent at that if needed. I'd say command of the area on crosses is the one area he could be beaten on by a couple of our past keepers, but overall I wouldn't have anyone else from my knowledge of our history over him.
  24. I'm shocked Enck and Sorenson made the list. I don't recall them being good (Sorenson obviously not bad), but maybe more to do with how the team around them was performing at the time. Sorenson more of shock for how many games he played maintaining that level. Emi did have a season with us fighting relegation so I'm sure his average has been getting continously better, and hopefully will continue to.
