  1. I'm not sure if the first touch or the finish is better but this is a beaut

    Unai Emery

Digne's smile clearly tells you it wasn't serious. No matter what the rest of the bench thought, Digne didn't seem to mind. As per Emery's comments, it was explaining what Moreno had done, and why it was wrong. Digne either didn't agree, didn't care, or knew it already and didn't need to be told it but was happy that he was on the same wavelength as Emery. I predict it was the latter. "No shit boss, he just gave the ball away, I know not to do that'
  3. He was virtually alongside him before Endo blocked his run. Endo, making no attempt to play a ball, and clearly just there to block a runner. If he wants to interfere with play, he should do it from an onside position.
  4. Endo (from an offside position) clearly blocked a man that could have got to the ball before Van Dyk. He probably wouldn't have, but could have. For that reason, it has to be offside.
  5. That and the fact Howe has run them into the ground. Two big reasons.
  6. Cash cost us the second goal, and although Callum didn't track the forward, had Cash been in the right position he wouldn't have had to. He seemed to be playing the instructions given to him by Emery. Good game, and given our injury situation it bodes well as I'm sure he'll get more minutes in the next two or three games.
  7. He just keeps rising to the challenge. Whatever it is, he'll face it. He's matured so much as a player and a person during his time with us. Every time the club has transitioned, from Championship to bottom of PL. From there to mid table in the PL, and now to the top 4 of the PL. Surely there isn't a better value signing than this man in our history (factoring in inflation).
  8. Give him a run of games and his form comes back. Just hope he doesn't get injured again like the list time he got up to speed. If we can keep him fit, which may mean resting him a bit for the mid week games, then we'll see plenty more of those performances before the end of the season.
  9. The past takes that said he'd never make it here were clearly wrong. That doesn't mean they were bizarre takes at the time though. I can't recall if I got to that stage, but I definitely thought he wasn't going to improve unless he overcame his injury/fear of getting re-injured. He seemed to be playing with no confidence in his body. Given how long his lack of form lasted for, it's not surprising at all that some thought he would never overcome it. Those that were saying he was shit and had no ability were wrong though, he'd shown it before, and he's now shown it since. To me, it was clear something hadn't clicked to unleash it, rather than the fact he didn't have it.
  10. Well yes, but then you'd usually say due to a waterlogged pitch. The expression just amused me. Simple things and all that...
  11. If its a slightly tweaked hamstring (as suggested by his stretching and the fact we let him ride out the second half on the bench, rather than rushing him for a scan), then he shouldn't be missing much time at all. We're well over due an injury that actually ends up not being one.
  12. Barrows game against Bradford was postponed because the referee was "unimpressed with the state of the pitch" according to the Sky classified scores. Is that an official reason?
  13. Played great first half, and a good result. Seems we can't defend and can barely attack without Pau. I hope he's not injured. Great results elsewhere too!
  14. Did anyone see how he walked off at half time? I didn't notice him get an impact or seem to be limping at all. It had better be precaution or we're going to be shafted.
  15. Cash showing that he can only be good when he doesn't have to defend. Was hoping he wouldn't have to. Chambers didn't help either. We miss Pau so much when he's not on.
  16. I'd assume just normal warm up at half time. Practice how you'd play.
  17. Great first half, not undone by some terrible defending from a corner. I'm confident we're going to get the next goal.
  18. Hopefully that gives them some confidence to come at us in the second half and then we take advantage and score another 3.
  19. He did keep it up as well, great ball out wide from him. Seems to have a bit of composure about him today.
  20. Beautiful move, so classy and controlled. Bailey's killer pass to cash was the pivotal contribution, special mention to Ramsey too.
  21. Needed that to get them out their half. Could be a rout now....
  22. Well the last three games haven't exactly gone well, so even if you are you're probably going to be glad for a change. Or you can point to our record streak before that.
