  1. Yes you are rite young players are still tearing it up,I play fifa 19 and it doesn't even go un-noticed on that game. There are some excellent young players causing a storm, I think the pool of young players making big names for themselves is bigger than what it was when pele was playing, pele was a rare occurrence back then. Here is some of the youth who are making it big in the world of football today and there's plenty more than these.. https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/best-young-players-fifa-19-career-mode
  2. I like your insight into what could be done to the ground.. Yes fans certainly would have to be regularly packing villa park out for talks of plans and only way I see that happening is if we get promoted. apparently xia had all these plans none really got disclosed apart from the pitch being done and it did get done even though we was in trouble. I would love to see all the plans xia had ready to go and think if they are not still in the pipeline should be released for us to see. I also wonder if Nas and Wes have plans of there own for future development of Villa Park. I think the owners should certainly be looking to make villa park into a stadium that can have all sorts going on ie athletics, concerts other sports, wrestling and so on. This could help create jobs and funds for the future, villa park could eventually pay for itself as a venue that has all sorts of events other than football. But as you said with complaints in the past the chances are that a new stadium would have to be made for all of the above. An entirely new stadium and in a location where noise wouldn't be an issue could be what villa needs but would the fans go for it as its a good historical ground. I guess the question is what facilities could be built in Villa Park that could make use of the events out there on a regular basis, As it stands Villa Park is not a multi event use stadium is it, how would that change if it could be changed. Wes and Nas I hope at some point say they have plans for Villa Park, we will just have to wait and see. Let's get promoted first though and get the fans flooding back to VP..
  3. What if mourinho cant get his team into proper gear, the club mite decided sack jose. If mourinho did get the sack any new manager coming in, well there is always the chance Taunzebe could fall out of favour even more at man utd. If we did get promoted this season there is always the chance Tuanzebe would make the move too us permanent, we can only hope but he is well suited here with us..
  4. It was spoken about under Tony Xia but are there still plans for Villa Park's capacity too be taken too 60000 or exceed that number?? Tony xia had plans other plans for Villa Park, apprantly very good plans. Are those plans still in the pipeline or do the new owners have there own plans for the future of Villa Park and if so can any be revealed??
  5. Grealish mite not get the goals he should be getting but that's been hugely because we had a manager as in bruce who not only didn't understand his players but didn't coach them Hopefully we will start to see goal from Jack, I think we will see more from him now. The other thing about Jack I'd like to say is that Jacks worth is well in there, not because he does or doesn't score but because of what he does on that field. Jack probably has the best pass rate in our team if not the championship. Jack is also up and down that field, wins balls alot, basically Jack drives the opposition nuts that's why they can't handle him, that's why they have to chop him down, it's frustration. I don't know about you guys but with Jack I see his worth on the pitch even though he isn't scoring, sure it would be even higher if he were scoring but it is just how it is.
  6. I think if any premier league club want him they are going to have to pay what the owners want. The fact Jack didn't go in the summer when we had all those troubles says something at least. Not only does Jack want to be at villa but the owners don't want to sell there prized asset and will do whatever it takes to protect him. The owners coming in when they did and saying our players arnt for sale only points to a massive release clause on jacks contract. Jack would sign all day long so long as his wages are higher which also reported they were over 20 grand a week on his new contract. Its not as if we are desperate for money now. In the summer it was all about paying the bills and catching up on payements owed and paying the massive wage bill. We dont need to do any of that thanks to our mega rich owners. The only thing selling Jack gets us, is it shows Aston Villa are selling again which in turn eases FFP up so we won't have fifa, efl or UEFA on our backs so much. I think it will be next season if we dint go up, maybe Grealish will be gone, not this season as it's too soon from when the owners put there plan in place. When I say too soon I mean in respects to I didn't or don't expect this season to be a promotional push and all because of time lost under bruce. However since no one is running away with the league, we have been fortunate that Dean Smith has had time to gather his troops and bounce back. Hopefully these current wins are the run we need to not only catch up but to take top spot in the championship which would really seal Grealish at villa for what we all hope is the rest of his career. I love Jack, think he is an outstanding player and would love him in a villa shirt till the day he hangs up his boots, hopefully we do get promoted this season to make that more a realistic thought.
  7. Well his release will be 60 mill won't it, that's what was put on the new deal back near the end of september or reported as that. Any club wanting jack will have to pay around that for him. The new owners wanted to protect Jack from any cheap swoop like what nearly happened under tony xia for 10-15mill.
  8. Feel sorry for family I really do. It's on the rise as well male suicide is isn't it and has been for some time..
  9. I think the best bet for Henry would of been to of done something similar to what John Terry is doing and be apart of a team. Henry is having to make all the decisions and he's not going to know what he's doing wrong or rite because of lack of experience. I mean Henry's team wernt winning before he got there so for all he knows he could be doing things rite still. Despite still losing, yet he won't notice unless positive results comes, it's really going to be tough for henry at first, I think he will go through alot of clubs before he actually starts finding his own way, he has to develop a winning formula from scratch.
  10. That is some bad news, so young how did he pass away??
  11. Has anyone seen the highlights?? its great we are making alot more chances, not so great we are not putting the majority away. Have to love how we are playing now our passing game has gone up tons. Nyland what a performance and some real excellent saves there, hope he keeps it up then we won't need to look for another keeper. Tammy didn't half do some skills on the ball and weave around those players around 9 mins, then he passed it and our player got elbowed in the face,at 09:05 and it looked completely horrible and out of order that it should of been a straight red card. What is it with other teams getting frustrated at out players and they get away with it as either no cards or the card doesn't fit the punishment, the refs show to much leniency..
  12. I though you was about to say another 12 days till Henry loses another game, how many dokes everyone think he will lose before he finally does win a game?? Yes big lads who did a great job at playing the game, who think they do know it all and can just walk into a managers seat and get it rite first try, it's a wake up call for them.
  13. He is having it rough isn't he,not a win yet poor bloke like and hopefully he can change it but so glad we didn't have him..
  14. That is real interesting that he does that, it shows that Dean is willing to keep on learning and always adds tohis knowledge of what he loves doing. The more I know about Dean the more I see a coach who has alot to offer where ever he is At, he is a very experienced person and we are very lucky to have him here, it could of been Henry and most of us would of been shouting for his head by now I think. Dean Smith is a legend in the making..
  15. We need more ways to generate income, we do not have enough coming in compared to other clubs. Sure villa park will always be villa park to us, it's history, present and future can't be touched all because of naming rites. Our stadium could have names left right and everywhere it doesn't change who Aston Villa are in anyway. Tradition legacy and heritage will never change because if a name change, all that lives on in people's hearts and minds and is recorded throughout time on paper and now the internet. Some things may be more important than cash, but money runs the world and money has run football since I was a teen when the big money signings syarted popping up. It will all no doubt continue to be ran that way long after we are all gone from this world. Unfortunately this is just one of the many mistakes our club has made in the past, which is not capitalizing on every money making situation that comes the club's way. Remember our club is a business as much as it is a team, Aston Villa needs to be able to say the club is making as much money as it can without having to ever dip into the pockets of the owners or hardly ever. That should be the goal where our club can sustain itself with ease and not rely on our sugar daddies for funds. So for the sake of a name change to bring in more money i am all for it. As i stated it doesnt change anything Aston villa is, but to make the coffers bigger so that when we are in the premier league again, we cant be hit so easy with the likes of FFP and struggle financially to bring in players. Remember FFP hangs over us still, our club needs to be a profit club. If we turn down opportunities like this then we are limiting ourselves in the transfer market for inform players, we can't shift out of the loan market at the moment and that's sad to be honest. I dont know about you lot but i would love the fact we are not bringing in players who's careers have took a turn for the worse, injury prone or had fallouts at there clubs to the point we bring loanees to Villa all in hopes they work out rite for us. At the moment we are stuck in a loan market where potential naming rites on villa park and other sections could generate an extra fair bit of Income a year, that sees us out of all that type of transfer market because we can once again buy who we want, who is inform.. Another thing about the loan market is we are playing other teams players, reviving there careers most of the time, they go back and there career is back on track. All that is taking someone else's place who can be a permanent Aston Villa player, being permanent means they are Aston Villas till they are sold on or contracts out, our aim should be buying our own players again and increasing there worth and now Dean Smith is here that should happen under him as he knows how to coach them and play them rite. Navigating the loan market is not only stopping us from finding real inform players but also cashing in on any players who are not loaners. We could be making some extra funds by selling on once there contracts are due up or they too are inform having the season of a lifetime and an offer to good to be true comes in.
  16. Well they say that Manchester United could make as much as 26 million a year if they sold old Trafford naming rites. I don't think it's because it's a premier league team, I think it also is the city and how much business is being generated in that city that will bring the big fish in to take up the name. With it being birmingham the second biggest city in the country that could fetch a decent sponsor alone I do think your rite in a sense that there is a difference between a championship and premier side, it's bound to have an effect on the money generated by the sponsor. Also fan base I think, if a club has a big fan base that's also going to help a decent sponsor coming in as it's better advertisement. The location as well is Villa Park a place where there are high traffic volumes or levels of commuting. There's alot of factors Involved I think..
  17. Could have the Rocket Villa Park club and have strippers lap dancing on the corner flags while corners are being taken..
  18. Sure you meant the Tony Xia Villa Park rite ?
  19. If Chelsea are happy too, I would be happy to sign Tammy on permanent. Kodjia is the one I would sell on, in my eyes I don't think he's upto premier league standards. Kodjia gets to hot tempered fast and as others say is selfish, maybe not as much as previous seasons but he still is. I think we should sell Kodjia and replace him with someone who fits with the current style of play. I think Abraham fits nicely into our team and hopefully Chelsea will sell but only if we approach while we are still in the championship. Don't think theirs a hope and prayer of signing Tammy if we do get promoted then try signing. Chelsea don't like to sell to rivals they said no to selling a player to Tottenham and came out with the rivals reason.
  20. If it's a loaner I would like us to sign it's this lad Tammy Abraham, he fits the bill for us and with our new style, clean Smith has Tammy scoring and I'm sure we ha e yet to see the best he has to offer. Yeah we need to make him permanent one way or another, he's an neck of a scorer and sure he is enjoying his time with us. Tammy feels like the main man surely, the one we are relying on for the majority of goal, good replacement for kodjia. The thing with Tammy is he can cut it in the premiere, I don't think kodjia could now, we need reliable scorers and kodjia hasn't been the same for abit now. In my eyes Tammy is a must sign for alot of reasons and do think he has alot to let loose still and think Dean Smith will get the best out of him in the end. I think Tammy wants to be back where he belongs also which is the premiere but Chelsea are reluctant too sell to other clubs in the premiere, they don't like selling to competition which could directly affect them..
  21. Hope we can sign this player he is very good in my eyes and has a fair amount of experience. Tuanzebe is very fast on and off the ball, most of the time he has been rock solid for us, I do hope man Utd decide they don't want him bacķ and let us have him for cheap.
  22. Am so fed up of these storys coming out saying he will be off in january or if we fail to get promotion, I think he will stay with us. Don't think any club from above is going to pay that price tag for him, they all had a chance to come swooping in for Jack when they could of got him dirt cheap and was playing fantastic, yet didnt. I just can not see anyone coming in paying the minimum of 60million for Grealish and I am totally fine with that. I also think Jack heard what the owners had to say and said yeah I'll stick around and take the rise in wages knowing there plans. This release clause story that keeps popping up is driving me nuts and i tend not to believe a bunch of clubs, players, ex players, managers or ex managers and whoever that want to stir the pot. When there is proof of it then ill start to worry about our lad Jack going, till then i. sure he wil keep putting in excellent performances under Dean Smith as he seem to know how to handle his players.
  23. He's a good player but at 31 if we do go up, the style we play I do not think he could cut it again but I maybe wrong. I do hear what people are saying as a caution and I agree somewhat with them and I don't think he would carry on with us if we entered the premier, think he would be sold on. Our squad would change alot upon entering the premier anyway, the owners want young meat on the field and to play the way Smith wants us playing requires extreme stamina/physicality. Running around the pitch flat out for 90 minutes playing the smith way is very intense and gruelling, don't think 30+ year olds doing that In the premiere is a good idea. But I do also understand what others are saying, as a sub Bolasie poses a threat, he can burn whatever he has in the tank over the last 30 mins or so. Having a Bolasie on the bench coming on after half time as proved he can do some damage with his crosses and pace. Bolasie can cause problems to opposition very quickly as he has shown time and time again what he can do, bringing him on as a starter mite make him much less affective.
  24. Some coach is an understatement I think. Dean Smith at the moment is like a Spartan Coach, I can just picture him now saying (This is Villa) not sparta. To me Smith and everyone who is working at the side of Smith have done wonders I didn't believe in miracles but I do now, with how fast and smooth Smith has got on with things he deserves the championship trophy end of the season if we keep putting in these displays. I believe that Smith knows he has the rite team to take him all the way to the premiere. Smith knows that when his lads are playing there best that on the rite days that we will be taking all 3 points home. I honestly wished we had of had this set up earlyier, wished I didn't support bruce so much at the end and glad I gave my nod for Smith and said no to Henry. Would of been a disaster Henry would of, would of been getting relegated under henry and someone would of been buying more cabbages.
