Passing is good, very good, just one problem is that long ball trying to find someone it isn't doing. Also we are still looking possession to silliness at times. The energy levels look ok but as someone suggested before match starts at the moment we just don't have that energy Smith had with his brentford team, it should change the more we play this type of football. I like the side to side football, looks better today than in Norwich game, so does the one touch passing.

Well those people who have said that are complete lunatics, both Smith and bruce are complete different in how they go about there jobs. Bruce is the one that wouldn't be training his players where Smith will, SMITH has game plans where Bruce didn't. Honestly no one should even need to explain how the two are complete different or how Smith will be better than bruce by miles. Some people will just go shout all sorts out as soon as we lose and often it's complete silliness. The problem with some fans is that they want everything rite now and because we don't get it then it's throw the manager or coach under the bus. There is no patience with some fans and they expect villa to be blazing this league, yet not realising this mess started a while before we exited the premier league and continued to get worse. We have tried throwing money at winning and while it nearly worked I do believe the team we had last season would not of been good enough to make a dent in the top flight, we would of been back down again. So let's get this rite shall we, get a plan in place, get a man who can get a plan in place and give as many seasons as is needed to make that change that Aston Villa need. It is sorely needed as well and it won't happen overnight nor in some weeks or months, I don't expect it too although the quicker it happens obviously better. I do think there are those fans that will call for Smith's head just to start or try to start to unsettle other fans, I pay no attention to them, it's obvious what they are trying to do. Some people should realise what the championship is all about, tough clubs, many who have been stuck here for long time who know how it works and adapt quickly and will run over relegated premier league sides in a heartbeat. These clubs In this league have had no choice but to do things the rite way, a way in which premier league sides can avoid because premier league sides can throw money at it and buy the talent. Soon as premier league sides lose that money they will be in trouble just like our club villa have been and they will be forced to do things the rite way too. So you see a relegated premier league side who has been up there for 15 years or more, where money controls talent and real tactics arnt as much an issue like they are in the championship, if they get relegated the club has troubles on the field facing teams that have had no choice but to adopt real football philosophy. Championship football is how real football should be, it's less about money than it's top flight, it's more about the game itself and how it should be really played. I would honestly for a tester would love to see the teams who have been in the premier league upwards of 15 years be added to the championship for a season. Just to see how many actually would deal with it for one season, i actually think it would be a very small number, think there are only around 9 or so teams that are still in there from the 90s, two of which like west ham and Newcastle have been relegated before so makes about 7 clubs.

If I were to say something to Jack it would be (have a go son). I have noticed when he is on the edge of the box it's like he lacks confidence at the moment to just have a crack and try and net us a goal. Jack will pass that ball on before having a crack on goal and that so needs to change and hope it does. I'm not going to deny that Jack isn't putting on the displays of last season, because he isnt. Something between last season and this season has done something to his game, he needs to find what that is and put it to rest. I would put a bet that all that crap with Tottenham did his head in and in some way may of let it get in his head abit, I think they came in and unsettled jack. See jack last season to this season are complete different at the moment, jack needs a momentum boost and quick and that's why he just needs to get on that ball and go for it with confidence that we know he can muster up. I love Jack and don't want to see him go down a path where it's affecting his game. We all should be supporting Grealish as with any other villa player really. Whatever it is Jack has going on I know he can bounce back because he is most of the time a good minded lad with an excellent set of skills who can read the game very good.

Didn't play awful, just didn't play brilliant though. It would be highly unfair of any of us to criticise Jack and not the other players, the only one who deserves a good mention would be Tuanzebe and all because he played really good. Norwich outplayed our team with there attacking football, as someone mentioned in the Norwich post, under bruce this would of easy been well earnt loss. Losing two of our players changed it for us, the ref wasn't the best either, really no excuses we lost and it seems lime some are trying to pin the blame on Jack which I don't think so as there were just as many others who would share that blame. We just got out played in the end and by a well drilled Norwich team.

I love Grealish but I do not think he's done much tonight, not many of our guys have to be fair, Tuanzebe is our standout player, could of easy been more against us if it was not for him.

Anybody who thinks we should of won this against a side like Norwich who is on form at the moment is absoloute crackers. Let's put it this way we are under new management, learning to play an entirely new way all while alot of these championship teams have already been doing it, we are playing catch up now. While we have the talent we also need to remember that this new style to us takes as long as its going to take, coaches, players our team as a whole need time, it is no quick fix and it could take seasons, I hope it doesn't take that long but I am prepared to be patient now, it takes as long as it takes. I myself would much rather our coaches get our players playing rite than go up this season over some football we have not got down properly, where we end up in trouble and possibly back down all because we didn't get it rite.

Absoloute gone to crap, we were outplayed and to be honest Norwich have been winning games for a while now. We are playing a team that is more than well gelled together, we are just learning all this and touch to touch football will be alot faster than what ours is. The possession of Norwich has been key, they shut us out pretty much especially in the second half, shame it is because I were hoping that one goal lead would of rocked them,they just kept on coming.

I wish Grealish would just have a go, it's like he is to scared to at times, yes he's won a free kick but maybe he could of had a goal before it got to that point. Think our players are starting to feel frustrated in a way i dont blame them their has been some poor decisions from the ref this game.

Looks like we're going to crap man, Norwich are going to town on us, to many of our players going to sleep. This has been a game of who screws up and so far we seem to be winning in that area of screw ups.. see there player just catch our guy sleeping then ran circles around him, we need to wake up.

The keeper looked shocked lol. Do you know if Elmo had of been booked, everybody would of been seeing the funny side to it, it's one of those things that just looks daft when it's done. Because the player also gets done makes it even more funny for all to see.

I didn't go to the match so when I just read what he did in an article I was like yeah Elmo that's an imagination and good thinking lol. Spot on to Elmo, sure he won't get as many crosses into the box, but if he plays how Smith wants him to play, he certainly could be working towards movement, momentum, passing and possession, which all in turn should help Elmo to get that ball safely into Abrahams goal scoring feet. I think Elmo can play to Deans tactics as much as any, he is also fast and quick thinking. I have always liked Elmo and how he can get down a wing, with Deans way won't be seeing so much of it, but instead all players will be seeing more first touches just less on ball time as it's all about moving that ball on as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Trying to make a villa team now ive done a spanish side, in form suso is a beast for spain on the wing, like lightning. But yeah some villa players are actually costly, like hourihane, el ghazi, tuanzebe and nyland and only silver, it certainly was cheaper to make a full spanish team than it is villa.

Well the brentford lad in the interview on villa view said expect teams to become frustrated with not having the ball, he was that confident Dean would come here and do better because of the quality we had to there team. Sound like Dean worked amazing at brentford with next to nothing and built his rep up from tough work, grafting his team from dust, imagine what he could do at villa. Didn't see the game but sounds like for a first game fans were impressed, dinosaur and goofball out, good attacking, passing and good minded football in..
