  1. Should of signed Grabban, it was only a matter of time before any of those players we couldn't keep last season came back to bite us in the butt- Bruce out.. If Grabban was offside for one of his goals and we had a couple of goals disallowed, the referee and linesmen yet again have done it to us. Its one thing letting 5 past but when the officials seem to be working against you, its very tough to deal with. I sware some of those officials need the sack in the championship, the EFL needs to shake them up as they're ridiculously bad and it's like they're out for us. If it's not Grealish and not booking there team for bad fouls, its being to lenient on there side and booking our players straight away, to add onto that its not catching offsides, then disallowing goals, one would think there is a conspiracy going on here. If Grabban was offside, why on earth wasn't there a replay and final decision, not one linesman picked it up, very bad and more than mad over it. That said though our defence is bad, can't wait till January till we reinforce that and hopefully goalkeeper..
  2. I will be very gutted and hurt if Chelsea don't sell him to us, we should try snap Tammy up in January on permanent he is outstanding. I think if we get promoted there would be less chance in Chelsea selling as they don't like to sell to clubs in the premier who are competition in there league. I also think Tammys reluctant move to us before he came here is no doubt behind him now, I think he's really starting to enjoy it with us. There is also the fact he didnt hesitate to show his allegiance in the derby, sticking it to city fans by pointing to our badge in front of them. I think if we can gain on top spot, would really increase our chances of perma signing him in January. It's a real shame we didn't win today as were still 9 points out from norwich. We should of won this game, but happy were firing goals at least. We just need a tighter defence, id bring in a few defenders because Chester and taylor aren't cutting it, keep Tuanzebe and Hutton of course. Do we get 5 or 6 players to sign in January, if it's 5, then I would certainly make a goalkeeper and 3 defenders and then try sign Abraham, if its 6 then add a winger as i fear for Adomah as it looked bad in the derby. I can't be sure how many signings were allowed in the championship in January transfers any one know please??
  3. new keeper and apart from hutton and Tuanzebe I'd say bring a bunch of defenders in to strengthen us, we can't keep letting these in. We don't need no midfielders or forwards, maybe a winger to replace Adomah if ever injured so we have options other than Bolasie..
  4. So I thought I'll look and see the score then I see that it was 5-5, my first thoughts is what kind of crazy cuckoo game was it tonight with that many goals lol.. I didn't see it but not impressed we let 5 in even if we did draw, that tells me that if we was in front and we allowed forest back into the game then something is still terribly wrong in defence and goal. At least we are firing goals back though, we wouldn't of seen this kind of fire power under bruce so the problem isn't there or midfield I don't think it's defence and goalkeeper. And here I thought nyland was beginning to settle in goal, obviously not. Unfortunately we let our best opportunity to keep an excellent keeper who played ace under us go to crap and be sold to the baggies for 5mill uh??
  5. Adomah will be missed sorely, but am sure Bolasie will do just as good.
  6. Would be a wonder if he could score off that, think it would be a contender for goal off the season.. I like Bolasie, he can put a hell of a cross in, he's a very good swap for Adomah, but shame Adomah is no doubt hurt, least Adomah had a donkey ride off the pitch..
  7. Yes that's deffo a drag down on our keeper and should of been disallowed, disgusting really I didn't notice till you mentioned. Our players should of protested, where were the linesman on that one.. Cheating scum.. It certainly feels lime most teams were coming up against are having to result to these dirty tactics against us..
  8. Roman Pearce mite have something to say on not making it number 10
  9. The run was amazing for sure, i thought no way is he going to make it, but hut was full charge like a steaming bull on that goal, he was having it. Isn't no one talking about his double takedown of two city players before final whistle, can't stop laughing about it. And my son kept saying at some of our players, dad why is your team thinking they can do karate kid, they are doing roundhouse kicks some of them are lol.
  10. I dont need to say anything took the words out of my mouth. Dean Smith is absolutely the man for the championship so far and so are our players, massive improvement from this club. All hail the new era at villa, we will be back where we belong. Ooooops I said something, just could resist!!!! Highlights here:
  11. Just found this vid , it's the city side made by one of there idiot fans and the crap they say about grealish when he goes down just annoys me. Had to be watched to see it from there side it went up about an hour ago. I think and know they got it wrong about Jack, he's ace and they know all they can do is take him down. They got some nerve to say Grealish is making a meal of it. They know he's class yet won't never admit it. Same with huttons goal and how he says how no one took him down and it was basic football, he ran through the lot of them point blank.. Just can't admit it can they, that city got trashed. All over social media I don't think I've seen a decent city fair review, just more of how they could of stopped our goals and grealish was down all the time and milking it That vid gets a dislike from me in a major way lol..
  12. Glad the lad scored, what a game and what a scoreline Grealish stay at villa for rest of your life please ...
  13. Sorry for late reply. I say R.I.P to those lost but never forgotten, taken to early in life, it was 6 years before I was born but my respects are still for the family's and lost ones..
  14. I don't know but you know what it reminds me of, where females during the war just wanted seperate toilets in the workplace to the men and better pay. Do you know how hard those women fought to even be heard it took them a very long time to get male bosses to come to the table over it. Ok so it's not toilets but it is about a standard of football that is being delivered and about a pay that obviously has a big gap to even the lowest in the premier league to the highest in the championship ship. The EFL must realise that there are some big games pulling in some serious fans in the championship, more so than some premier games. It doesn't make sense to pay half the premier teams 100 mill each a season and not some of the big clubs from the championship who pull in as many fans on the day. I do hope the EFL are taken to court and made to pay those teams that have been affected for as long as its been going on, because I bet it's been going on way longer than before we dropped down..
  15. I don't see why we wouldn't be apart of it, we may of founded the football league but if things are not suiting us and other clubs anymore. I don't see why our club wouldn't put the name in front of this situation and to say it's Aston Villa the founders would highlight even more how big of an issue this actually is. It certainly needs sorting out and as I've said I don't think the EFL will budge on it which only leaves one choice to leave. The EFL are treating all the other leagues like crap compared to the premier, they need to be held responsible for it.
  16. I live yorkshire now so only game I can get to is the Yorkshire games, being a single dad n all it's hard for me to travel to the Midlands now.. I am all for the red button vanishing for clubs that are at home and vanishing from a region, but not if you in a different part of the country..
  17. What if the red button was only available to people outside of the region. I know fans come in from out of the city also but the red button should be gone for the fans who are travelling to games at home at least..
  18. That is why the clubs should break away and make a second premier league,it is obvious the EFL isnt respecting the big clubs thathave fallen out of the premiership. Not to mention making the gap in money coming in a season from broadcasts between bottom premiere sides and top/big championship clubs, the gap is to absurd and disgusting. The only way I see it getting sorted is if the breakaway and a newly formed league happens because the EFL are laughing at our clubs not to mention all the way to the bank with the money they are raking in and not paying out. It's similar to life really what's going on here, if your not in the premier they are saying your club isn't getting anything like what the premier clubs are all while saying the premier is of a higher class than the championship and the rest aren't worth anything there for your in the lower class compared to the higher class. Everywhere where money is concerned there is greed, control and power and just when you think football had gone out of control with big money signing in the 90s. Now we have this effecting our game, a new low in football and it's one hell of a disgrace from the EFL makes your blood boil it does..
  19. Well I've just read there are about 15 or so clubs from the championship ready to form a breakaway PL2 which if happens is a bombshell. The EFL and SKY need to sort this out and pay the club's more, at a time a new deal get sealed they are asking for trouble and the club's will walk from the league which throws a whole season up in the air and possibly next season also. Imagine a walkout and what it could do to the championship, more clubs would no doubt have to be promoted from the lower league and demoted from the premier to fill the championship, just to fill the championship back up. Then there for all we know if this break away happens if other clubs in other leagues feel they are hard done by as well, they too could end up joining this new league or what could be a whole new set of leagues, could turn football into absoloute madness for a while. It's obvious the EFL and SKY have greed on there minds and them not paying the club's what they really should be earning from broadcasts. If an all new league is formed and by the club's that sign this deal, could sky then create a completely new deal that is with the club's directly and all money in that deal goes to the club's who run or are in that league??
  20. Nothing wrong with science, we can also tell what's science fact and fiction with turds sinking and floating lol
  21. I think our club villa earnt as little as 1 million for last season in 19 appearances on tv which is shockingly out of order considering what premier league clubs are pulling in. Aston Villa are not the only big club in the championship and there are alot from the championship that pull in just as many fans than what some of the premiere league clubs do. It's obvious something needs to change as championship clubs are being ripped off. It's pretty clear that the championship struggles way more than what the premier does and with all the FFP going on as of late, every pound counts I guess. I can't see the EFL/SKY paying more to championship clubs anytime soon which would suggest to me the only option which has already been mentioned would be to break away from the league. It would be a statement and half would it not if today all while at Villa Park those clubs that are there would choose to do this all while at the stadium that has the William McGregor statue outside at a club that helped created the first football league. It probably won't happen a break away but what if it did, it certainly would be historical that's for sure and because it is Aston villa I would imagine there would be alot of clubs following from the championship and possibly lower leagues. The EFL and SKY really need to careful about there deal, if they continue to pay low for each game in the championship it could come back to bite them. Paying 24 teams in the championship around 1 million a season (not all clubs are earning even half that I bet) which totals up to 25 million a season for all 24 clubs is greed. While there tv broadcast deal is earning 600 million over five years says exactly what is wrong with all this, it certainly needs sorting out.
  22. Wouldn't xia have to keep pouring money in himself to keep his percentage alive, otherwise it gets weakened overtime if others are putting money in and he isn't rite?? Also is there a thread where the current state of this TV deal is being talked?? I don't see one.. I think it's real bad that the lowest of premier league clubs are getting 100mill a season, yet championship clubs are seeing 100k a game or 10k if they are the away team, its proper rubbish that is.
  23. Not all some are heavy enough to sink..
  24. He is one players that maybe we can prize away from his club and he would be worth it, hesalready shown he is worth it. If we went up back in the premiere I feel by then he would be ready, providing he doesn't get hit with another bad injury. Bolasie is a sharp player and as someone pointed out has accurate, fast missile like crosses. I also think those that are saying he would be 31 or over and worrying could he handle the premier again, well I think he could with out a doubt, but it all rests whether Bolasie can remain injury free from now on. There are however plenty of Bolasie like players out there, question is does the club risk trying to take him on permanent if we go up, it is a risk. If we go up he could get injured in a few games then it's all over, spose it's like anything really I could go outside at anytime and get run over, this sort of thing can't be predicted. If he keeps playing the way he is, I'd say it would be worth the risk..
  25. I think you are rite, at Walsall he had just started managing rite?? Not to mention resources would have been slim and options on who he could bring into the club as well as who Smith had as a team. To me Smith moulded a team out of nothing at Walsall, for him it was his testing ground, his foundation for what would become his way of how he teaches his players, he would of had his downs as much as his ups but still didn't do to badly. Then he gets to brentford where it's a step up in resources, players and his own style of football has moved forward. Smith by this time has figured more than a few things out, constantly learning the game as he goes and what he can do to improve. Unlike bruce and other managers who dont coach, Smith has learned that hard work and teaching his players a solid game plan is the way forward. So Smith puts in mid table finishes at brentford roughly the same place every season. We get to this season and Smith's brentford were being tipped to be a challenge for the championship with which is also a promotion push. Before that promotion push ever happens we have managed to prize smith away from brentford, with the fact we will never know if Smith would of took brentford all the way to the premier and I myself will always be curious about that one. So here Smith comes to villa, having hardly any resources at his previous clubs, having moulded two clubs with pretty much nothing. Having to just deal with what he had available, to me this is a guy who has had to scrape the bottom of the barrell in football and make do. The team smith inherited from bruce was put together poorly but Smith knew if he came in he could turn a bruce disaster team into a winning one. Smith wouldn't of come here if he wasn't sure on the fact he could do something with villa. Knowing the pool of players bruce had under him yet couldn't get them to do anything other than run back n forth for 90mins and goofball it about, Smith must of been licking his lips saying quietly I'll show you bruce and this league. Smith does read the game well, he reads it that well that i am surprised and shocked of how we were under bruce and how we have come far so quickly under Smith. Smith has everything in place I believe to take Aston Villa back to the premier and boy does he deserve it, I shall probably cry if he does the job for us as I admire him in a good many ways. Smith is one coach that when the villa play I want to listen too, because he's interesting, what he has to say is honest, makes sense and he says it as if he believes it. I don't believe for a second that Smith would of given brentford up knowing he was about ready for a championship run at brentford. There fans have nothing but praise for Smith most of which are gutted he's gone, still love him and what has done for brentford and said they would still follow him and see what he does at villa. It's a tough league to get out of and I fear the only managers who would of been good enough are the ones that have been rocking this league for so long.
