  1. The FA cup is a crazy run, always has been, you got lower league teams desperate to beat the pants of premiere sides, while championship sides care more for promotion to the premier. It's a different attitude amongst all the leagues in the FA cup. One thing is while were doing well at the moment why even risk it with our main team, knowing a few bad injurys to our star players could really be the end of our promotion challange. Were struggling for defenders as is and a keeper thats just finding it tough in the championship, what if they get injured bad. I don't want to risk it, it's a complete different tone too: I don't see the FA cup worth it. If Smith can bring more defenders in, new keeper by the time the cups well under way then yeah I dont mind so long as we can remain injury free, but i doubt thats possible. I bet any money some serious i jury Will happen to someone like Mcginn, Grealish, Hutton, Nyland, Tuanzebe, Bolasie and so on. If were going to do the FA cup play the players that arnt getting time in the first team and not getting on the bench, maybe we can get some of these guys really pulling some great performances off.
  2. Are you serious lol, of course our owners could afford him without FFP. You do know how much Wes and Nas have between them rite?? Nas also with his family are the richest Egyptian family in egypt, they have over 30 billion between them all. Wes prob has around 3.3 billion dollars and Nas has even more 6.8 billion dollars which translates too around 5.2 billion great british pounds. Yeah we can afford Tammy, God knows how many times over if the owners chose.. Would also like to add that we have Christian Purslow, God knows what he's done so far and what deals he has struck, but at Liverpool in the two years he was there secured more than 1 billion in funds with Nike, Yokohama, Hublot, Delta, Carabao, Beats, Hotel Tonight and Wipro. If he can be as useful at Villa as he was at Liverpool, he will make our club a fair bit of coinage.. There is also Jesus Garcia Pitarch, who turned athletic Madrid around, not to mention helped secure some very high profile signings at the club he was at. We have two very successful guys at our club with a ton of experience who could help secure the likes of Tammy abraham. I personally don't think FFP is that much of an issue anymore if at all, The EFL wernt as tough with us as they were other teams The EFL came in during the time we were under Xia and ritely so we were in deep water then having nearly gone bankrupt. Another thing would suggest if FFP was a factor we would of needed money in, the sale of Jack Grealish would of gone ahead regardless I think, yet it didn't and the owners said hands off. If FFP was a factor they would of gone and sold jack as he was the only player who at tbe time would of brought some cash in and injected some coin back onto our books. Yeah I don't think FFP is a thing anymore at villa, but I would like the owners or Purslow to come out and state that. It's tough getting answers these days isn't it and leaves us fans questioning this stuff over and over.
  3. I can't see Tammy being Chelsea first teamer again. Chelsea being the big club they are want to bring in stars that are taking the footballing stage, internet, news, tv by storm, they want there fans to see the next pele if you get what I'm trying to say. Although Tammy is scoring, remember he was not even making the bench at chelsea. Chelsea know he's scoring and where he's scoring which doesn't mean Tammy is guarenteed to bring that form back into the first team at chelsea as nothing is 100% when moving on. Personally I think Tammy is being wasted at chelsea, I think he's also starting to see that himself. When the talk of bringing Tammy to Villa park came up, the lad wasn't having any of it until he was advised to over and over, now his attitude has changed, id put a bet he would love to come here permanently. Also think JT being at villa is helping Tammy make a decision on us, I think JT could be the decider which keeps Tammy at villa, they did have a close relationship at one point. But yeah I think Chelsea are more likely to cash in on Tammy and bring someone new in who's taking center stage in the world of football. Tammy is scoring but he's only making the headlines for us and it's not as if the young lad is playing for a premiere side at the moment, hes scoring fir a championship side its a big difference but hes capable, very capable. We will have to wait and see what happens with this, I see it as our owners would be crackers not to try and bring him to villa. If our owners were to bring Tammy here, the lad could cost anything from 30mill upwards. Chelsea however if they do want to bring someone really flashy in to for the fans to enjoy, they will also need the funding, given the new fifa rules coming in 2020, makes perfect sense to cash in on the likes of Tammy and Odoi and other stars they have. The way I see it is unless Chelsea go and slash there club they will be breaking some rules, so they have too. Another thing is Chelsea need to stick within FFP and won't be able to go spend 100 mill and up on a striker. The only way for Chelsea to make a big move would be to sell what everyone around is calling there hoarding (the shed). If chelsea sell there (shed) of player's, they not only bring in a sizeable money fund from there hoarded players, they are selling to meet fifa's new rules for 2020 and some lucky team get some real good talent. Chelsea have guarenteed bank because of there hoarded players which in turn is guarenteed wealth, then no FFP can be broken by them, there shrunk squad size has improved and they can be free to choose pretty much any player/players in the world to bring to Chelsea, in a way they have a win win scenario and would be crazy not to cash in on players to make the team they want. I will say this, it's a perfect time too snag our loaners from premier teams, try too, we just have to do our best to make FFP as best we can mean time. Bringing Tammy to villa park permanent is vital to our plans for the future, we need a wonder kid and Tammy is it, Tammy and Odoi would be perfect for us in the championship or the premier. I would love someone to ask our owners if it's possible to bring Tammy here Permanently or someone who can see the picture more clearly. As fans we just do not know our situation with FFP, so a little insight to see if it's possible would be lovely.
  4. I think Adomah is one and it's a shame to say it but I agree because of his age and his position it would be extremely tough for him in the premiere. Then there's the injury he suffers, he's had alot hasn't he, the premiere would not doubt add to his injurys. The owners I think are certainly going to want young talent in and reinforce what they said as they came into the club about young talent. I think the likes of adomah and kodjia, there days are numbered once were promoted. Its a shame but the club must come first and ageing talent is all ok in the championship and no doubt there will be clubs that would snatch them off of us, they would be missed and never forgotten for there time and what they did to get us back where we belong that's for sure..
  5. Yes I spose you are rite and money coming in from all directions is always worth it to appease this FFP. I do think though that we are not nearly as bad with FFP as some may think. There would only be one way to test how good we are with FFP and that's to buy the loaners we have. Whats the winners purse these days for an FA cup victory and lifting the cup??
  6. Would much prefer concentrating on promotion and save our legs. OF course if our guys feel fit enough and up to it then don't see why we could do a league and cup run. I'm just concerned about injurys, injury that we don't want or need because our talent is needed for a direct assault on the championship, a title that I would much rather be able to say we won.
  7. Yes that true, yet I feel if we go up only Bolasie maybe good enough out of those you mentioned. We would need a ton of players if we got promotion.
  8. An here's thinking he would be the quickest sacked manager in history.. Still glad we didn't have him as manager, we'd be sitting bottom of the league or close by now..
  9. We would need to if we're to compete in the premiere, sorry but I think that would be it for our strikers, don't think they are premiere talent.
  10. We can afford Tammy, our wages are already sky high one more player isn't going to any damage, the damage on player wages is already done lol. We can afford to buy him or have people forgot who our owners are?? Simple we need to approach chelsea and try to buy Tammy..
  11. My negativity towards loans is simply they are loans, they are not ours to benefit from in anyway apart from having them at our club for the loan spell. While we're having loaners in spots I also see it as players who are actually ours are missing out on spots they should be taking up but at the moment that bit can't be helped. Remember loaners who are coming in from other clubs in the premiere are left to rot on the bench and as I said these new fifa rules can't come in fast enough. Premiere sides have to slash there hoarding of players because they are holding on to talent for the money, players like Tuanzebe, Tammy and Bolasie are all but frustrated. Championship clubs can't get the likes of these star players because we are made to secure them as loans only. Its frustrating for us and other clubs, the players who came here and revived a career that basically got took from them all because there current club decided to push them away to bring in more in form talent, which in turn is wrong and sees them sidelined. I see alot wrong in the way the top bunch of clubs in the premiere operate with players. Chelsea have a what 40 man squad if not over and they have more than 8 out on loan at the moment and it's all for the money. The new rules come in and clubs have to shrink to 28 players, only have a max of 8 out on loan which is much better. To think at first Tammy was reluctant to come to us, yet since he's been here I bet that view has completely changed. I do wonder what Tammy himself has to say about the possibility of being recalled all to just be sidelined again, I bet Chelsea wouldn't put him back in first team football or if they did as soon as he stopped scoring would be sidelined again. We have done Chelsea's and manchester uniteds job for them, they should of been working with these youngsters day in day out. Weve brought them in seen there worth and now at any point could be recalled in January and it's most likely to talk more money or too cash in on them to another club showing interest, because of how well theyve played under us not because they want these players to play as we do as we see them as stars. That's why I say if we're to secure loans there should be an option to buy slapped on the contract as there forms returns under us not Chelsea or Manchester united or everton. We should be having these loans permanent but bruce didn't do it or even try for the three of them, another cock up by the dinosoaur if you ask me..
  12. If they recall him yes it would be a huge blow to not only us but Tammy as well. Remember Tammy pretty much as it stands has know future at chelsea, wasn't even making bench him and Odoi. We need to get promoted this season it's that simple, we need to offer Chelsea an offer they can't refuse. Because Tammy is only 21, he's scoring for us I would offer Chelsea whatever it took to secure Tammy permanent. It's actually really annoying that we have these loan players and they are not even ours to keep, could be recalled. Not only the fact they cane here without a career any linger at there current club, but they have made a career at our club and there form has picked up again, basically were doing there job for them in making these players better again. I can't wait till we stop doing loaners, it's highly frustrating and I think if we're going to do it in the future have the option loan to buy put into the contract. Tammy and Tuanzebe are two loaners who apart from snoddy, johnstone and grabban, i would say id be very sad and gutted we didnt secure them. 2020 can't come fast enough for me, I hope those new fifa rules coming in means Chelsea and man u have to slash there players by alot. Although I don't mean harm towards Tammy and Tuanzebe's career, I do hope it puts them out in the dark at chelsea and Manchester United so we obtain them. Think Tammy and Tuanzebe have played far better for us than when they were at there clubs.
  13. Yes it certainly is the case that, taking the best defences apart does put teams on alert, it also makes them feel cautious that if they step wrong that they are going to be caught out because of it.
  14. Alot of these teams outside of the premiere don't even want to concentrate on cup games, they want to be able to field teams without running themselves dead, promotion is all they really care about. What dean did at brentford was pretty remarkable where they finished and with a team pit together without coinage. DS has done a similar thing at villa so far he's made do with what's available to him and got on with it, he should have the full backing of the owners and then watch him really get our team going. It actually scares me abit to think if he's this capable with a team that was a wreck under bruce, that in such a short time, what is he capable of with a team of his own choosing, his own signings.
  15. I'm willing to stick with Smith outrite. Even if things went wrong for a while, it wouldn't always be that way with Smith where as bruce we knew things wernt going to change ever. Smith is a constant learner of the game he would adapt and I fear if we were to ever get rid all because of a bad run, we would end up with another decade of managers poorly managing us which I do not want. I want Smith in the job regardless, I feel he is the man for the present and future and I don't see anyone out there doing any better to be honest.
  16. He should of gone as soon as the playoffs finished, that is exactly it, but alot of us thought he maybe able to pull the following season off, he didnt. The owners should if gone eith Smith as soon as they came in, we know it now but at the time the picture wasn't so clear.
  17. Awwwww bless them, I too hear you and feel for them, it certainly looks like they feel what we felt under bruce and they know a new approach is needed. What's the bet that borough end up getting rid of there manager if the results keep flowing bad and try bring in someone who can do a Dean Smith. Hope whatever the club chooses that they can turn it around, there fans seem pretty ok, reasonable and able to admit defeat unlike other clubs fanbase's. My heart goes out to them for having to be put under dinosaur football that's quickly became prehistoric and ancient, we found the cure for that I hope borough do too.
  18. I would say since John Gregory it's been a pile or trash at the helm, he was the last decent manager. When I think of a song I think of the ones at the end of Rambo first blood it's a long road. I found around 15 waste if space managers to eventually come across the one we needed all along, that is indeed an age of crap. 19. Why what are they saying, could you copy n paste a few good posts please??
  20. I dont think its just Nylands fault, id say it between him, chester and taylor, they all share the blame i think. Some of the shots/goals scored wouldn't of been if our defence was what it was last season. In fact imagine if we had the way were firing in goals now with the defensive capabilities of last season, would remarkable we would.
  21. Yes we've become quite the joy to watch. Like you've been going out with this woman for years, then things have got boring but love her no matter how boring it's become. Then suddenly she decides to spice it up in the bedroom and that new thing she's doing you just can't get enough
  22. I did say when he leaves villa and no doubt he will of been through more managerial positions. If we can give Southgate a try at his age then certainly Smith deserves a go at it down the line at the England job.
  23. We have a good chance signing them with the new fifa rules coming in 2020, premier teams have to shrink and the hoarding of players as well as only allowed up to 8 players out on loan. We have a very good chance at bringing in Tammy, Tuanzebe and Bolasie. Think of it as this, if Chelsea and man u had no space before these rules come into affect, imagine what it will be like once those rules come into play. Premiere teams can no longer make business of hoarding the talent so the only thing is to straight up sell them to team alike ours, sure the price will be high for Tammy but he's worth it to permanently say he's ours.
  24. Think at some point if he ever leaves villa, deserves a chance to manage England..
  25. Would of been lucky to see 5 mins of entertainment under bruce, we was a wreck. God knows what bruce does as manager, I would be very surprised if he lands a decent managers job again, he should give up or change if he's not.
