  1. He does look high doesn't he, but pics can be deceiving, I myself do not look rite on pics, can't stand them myself lol. Well it is the life isn't it, footballers come in and we the fans expect so much but the money, the fame ends up destroying some footballers to a point we criticize as soon they do something wrong. Sure it's always easy for us to sit there and say they were on X amount, always bringing the money they are on into it and never thinking about how vulnerable a person can really be, me losing my mum over a month ago has been an eye opener in how some of us can bottle things up and it goes unoticed. I am curious as well as to how many bruce did alienate, because it certainly isn't just gabby that went through it, as someone else pointed out bruce just didn't know how to get the best out of players, come to think of it we have had far to many managers like that who let good talent go to crap.
  2. Friday 9th November the funeral by looks of it.. Didn't know he was on the board for blues in 1964.. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/heres-funeral-sir-doug-ellis-15299599 Doug's custome plated Rolls Royce, is a beauty.
  3. While I do understand where you are coming from, this is also the sort of behaviour that bruce displayed and other managers before him that put players out in the cold. Let's be honest shall we we have had no end of managers that have had there favourites and because of that type of behaviour there have been many players who's careers have suffered because of it which led to the state of our team struggling. Hopefully though those days of players feeling like they can't break through and get first team football are at an end. Players should be able to put time in and be rewarded for it, just a shame it took so damn long for things to change, a dip in form is not an excuse to alienate anyone. The more that players do speak up, the more it does look like bruce was a complete A hole behind close doors to the players, wonder if it was more shut up than respect towards bruce. Bruce did learn alot from Fergie, no doubt he too learned to instil fear in training, changing rooms, that fergie was known for .
  4. So is it true I wonder that Gabby got in touch after he left and offered to play for us for free. He says he was in a dark place after he left and got his agent to get in touch with bruce to volunteer his services. I myself can not understand why bruce wouldn't of took him up on this, I actually feel for Gabby, especially when it was at a time we needed a striker. I'll be honest my feelings towards bruce has changed big time, how could anyone be like the way he has been towards our players, knowing we needed a striker and one of our own as well who offered his services as free. I have deffo lost any of the respect I had for bruce that I had left, I bet gabby was heartbroken the way that he left our club. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/i-been-bad-place-gabby-15298250
  5. Think we all have been dreaming of it for such a long time that it is in fact very wet the thoughts of it.. Bet our players are foaming at the mouth, homer simpson style.
  6. I think your rite and think Dean will notice that and Hourihane will love it. Think Dean will have headaches with all the options available as most of our guys have been begging for some proper tactics that were not their under bruce. Bruce was so willing to drop guys, get rid of them and it must of been easy for bruce to select a team with how he goes off, Dean however will want to give everyone the chance to impress and they are going to want to do that. I'm dieing to know what the formation and line-up is, against swansea wish I could go to the game, is it being televised at least???

    John Terry

I see what your saying, there could be plenty more stories they could write about John. It is also amusing that it now it is being made to look as though John has a Holly Willoughby problem, only the mirror could do such a thing lol Cant say as I blame him if he does either, that energy from no football has to go somewhere ?

    John Terry

Well i don't think John is interested, he seems to be doing a bit of picture liking on Holly Willoughby. 30 picture likes john, some mite consider that as having too many breaks when you should be training our players and not visiting the bathroom lol. https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/john-terry-enjoying-retirement-likes-13430849
  9. But if it was John McClane, it would be Hey-Seus, i mean Zeus-Die hard 3 ?
  10. January window, put a bet on brentford being stripped of a couple of there players, at least a left back, central defender or a striker. Think benrahma is there only striker who may come because there other strikers have not been at brentford long..
  11. Really enjoyed this video from the villa view couple days ago interviewing the brentford lad, thoroughly enjoyed it. I am curious myself what the formation Dean will play, not just for villa but so I can give it a whirl on fifa 19. Was thinking maybe 5-3-2 defensive wing back system, bring some of the youth in as i suspect he may do so or a 4-1-3-2, with 2 attacking wingers on both flanks, think either way Smith will want two strikers on at least?? One thing I liked what the brentford lad said is that if Dean thinks they are good, no matter the age your old enough, that I like alot.
  12. Were being to impatient as fans, we have no choice now to slow it down. I said even with bruce even though he didnt get it rite, that the teams in this league have been playing complete different to the premiere league style of football. Both leagues the premier and championship offer different styles of play, and teams who have been adopting that attacking style of play are running over teams in the upper flight for at least half a decade or more now. Those teams who are also making the jump yo the premier league are setting a new standard of football in my eyes and eventually even some of those big name top ten teams are going to struggle. I would even put a bet that in a decade or so we won't even recognise the premier league which was once a slower game to what it is in this league we are in, to many teams making that transition up and booting the old lot out. Football is crazy rite now as money sides are starting to lose out against well drilled sides and this is how football should be again.
  13. Us fans with Deal Smith, it's going to have to take some good proper patience, give him time and don't shout for his head if this season doesn't go well. I do hope however he can bring a shock to this league quick and we can catch many teams off guard who are expecting us to play like we did under bruce. Let's just be patient and give him a few seasons or more, this isnt going to happen quick, whatever it takes to get villa back to where it should be..
  14. Yeah it is pretty much like a tripple cheese burger, all that juice flowing down your throat and you just can't get enough.
  15. Dean Smith, what can you say apart from welcome and good luck in your role. Bring that attacking football on, it is well needed at our club and we do have the players who will not only enjoy it, but will shine because of it.

    John Terry

Welcome back JT you will do a great job, sure you will make our defence solid again..
  17. So I wonder how much of the new 300million pound arsenal 2019-2020 deal Nassef will get, he must be loving the news. It will only make him even more richer, meaning our club even more richer..
  18. I understand what your saying, but if they were not argueing to some extent over team issues i myself would be worried. I think both Henry and Terry certainly need to keep things in the open with eachother, be honest, truthful, respectful. keeping it about the team and leave the ego at the entrance to villa park and pick it back up on the way out, I think they are both mature enough to do that and they know that.
  19. Maybe thats why terry maybe his no2, terry can organise a defence to no end, i can see it now and picture a fruitful henry and terry partnership.
  20. I wouldn't want Henry doing it on his own, with Terry as his second we would have two managers pretty much making sure all goes alright. I think if Henry makes mistakes having Terry as support will help rectify anything, it could be a pretty dangerous partnership If they click and figure things out quick. I am sure both Henry and Terry could bring the success back to our club, I am down for them trying so long as they do it together, both there minds put together with all there knowledge should be formidable for any manager in this league and the premiereship. I say bring them in but even that's going to cost an arm n a leg, will be worth it though. Even if they are newbies to being managers, I just believe that both of them, there minds, love, knowledge, respect for the game, there maybe no one else out there at this time better equipped than henry and terry together.
  21. Henry as manager and Terry as his second, now I would accept that what the media is suggesting and think it would be the best move that our owners would make.
  22. I've said it before I dont want henry, not because i dont like him, not because hes french but because he has no experience. Then again where has experience got us bruce had tons of it and couldnt do the job so its abit screwed the situation is isn't it?? If we was to have a manager I would of rather had Terry but that ship has sailed hasn't it as Terry is taking up a position at Chelsea rite?? Even dwight Yorke has thrown his name in the hat, I would much rather go with dwight Yorke than henry, dwight has the love of fans, his career pretty much started with us till he left for man Utd. I dare say dwight could most likely do as good a job than Henry, but dwight has concerns that come with him I think, just keep that ex of his away from villa, can not stand that Katie price lol. I think so far out of them all, maybe Brandon Rodgers I think could bring the promotion we need. Media is reporting that Rodgers would give up Celtic and he has stated he has taken them as far as he can take them. Then says he would prefer a premier club but aston villa are a huge club so could maybe sway him. Whoever it is needs to be prepared for a tough challenge, to bring in some good attacking, fast paced football. Need someone who can get our players work rates back up, get the best out of them and not risk the defence. It certainly is a tough job and I don't envy the person taking the role as villa manager on, just good luck to him and hope he gets the club to where we should be. So many names coming out for the job, don't know which ones are or are not real, think the media is just throwing every Tom dick n Harry into the pool. Seems like real reporting is at an all time low and nobody goes and questions people anymore, this media rubbish just has someone changing a couple of sentences and rearranging words to make it look like there is new information, not good really.
  23. I think Bruce's mistake was bringing in players outside of our league, we needed players who have experience of playing in the efl, players who know how the teams play. I think we need someone who has experience in this arena and not a manager who is going to go shopping abroad for players who are not proven in the championship, it's a tough league as it is.
