  1. or Chester I have a feeling he will wipe his goal out by abit of stupidity. Edit/ Nyland nearly screwed it up then, not good.
  2. They keep putting those long balls in and I fear we will be caught by them eventually.
  3. We just not need to become too relaxed and get caught, keep that pressure on we must.
  4. Chester go on . Feel like Tammy was robbed, we was robbed that was a blatant penalty the refs are absoloute crap in the championship.
  5. I would like to add the most tickled player in the championship not fouled, too jack after 90+ fouls so far which is not even half a season, it really must be starting to feel like he's being tickled. Wonder if Jack ends up with a count of 200+ before season ends, that would be something and deserving of an award
  6. What we all have to remember is our team is still fresh in what Dean is getting them doing. Mistakes are going to happen, all while teams who were playing against have adopted whatever philosophy they are playing and have been doing it for a while now. There is also the fact Dean needs to bring in some more players to either sort out the keeper and defence situation and strengthen us. If it wasn't for Bruce messing up leaving us high n dry in the areas he did, we mite not be having such a tough time the past couple of games with letting as many in as we have done. I really am pissed at Bruce for the mess he's created and were still feeling it now and it's a shame because our team is really trying and it's undoing there hard work. Wait till we have some fresh faces in the positions we need them in, we will be tough to beat again. I think we will see some of those top 6 start to drop games and tire quickly next year, the question is can we capitalise on there tired teams and take the lead.
  7. I'd take this Aston Villa team over any from the year 2000 up till now, I don't think I've seen a villa side as impactful since Brian little,John Gregory,, Ron Atkinson days when I was a teenager in the 90s. Our demise was long and painful which has led us to the championship, I am surprised it took so long for us to be relegated. For well over a decade and half, through bad ownership, through bad management of the club and very good players, our beloved football club failed to deliver first class football that can compete on the highest level. We now have a chance to make a full comeback and be one of the top clubs again and we are very fortunate that we have two owners that seem to really care about our club and want villa back on top. Its just going to take time to deliver that kind on success again. The way i see it is one of those top premiere team is snagging one of our European spots up that we used to get each season, but we can make it happen again one day. Here to hoping we can claim the championship title, something I'd very much like to be able to say this season or next..
  8. If those rules come in at the end of this season, we truly need to go up now this season to take advantage of such a new system that would work to ours or whoever gets promoted from the championship. From the way it sounds though is that all this amazing talent being held onto will start to flow out down into the lower leagues, they will simply have to have somewhere to go. No point staying at a club if one your not getting any game time and two you can't even be loaned out anymore because the club hit it's max loan outs.
  9. Let's have them, Hope your paying attention our club, we must take advantage of this and make them ours, we have the coin.. Tammy and Ampadu yes for deffo, Loftus where would he fit in though, he would obviously be putting someone out. I feel as Tammy would be a replacement for kodjia anyway in the future, kodjia is 29 isn't he, few more years perhaps depending on how fit kodjia keeps himself possibly longer. Ampadu I'd say is a snap up straight away given we need some defence beside Hutton and Tuanzebe which brings me to Tuanzebe and wonder if we can snare him off of Manchester United.. I hope in these new rules that we would be allowed to sign these players even if there was no loan to buy agreement.
  10. This could certainly work in our favour, Chelsea do have a massive team and that's why I dint think Tammy or Odoi are not getting anywhere near the starting 11 or subs bench.. It means that teams won't be able to hold onto talent in big numbers all in hope of making money from them. A team the size of Chelsea will suffer down the line with these new rules and may as well sell a bunch of players to teams that will benifit having these players playing for them permanent rather than being loaned to them.
  11. If things were going horribly wrong (bruce style) I could understand the critism. However we are still in early days under DS, we have come far so fast, it's to early for people to be overly criticle. I personally did not expect to see the changes we have seen before our eyes this early on, I certainly didn't expect the possibility that we could contend for the championship and a chance at promotion. Steve Bruce had me thinking there was no light at the end of the tunnel for us to the point I felt very negative in everything that we did for some time. Dean Smith has changed so much but with having to make do with a team he inherited, damn I'll give credit where credits due and the coaching staff certainly deserve it. We all know full well where our troubles lie, I was willing to give nyland a fair chance but I just don't think he can handle it. Between our keeper and a couple of defenders not matching up, it's leaving our team open and tbey are exploiting that. Can Dean sort it out, of course and I'm confident he can with ease once he's given a transfer window, he knows what the team needs and he's most likely got his short list now. Playing attacking football, can always leave you open to counter attacks, the chance the opposition fights back and catches you off guard. I don't think theres ever a full proof plan, bring in some defenders and a new keeper and just keep on banging away and scoring those goal and things will work out all ok in the end. We're doing very well now compared to a season that at one point looked all but lost. So far Dean Smith is laughing it up, the only draw back is we should of got Dean in at the start of the season, we mite not be trailing in points if we had of done..
  12. Just have to offer Chelsea an impossible to not take deal. He's got years ahead of him, and I think that adds to his price as much as his scoring regular. I have just read that we could be seeing yet another striker on the way from Chelsea and Maurizio sarri is happy to let Callum Hudson-Odoi come to villa. The article also mentions it could be due to John Terry standing at Stamford bridge in how we mite be able to land the 18 year old forward in January. Would be quite the pairing Odoi+Abraham..
  13. I've just looked at Tammys twitter and it's no end of lovely messages for our club and players he's playing beside.. https://mobile.twitter.com/tammyabraham?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author I especially love the 2nd of October one where he says: well get to where we belong!! He sounds like he's already ours lol..
  14. Wouldn't we really get first dibs on his signature anyway been as he's already with us an weve already been doing business with chelsea over him. Think Tammy would know himself not to mess a move up to a club he's been firing goals in for after finding his goalscoring ways again. There is always that chance as well if he moved elsewhere it could all go to crap for him, its happened before to players. Tammy wants to play in the premier, no doubt about that, problem with that is Chelsea would sell him to a club only outside of the premiere. Chelsea have said no to Tottenham before on a potential sale of a player because it's too direct competition. I see the only way of securing Tammy would be if were in a good spot come transfer window before we go into the premiere. We have the funds anyway we could match any club out there really two owners worth around 7-9 billion says that, surely Chelsea would be licking there lips at that thought lol. The only thing I could see as a negative in a deal would be that damn FFP but I would seriously do all I could to get round it to sign him. I like your last paragraph, it's so true if we do get promoted he knows he has quickly become the man up front really and we love him. Tammy knows he's getting on fine at villa and he's back to scoring, he may indeed think to himself he's happy at our club and may not want to be put at the back of the line at chelsea again, it's going to happen if he goes back. I really can't see Tammy being in front of the players they have at chelsea now if he does go back. Then chelsea are no doubt going to want to bring one or two more worldclass strikers in i bet, heres hoping they do and they see us as a way to cash in on Tammy because we should go full steam ahead on that move. To think he was so reluctant to come to us and now look at him, he looks like the happiest player around that he made that move to us. I am hoping we get promoted, and the lad comes out and says he would like us to buy him. Imagine if we had of had him at last season's play off final, I think it would of been a very different scoreline against fullham, we didn't even have Mcginn.
  15. Simply Tammy fits in perfect in with us, our club would be crackers not to throw a crazy offer to Chelsea for him. I think he would stay, he does seem to enjoy it with us and he certainly would be an asset and a danger to any team. I hope Dean Smith and our owners have already discussed bringing him to villa park permanently. Apart from a better keeper to replace nyland and a few defenders I'd say Tammy is a priority to keep him with us. When I think of the likes of Grealish, Mcginn and Tammy on the same team I instantly see heaven between those 3 youngsters. I mite head over to the Chelsea forum see if I can get any answers from there fans on whether they think there club would sell him to us..
  16. The owners said they wanted young talent, if they got the cheque book out and were ready to splash would certainly show how serious they are about young players and Tammy. I think obtaining Tammy whatever the cost , he has the potential under Dean Smith to fire us into premiere. I don't think Chelsea are that serious about Tammy, he wouldn't be here if that was the case, Tammy needs proper football and he has it with us. Of course we have the funds for Tammy but it's whether the owners are ready to splash that serious kind of cash on him. They must be thinking it, especially since forest. It would be nice to hear from the owners to see if it's possible we could make a move for him, he would be our record all time signing would he not??? Of course you never know Chelsea mite always do a Manchester utd/sam johnstone to WBA, and be prepared to sell Tammy cheaper than what were thinking they would sell for.
  17. I agree with you in the fact that Mcginn is a big help to Jack. While I also agree with your Lolley comment, let's be honest Lolley isn't be targeted anywhere near as to what Jack is. Jack is being purposely aimed at every game, it's as if the players from other club's are saying if they take Grealish out permanent then villa arnt a team without him or we can't handle Jack so let's just foul the hell out of him. I don't know about you but it makes me fuming it does. Hope your rite in releasing the ball quicker but I doubt it's just that I think it's the championship teams playing a club like ours and for a while it's been hack and slash at jack. While we were under bruce we played that poorly often and boring that the only real glimmer of a skillful player to be seen by us was jack and i think that helped paint the target on his back.
  18. I'm sure if Dean expressed to everyone involved in the decision making that Tammy needs to be ours that our owners would throw whatever it takes to signing him, im sure at the rite price chelsea would sell him. 30, 40, 50 mill he is worth it and a future investment I see it, bring him to villa permanent, it would be wrong not to try.. If we don't sign him I reckon some club out of the premier will come in for him if we don't take him back on loan, we also seem to have a pretty decent relationship with Chelsea in terms of being able to secure players from them in loans, maybe that can also work to our advantage.
  19. well now we have a bunch of baggie fans reacting to Claudio yacobs tackle on Jack Grealish, this is the type of mentality going on now against our boy Jack which is complete wrong. I fear for Jack to be honest in the way that if players arnt getting done with what they are doing to Grealish. I do fear at some point something serious is bound to happen and someone comes in with a tackle on Jack and it's that severe he ends up with a broken leg or something. Players are getting away with complete red card offences and it makes me sick to see it happening, It needs to be stopped it does. How scared does it show the championship is of Jack that they have to result to these methods. By committing so many fouls is proof that they won't let him play to the best of his ability because if he does he will have them all over the place baffled as to what's just happened. Must be over a 100 now, it was high abit ago in how many fouls had been committed on Jack Grealish. Can't our club log a complaint to the EFL about the referees or something it needs sorting asap.. He deserves to be protected, it doesn't matter if he can take it or not and keeps getting back up, I applaud him for his strong will to carry on and shrug it off but he shouldn't have to deal with all this abuse. https://mobile.twitter.com/CTFJournalism/status/1067888237702721536
  20. Don't think I can disagree either, apart from Tuanzebe and Hutton in defence, goalie is spot on though. What I'd do for a Paul McGrath and Ugo Ehiogu next to Tuanzebe and Hutton rite now.. Is pretty funny that is lol.
  21. Depends doesnt it, if january Chelsea bring in someone else and it puts Tammy out even more, a move to us would be perfect sense. Not like we cant afford him, just a matter of if FFP can allow us to sign him. He fell so far out of favour at chelsea, not even on the bench, so i certainly think we could try and approach chelsea for Tammy. It's the kind of thing ive been saying for abit now, we need to navigate away from the loan market so we can sign our own players once more. It's tough when we get a loaner, they didn't play well for the club or fell out of favour, we take them in and they play ace under us, then for some reason or another we can't keep them in the end, it's a real damn shame. My Xmas wish list would be for Tammy as a perma villa player in January..
  22. Those stats yes your rite we should of won with ease but it's never plain sailing is it. I think we may have put ourselves on too much of a high from the derby, not enough time to relax and take a breather which has caused us to be picked apart as much as we did the picking apart. Don't get me wrong these things do happen and this season is crazy where no teams at the moment are running away with it. For me Dean has been a blessing, he has basically made our players play some sexy football for once, under bruce it was a bore fest. Not once under bruce were our lads firing from everywhere, it actually looks and feels like anyone of our players could go score now and feels like it's a question of whos scoring tonight, rather than is any one going score tonight. Here's hoping we can put Middlesbrough away and the top lot drop points in some way, it would be real sweet to head into January having closed the gap more..
  23. Had a good season last season but that's it, needs replacing asap, I would rather have a u23 in his place see how they fair. Can't keep this up every match is screwing us up big time, he and Taylor are letting the rest of the team down.
