  1. I just don't understand why so many clubs go with Zonal Marking. It makes no sense to me at all. If the other team are pushing two six foot plus players forward it only make sense to have specific players mark them.
  2. For me it's all about staying up. It gives you a Summer to build & invest. Going down means starting over. If Sam would take it on I would go for it, i think it may be too late for even the fat one to turn it around but I'd give it a go
  3. Not all JT's fault but surely as Smiths right hand man he has some responsibility
  4. When you have shipped more goals than any other club & you are part of the coaching team with "D" your speciality you have to accept some responsibility.
  5. To give John Terry the job would an admission that the club has given up. JT really hasn't shown much of anything so far. Assuming that he has some input into how the defence is set up then he has failed.
  6. Some sources saying it happened today. What a disaster he has turned out to be !! World at his feet & he has shat the bed.
  7. Fat Sam puts defence first & plans on a tie or a 1-0 win. This big push by clubs like Bournemouth, Brighton & Villa to play on the front foot is admirable but I'm a big believer in building a team from the back. I think Sam could have saved Villa if he had been given 15 games but its probably too late to make a change.
  8. Vardy is the last player you want wind up, he thrives on getting stick. Reina is way out of his depth in a battle of wits with Vardy.
  9. Mings alongside a seasoned pro like Jonny Evans or Gary Cahill would be top drawer. I feel he tries to do too much.
  10. I would imagine that Mings would create interest with a few Premier League clubs.
  11. Looking at Norwich's run in I really see very little chance of them surviving. They would really have to go on an amazing run to beat the drop. Their goal difference really hurts them as well.
  12. Make other clubs worry about Villa not the other way around.
  13. I've been thinking the same thing myself. They looked very good against Leicester & were 100% deserving of their win. So much of winning is about confidence & Watford & Norwich have it in spades right now.
  14. I get the feeling that the relegation run in is going to be crazy. Watford & Norwich on a high right now !!
  15. They certainly look like they could be beaten.
  16. 3 - 1 for Leicester. Vardy with a pair.
  17. Leicester have been struggling lately & Villa played really well against them in the League Cup. It could be a real nail biter.
  18. Results have shown that it's not over till its over. If Watford can beat Liverpool then anything is possible if a team wants to give it a go. Villa just need to give it a go & make it happen.
  19. Yes. If Zaha & Richarlson are 80m then Jack is easily that. My hope is that you guys can stay up & he doesn't need to go anywhere. Spurs aint spending the money needed to get him
  20. The big boys would pay up for Jack. Anyone watching football knows that he is a true talent with age on his side.
  21. I believe Sheffield Wednesday got charged for declaring the sale of their ground to their owner the wrong year. I have no idea about Derby, but let's be honest. Who actually understands FPP ??
  22. I disagree. If we are ever going to get rid of this disgusting behaviour of feigning an injury to get another player yellow carded then it needs to come from the players & if public embarrassment is what it takes, so be it. The response that "all the other kids do it" is what I expect from my six year old grandchild.
  23. If he was playing behind a solid mid-field alongside a quality CB I don't think you would see as many mistakes. He has too much to do some games. As to him giving stick to other players, I'm just fine with that. It shows he cares. If Villa can't avoid the drop I think you will see a few Prem teams interested in him.
  24. For me it's down to West Ham, Bournemouth, Watford & Villa to join Norwich . I can't see Newcastle not getting 6-8 points from their next 11 games leaving them around the 38 point mark. Same with Brighton, 9 points from 11 games puts them at 37. West Ham & Watford appear to have slightly better run ins but any team from that four that kicks in and puts a few wins together can be safe.
