The fact that Drinkwater didn't make the bench for Sheffield leads me to believe that he will be returned to Chelsea at the end of the month.

He has a year left on his Chelsea contract I think & I can't see any team wanting his contract on their payroll. I feels career is very close to being done. Its a damn shame because he could play at a high level at one point.

Leicester were looking for short term coverage when they loaned Bennet so I feel he will be available when the Summer market eventually opens. I think he would be a good purchase for you.

Mahrez did struggle to adapt to English footballs as so many overseas players do. He was not very interested in the defensive side of the game and needed a dedicated defender behind him.

He was decent. Very Good in the penalties but Magnificent is pushing it. He has a 6.35 rating this season so far & Tom Heaton was at 6.57 ! He has let in quite a few easy goals due to lack of concentration. Dean Henderson has been a far superior keeper (6.75) this season & should be starting for England based on performance.

Pickford is extremely suspect. He has a f**k up in him that can surface when least expected. He wouldn't make my England team at all !

I agree 100% Empty stadiums will favour the team that plays the best football for the most part. Less travel and stadium familiarity will help the home team a little but it will come down to skill and desire. I agree that the lockdown has favoured Villa.

I agree with you 100% !! Having said that it requires solid scouting to pick the right prospects to ease in to the team. By the way, Justin can play left or right back & will almost certainly fill in for right back Pereira who is out with knee ligament damage.

I think there are some gems to be found in the Championship & what I like them is that they are used to English football. They are used to the physicality and used to playing on a cold wet windy night in November.

I realize that managers have their favourite formations but I always felt that initially the formation should be based on the players you possess. Then bring in the right players to play the formation you favour. Too many managers stubbornly force a system onto a team that don't have the capability of playing it.

My understanding is that they can be registered but both are still injured and unlikely to be fit in time. Hopefully the 5 sub rule will allow some academy players a run out !

He is not getting a lot of game time this season and I have wondered if he might return home to Villa to finish his career. He has made no secret of how upset he was to leave the club that he loved. At 30 yrs old he still has lots of football left in him. -
