    It's so hard to know how well DD will do because he's played so little competitive football over the last two to three years.I watched him a lot when he played for Leicester & he was very good. I hope he gets it together & produces for Villa.

    Apparently I was wrong. Premier league clubs are only allowed to have two loans at any time and only one from any club. So that takes Giroud & Batshuayi out of the picture for a loan move to Villa. - Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

    My understanding is that you can only loan one player from each club, so no more loans from Chelsea but can loan from any other prem team

    My drop zone starts with Newcastle at 13th. I think Brighton & Wet Spam can distance themselves from the pack but two wins or two losses can quickly change things for the bottom eight.

    There are 6 or 8 Leicester players who live in London & are picked up at the train station by the club on training days.

    Most bona fide footballing superstars are not looking for a relegation battle. It makes the January window even more difficult when prospective players know they could be relegated. I see two or three loan moves till the end of the season as the answer. I realize it is not building for the future but its all about survival now.

    He was very good at Leicester playing alongside Kante but what kind of player he is now is hard to know. He has played so little that Villa won't even have a scouting report on him.

    Not too sure about that but I don't see why Mitrovic would accept a transfer anywhere till the end of the season unless it was to a top club. He has a chance at promotion with Fulham & if they don't make it he gets to pick & choose. Apparently he loves living in West London !

    Giroud in my mind is not the answer to the problem. He never was fast but has slowed down in the last year. He is a a target man for wingers to get he ball into & I'm not sure that is the answer.

    The club is now in a very difficult position in the January transfer window. Any player coming in will know its a relegation battle & will want a clause in case the worst happens. The selling club will want a high price knowing that Villa are desperate. It does look like the loan market could be the best bet but will only defer the problem until the Summer unless the loan has an option to buy.
