I think I've developed a soft spot for Hutton, he really does seem to try his hardest for Aston Villa everytime he plays, just a shame he isn't very good.

A bad run of results is likely for most teams in this division, we might've already had our bad run already beginning of the season.

Reject it because we don't need to sell, great signs. Even if he isn't worth that much it makes a change for us not to sell our players to teams above us. Who cares how much he is really worth, we don't need to sell so we haven't, brilliant news.

I think a lot of the "dross" teams probably raise their performance against a team like Villa, perhaps that's why it hasn't looked so comfortable. But a wins a win, and Bruce is getting us back to a mentality where we don't lose or concede ridiculous goals or late on. Remember how depressing it was before Bruce came in. Play offs is very possible.

Just annoys me that everyone is blowing up Newscastles achievements so far this season, and not Brighton's who are the better team. I think Newcastle will struggle to get 88 points, and so will Brighton and come the end of the season Villa will be a lot closer to both Newcastle and Brighton then we think currently. Such a long season and it's going to twist and turn, personally for me, the wheels are going to fall off the Newcastle promotion push and they might even have to be content with a playoff spot.

Think too many people expect Aston Villa to steam roll teams with a lesser reputation. Burton Albion are in the championship on merit, Aston Villa are in the championship on merit. We will not walk over any teams this season. But for me Bruce is doing brilliantly well with a truly awful midfield.

Let him get his own players in first, think he's done a pretty good job so far.

9 goals in 49 games isn't too bad considering how awful we have been for 40 of those games.
