  1. Haha we had 3 first choice keepers in the end too
  2. Let’s try keep the nucleus of the team with few good additions and then sign one or two top top players, like when Man City signed Robinho, he was bought as a statement of intent by their owners at the time, I think we could flex our financial muscles and do the same and show the rest of the league we are back and back with intent. If that means we have to spend £150m upwards this summer to keep the squad and one marquee signing so be it, top teams will be spending that on one player in the next 5 years.
  3. I have a suspicion all 3 of these players will find themselves plying their trade in league 1 for majority of their careers.
  4. Testimonials are for players who serve ten years at one club I believe.
  5. Seriously under rated player by so many on here.
  6. Don’t think he will read this bit if he does read forums, just want to say, thank you I’ve enjoyed your time as a Villian, good luck for the future.
  7. Has he gone? Have to say this is the biggest disappointment for me as a Villa fan, I had always wanted Villa to sign him when he was breaking through the Man City team, he seems exciting, strong and pacey. So when we signed him I was pretty happy, safe to say it’s been more disappointing then Curcic, losing Yorke, Barry, Young, Milner, Delph, Benteke or Nilis breaking his leg. Hmmm actually maybe not that disappointing, but still pretty crap.
  8. Exciting summer, and I might actually watch match of the day this September, be the first time in about 8 years!

    The NSWE Board

Or convert the rest of Birmingham to support the best team in the second City.
  10. On the evidence he hasn’t stopped partying yet I assumed he was enjoying more then just booze.
  11. Terry will stay for another season or two, he clearly feels he still has a lot more to learn and seems to be someone who wants to have earned their stripes before jumping into a more glamorous role. Fair play to him. Also in that interview with Smith and Purslow Smith mentions how JT lifts his spirits after the Wigan game, JT’s influence has gone way beyond just coaching the defence. Long may it continue.
  12. Ahh the good old atomic strike days... sign all the jordans! Nostalgic times. Tho that said is there a highlight video of the actual real atomic hammers (Hitzlesperger) goals....
  13. Agree a lot of higher quality players need to be signed for us to compete.
  14. I’m so out of the loop of whose a good and exciting player to sign, just so many names I’ve never heard of. I'm beginning to think there’s more professional footballers then there was 20 years ago.
  15. Hey The Amex is a good stadium! Can’t use that as an example surely!
  16. I wouldn’t say Wolves are established, it’s only been one season!
  17. Bournemouth, Burnley, sure, but Brighton are a very attractive offer, state of the art stadium and training facilities, and buzzing city, London by the sea if you will, I think Brighton are going to be a prem team for some time to come.
  18. Well if you are feeling overly generous sure, but if we had someone more competent then Xia buy the club we wouldn’t have Eden and Sawiris now, so swings and roundabouts and all that.
  19. Without his failures we wouldn’t have a future as bright as we do now.
  20. I think Hourihane will start tomorrow and whelan will come on go replace him if we are in the lead in the last 20 minutes.
  21. No way he would surpass Milner. He is good but Milner is on another level.
