  1. This might be stupid of me but why would we go to The Belfry to work on deals?
  2. Just think Hogan would be a better finisher.
  3. Lansbury and Whelan out...or forgotten man Tshibola out?
  4. The flip side of this I feel is that if Hogan had got into Tammys positions Hogan would not miss as many of the easier chances, but probably would miss the harder ones Tammy puts away, granted that’s all hypothetical in my mind and it actual real life haha.
  5. I’m tempted to say it’s the Villa Effect, we seem to make seemingly good players rubbish.
  6. Sad for Hogan it didn’t work out, agree with @pintpotvilla tho that Hogan when he first signed looked vibrant and dangerous and was often left frustrated by his team mates not spotting the pass. However it’s time for him to move on and start fresh some where else instead of rotting in the reserves.
  7. Course we can, we can afford to buy Man City club twice over if we wanted too, we just can’t becuase of the FFP rules, of which our very own Purslow help to create, so he will know exactly how the circumnavigate around it without pushing the boundaries so that it’s obviously to other clubs, it’s probably the number one reason why our owners chose to hire him. And then there is the money saved on Bolasies wages and negotiation with Chelsea over paying a percentage of wage etc.
  8. Although the idea and plan of having a squad full of young talented hungry players I think is the dream, to dismiss loan signings of players who have played at the top level who can still perform is insane! The club can afford it and if it improves the squad then I am all for it.
  9. Personally I wouldn’t put Brighton in that category, Brighton have an excellent recruitment system, they just signed some lad called Mac Allister, but he will stay on loan at his current club until next season, they have been planning their signings ahead since the days of Gus Poyet being in charge, they have poached one of the FA’s top dogs, Houghton is a good coach who has been there awhile now, the chairman is a Brighton fan, honestly think Brighton are a great model to follow, they have a real togetherness from top to bottom.
  10. That’s quite interesting, wonder what Brighton and Huddersfield’s transfer ins and outs were like before promotion, don’t really recall them selling many big names, think Ulloa went for 7 million off top of my head.
  11. Nyland was starting to look decent but still feared the worst whenever he came to catch a cross.
  12. Wow you really do have it in for Dean Smith?
  13. One man against 7 millions citizens is a tough task for anyone.
  14. This is what I thought might be the case, thanks for clarifying. I shall await with baited breathe the non signing suggestions of players people hope we sign instead of hoping for actual verified links.
  15. Are we going to sign anyone before the deadline other then Kalinic and Haus?
  16. Christ that was a truly awful first team? Bar Benteke I think our current team is better. Lambert really was hung out to dry by Lerner, I know many disagree but Lambert did pretty well with what he had.
  17. Having the new Keegan would be so much fun!
  18. Deans got to get the rockets out at half time and get these players to actually care.
