  1. Regarding Lerner, I heard somewhere his finances were hampered due to his divorce. I am not sure how factual that is.
  2. I will add another one, N 'Zogbia. I was so disappointed we brought him in. He caused petty problems with his previous clubs, and he never seemed serious about being a professional footballer. Utter wasteman.
  3. Join what exactly? The Mormon Tabernacle Choir? Scientology? The Bender boys down at the Bull Ring for a bit of clothes shopping? I won't believe anything until I hear it on that reliable source Villareport.
  4. Yep, I agree. Lambert was fighting Tyson while Lerner was holding his arms behind his back. My point was about being wary of one club wonders. In comparison though, Lambert was doing well at a struggling club ( Norwich, not Villa) in the Premier League, while Gerrard has a bit more of a stroll in a two bob league with only two teams in it. After Villa though, Lambert never really got his mojo back.
  5. From what I have been reading, alot of the weight in the decision to sign Gerrard seems to be based on Purslow's relationship with him. If Purslow is going to provide jobs for his mates at the expense of the club, then he can f*** right off. I am not sold on Gerrard. Sure, he is doing well with Rangers, but so was Lambert with Norwich, and that turned out well. There are better candidates out there, and as @useless says, I hope it is just a smokescreen. If we sign Gerrard, I am not confident it will end well. If it doesn't, Purslow's head should be rolling before Gerrard's has hit the floor.
  6. I think he would do well, but it does seem unlikely. I remember him turning Brisbane into Roarcelona, and after he left, they became more like Brisbane Pubs United. It shows the effect of not just having a good manager, but what happens when a good manager leaves.

    Dean Smith

I love Dean Smith, and I really wanted him to be the one who takes us forward. However, no manager could survive those 5 losses, no matter who they are. I believe the board has made the right decision though. So who is going to be our Remi Garde?

    The note

2015/16 called. They want their season back.
  9. If I was a rich man, I would first make enquiries whether I could buy a rickshaw in Birmingham. If not, I will call up a workshop and ask if they could build one for me. I would then fly to London, take a cab to Birmingham, pick up my rickshaw, and go to Bodymoor with a big net. I would then load Tuanzebe into my rickshaw, and tow the **** back to Manchester myself.
  10. Oh, you guys. Are we really haggling over which piece of poo is the smelliest? The correct answer is they all stink.
  11. At least he isn't playing Swansea with Guzan in goal.
  12. I love the guy, he has already done so much for the club during his time with us. Having said that, we really need to get out of this rut, and Southampton is the test to see if Smithy can do that. I am enjoying the stability he brings us, and I don't want to see us becoming a Watford. If he can't turn this rut into a blip though, the powers above will probably have no choice. Even with a new manager, there is no guarantee of how their tenure will turn out. It will be a gamble. The four losses, they were tough games, but the team could and should perform better than that, and his decision making, especially for the Wolves game, should have been better. It all just comes down to how much patience is left in the tank.

    Managers

She needs new glasses. It says mangier.
  14. Unsexy. Although, we tend to get bent over whenever we use it, and in the Wolves case, from behind.
  15. The children's cereal for all their ADD needs. Now with ritalin berries!
  16. I have made Antonio my captain for FPL, so.... nailed on Villa win and clean sheet.
  17. No doubt about it, that is a fantastic goal, and is perfect for contradicting my opinion. However, this is not what I watched most games he played, and I would get frustrated with him, but I would support him regardless. I just never held him as high regard as alot of other people do.
  18. I knew I was going to cop it for this. I honestly didn't rate him. I found him quite frustrating to watch. I thought he was a tap in merchant that never worked for his goals, and at the beginning of his last season with us when he was out injured, I thought we played better without him. Whenever there were calls on here wanting to " bring Benteke home", I really hoped that it wouldn't happen. Unpopular opinion I know, but that is where I stand, even if I am a bit lonely there.
  19. Probably because it is a general examination or training room. Very rarely do hospitals or clinics have a whole room dedicated to turning people into hand puppets. As for the guy, he only stopped by to top up the drink machine, and thought he would have a crack at it.
