    I’ve never really paid much attention to the global rankings, but I see this week I moved up 300k places! From 766k to 466k. Like you say fine margins make a huge difference.

    I used my wildcard last week to bring in some big hitters. I thought I’d wasted it after the Villa game was postponed, as I’ve got a very cheap bench that rarely feature. Ended up with 83 points this GW though so can’t complain, and with the Villa lads back for Wolves, I think I’ve got a decent team now. It’s valued at £102.1m so it’s not gone down in value.

    Will ad blockers work for iPhones? I mostly tend to watch videos on my phone. You’re right about the ads in the middle though, especially if I’m listening to music.

    It’s true. You don’t see adverts like the old Carling Black Label ones, anymore. The squirrel one comes to mind as does the German tourist one... though that one is a brexiteers dream, it was still funny at the time.

    Same here. Along with such phrases and words as ‘gi’or’ instead of ‘stop it’, ‘ginnel’ instead of ‘alleyway’, ‘sen’ instead of ‘self’ and the complete lack of respect or acknowledgement for the letter ‘H’. I’m quite used to it now and I’ve even stopped taking the mickey out of them, mostly.

    I never watch live TV, but I watch a lot of YouTube videos which are now littered with them, unless you sign up to premium, which I’m not. Netflix and Prime are okay but then there’s the odd thing on catch up that we’ll watch, then you really pay the price for it.

    Since we’re talking adverts, ALL adverts piss me off. I can’t stand them, it would have to be an amazingly good programme for me to watch anything on ITV Hub and the like. They don’t even seem to make any funny ones like they used to. It’s just the same repetitive crap on an endless repeating cycle until you either mute it, switch it off, or tear your own eyes and ears out with a rusty claw hammer.

    After fielding a squad with six players that didn’t play this week, I’ve still managed to pick up 75 points with one more to play tomorrow. Captaining Salah instead of Kane paid off nicely.

    The latest round of Covid results are back at the care home my wife works at... four residents positive and four staff. They’re already understaffed and struggling, this is going to be a nightmare to manage. The likely source of infection is either from one resident that had been in hospital last week, she was tested on release and has since passed away. Or it’s come in from staff members not taking it seriously. They’ve got their fair share of Facebook conspiracy believing idiots there and I’d not be surprised to know that some don’t think Covid is real.
