    So Trez is out for a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury. He’ll be a big miss for us over Christmas. Time for Traoré and El Ghazi to step up and show some consistent form now. We’re going to need our squad players more than we would have hoped.

    Yeah I had that issue. Quick search online on the Prime forum and there were hundreds of people complaining about the same thing. Seems Amazon haven’t quite nailed the whole streaming live football thing yet. They’ll need to sort it if they expect to keep people interested.

    I was quietly impressed with Amazon’s coverage last season. I haven’t watched any of this season’s yet, saving that for tomorrow, but it’s a welcome break from Sky and I’d like to see them get more matches in future.

    Just checked, it’s Craig Pawson. This is the first game he’s reffed for us this season. I know that because I know him, and I’ve helped him out with something at work this week. So I hope he remembers that and repays the favour!

    We should win, but football’s never that simple. Burnley have been cack but their recent results have picked up. They’ve beaten Arsenal and Palace, and drew with Everton and Brighton in the last five games. They got a standard 5-0 thrashing from citeh though in between. It won’t be an easy game, but if we focus and take our chances, we should get the points. It’s always a big if though with Villa.

    Based on his prediction, I’m inclined to say yes. But then he’s got a job that earns money, so it’s doubtful.

    The new sky sports prediction pundit, ‘Jones knows’ (whoever that is), predicts Burnley to win 0-1. He cites Ben Mee as the reason why, heaping praise on how good Burnley have been since he returned. Let’s hope that’s all bollocks and we win 3-0, with Mee getting sent off.

    I don’t think we should be ripping up the team just to replace two players. I’d keep it simple and bring Elmo and Nakamba in for Doug and Cash. Then the other 9 players can stay as they are, confident that they know their roles and those of the players around them. Our approach and way of playing has largely worked for us, introducing radical change now could be too disruptive.

    Not a bad week with 64 points, moved up a couple of places in the VT league. The average point score was apparently 18 for this GW. But I’m a bit confused about the highest points total, it says 72, but I can see people have scored 76. Is that because the FPL don’t count triple captains and bench boosts?

    At least we don’t have to wait long for this one. The gaps between the last few days have felt like an eternity. I know Burnley beat Arsenal yesterday, but so did we, and so did Wolves. Even without Cash and Douglas-Luiz, I’m still feeling confident. I’m predicting a win, 2-1 Villa and Watkins to get back on the score sheet.

    Unfortunately not, Burnley is and the Chelsea game after Christmas. The Albion game is on BT and the Palace game on Boxing Day is on the BBC, which is nice.

    We’ve got three winnable games coming up now in Burnley, Albion and Palace. Gutted to be losing Douglas-Luiz and Cash for Burnley, but we’re still capable of winning the points. The rest they both get will hopefully benefit us over the Christmas period. We’re covered at RB with Elmo and Guilbert, and we can bring Nakamba in for DL. It’ll be nice to watch us on Prime instead of the sometimes terrible ‘alternative’ sources.

    I thought he played well. Scored a load of booking points and won two red cards. Nice penalty at the end for dramatic effect.

    Still don’t know why Cash was booked. We will miss him against Burnley on Wednesday.

    The ball sticks to him at times like shit sticks to a shiny shovel. I’ll judge him properly at the end of the season. But I hope he finds his mojo soon.
