  1. Looking at Predictor and assuming Blackburn down and leaving it between us and QPR for 18th spot, if we lost to Spuds but QPR also lost to Stoke we could be looking at 3 point gap plus a ridiculous goal difference seperating us before the last game even kicks off.
  2. I think we'll maybe manage 2 points in the next 3 games. Where does that leave us? We absolutely battered Bolton first half on Tuesday, but the trouble is because we couldn't score, youngsters just haven't built up the levels of stamina that comes with maturity to play 90 mins week in week out...which is why we're flagging and looking poor most second halfs. I think your being extremely optimistic. Baggies will be gunning to put a nail in our coffin. I can't see anything but a loss against Spurs and then we have to go to Norwich on the last day and possibly require a win to stay up.
  3. I can't see us getting another point. The team is a complete and utter shambles. I hope I'm proved wrong. Doing the predictor based on the above, I have QPR beating Stoke at home which means if Wigan beat Wolves at home on the last day we are gone biscuits.
  4. Yawn......not another example of JF hogging bigging himself up. Really? Is that necessary?
  5. Stu, you are absolutely spot on If a used car manager paid over the odds for his stock he would be told in no uncertain terms you bought em you sell em. In my view he knew he had bought shite, done an oliver twist and was told no ... he then walked.... if thats contructive dismissal I'm a monkeys uncle. He was brought to book and he didn't like it. I thought the above is obvious. How can anyone spin it any other way. FFS with the new rules coming in something had to be done.
  6. 7-1 against Chelsea was not a freak result. MON insisted on playing the same 11 all season even though every Villa fan knew that Petrov would be blowing out his arse after 60mins let alone the whole Chelsea team did and exploited it.
  7. ^^^ This! He's not wilfully negligent as some seem to make out.
  8. Done BBC predictor and have Blackburn on 34 and QPR on 32 Wolves 25 :-? Still feel very unsafe. Went for draws against WBA, Spurs and a win against Norwich. Rest are losses to leave us on 40 points with Bolton 39 Wigan 37... So that has us losing to Sunderland and Bolton but surely, surely, surely, a loss to Sunderland and McLeish has to get the chop.
  9. I doubt it . I enjoyed the Brad Pitt film "seven" even though I hadn't seen 1-6. I don't know, I've seen 'seven' but I missed 'eight' and then 'eight and a half' just made no sense at all. A sequel was planned Ei8ht Despite offering up an ending that didn't exactly scream for a follow-up, execs were desperate to repeat the success of the grim serial killer flick. Even director David Fincher said "I'd have less interest in that than I would in having cigarettes put out in my eyes." The original idea was to turn a script called Solace into the Seven sequel. It would have given Morgan Freeman's character clairvoyant abilities. That script is now going forward with Anthony Hopkins in the lead, unrelated to Seven.
  10. What's frightening is you could have sold Gabby and got Papiss Cisse and a chunk of change leftover(if you believe inflated estimates of Gabby's worth). Actually scratch that. There's not a club out there that would pay a reasonable sum for Gabby as his limitations are stark and other clubs are not bound by misplaced sentimentality.
  11. Not been a big fan of his ability but never questioned his loyalty and commitment. Shocked and saddened by the news and all the times he was my fall guy for a bad result evaporates in perspective of his health and future over an insignificant game of sport.
  12. Ron Paul is a Libertarian and all Libertarians are Grade A cnuts. I really don't get the young, middle class love-in for Ron Paul.
  13. the afct of the matter is it the record books will say houllier finished 9th No the facts are that Houllier was manager for 28 league games. The other 10 league games we were caretaker managed for 5 of them by KMac before Houllier arrived where we took 7 points and for the other 5 the caretaker manager was GMac. Under KMac we took 7 points at 1.4 points a game, GMac 8 points at 1.6 points a game and under Houllier 33 points at 1.17 point a game. The facts will show that in 2010/11 before Houllier arrived we took more points per game and after he was taken ill we took more points per game. You can't give Houllier credit for the 15 points we took in the 10 games he wasn't involved in. For **** sake for half them games and half them points he wasn't even employed by the club. The bottom line in all this though is that Lerner and Faulkner have made two monumental managerial **** ups on the bounce and we are quite remarkably no better off after getting rid of Houllier. Lets not kid ourselves that just because McLeish has been poor it should excuse the fact that we were also just as poor under Houllier. I actually thought we'd struggle to do as badly as we did under the French clown and then dumb and dumber pull McLeish out of the hat. Would I trust them when we come to appoint our next manager. Would I ****. That's so **** wrong I can't believe you're even trying to use this as facts against GH. First of mall you neglect the fact that Houllier never had a pre season. But that's quite logical with the rest of your statements as you seem to think that it doesn't matter that much to get a good pre season as you seem to think that Gmac didn't have any benefit from being the caretaker of Houlliers squad. Do you think Gmac came in and said "Well boys, now the old man is gone for a while we're gonna do it in a very different way. Forget everything he's said about tactics, now I'm the one who rules. We're gonna play my way, and it's very different to his way."? Of course he didn't. Yeah, we had some gutless games under Houllier, no doubt about that. The difference between Houllier and AML, except for the style of playing, is that we could see lots of improvement the longer the last season went, whilst this one doesn't show much of that. After Bent arrived we were one of the top 6 teams in gaining points, IIRC. I for one wished he could've carried on as I thought we'd get better again under him. Now we'll never know, and that's a fact. That's the problem when people try to beat you over the head with statistics taken out of context. I could prove that MON was the worst manager in the history of football based on games lost ifrom winning positions before the other team had a man sent off, when in actual fact he was just a overhyped cnu7 that won nothing
  14. Kiwi chick singing but as usual Aussie try to claim Claim what? Kimbra just like Crowded House, Pavlova, et al
  15. If any Gabby fans pretended for a minute that they were fans of another team then they should realise he's not worth that much money for several obvious reasons.

  17. He's surviving on the luxury of us being poor for some time. That does not make him good. Our team has literally been built to accommodate him playing for a season and a half and that is one of our main problems IMO
  18. Thats the biggest pile of horse shit ive read on here in ages. Bollocks. He is spot on. Worst captain in my 18 years supporting Villa. One of the most overrated players by some as well.
  19. What about the greatest line in music EVER! "Do you want sugar? One lump or two?" Def Leppard Pour some Sugar on me. Surely an important question for a life time together.
  20. Lol, that's my ex's team. They had a good run last year after promotion but are bottom of the table now. Last season he finished second highest scorer(22) in Bundesliga behind Mario Gomez.
