  1. Who do you suggest takes over, simple question , I know it ain't your job but coming on here chatting shit ain't either
  2. No he ain't, check his stats , he was sacked from nearly every job he has had.....next
  3. I would have as well, tbh with JG the fickle wnkr , in this squad with another decent midfielder I would have looked at top 6 with real confidence maybe even higher. Basically none of the Smith out brigade have a clue who they want to replace him with they just want the disruption losing him would offer us .........no thanks , idiots.
  4. Not to me , I guessed 15th this season without JG the fickle wnkr.
  5. Who is available? Considering the owners don't seem to have a magical manager making machine
  6. It's not purely his playing ability it's the confidence it gives the other players that we have lost. Even as a fan I feel the effect of him leaving to pretend it's just his playing ability we have lost is niave and I'm pretty sure that fact hasn't been lost on our current owners ( the fact they threw the wage structure in the air to get him to stay tells you that) We was short of something last year, for me it was a midfield , but even if that wasn't the issue there was short comming especially when 'he' was out. Changing the manager isn't going to solve our problems, it's going to compound them..... if it's not a carefully planned and implemented move. Fair enough, if you want Smith gone then who we gonna appoint?
  7. People want Smith out ....none of them have a decent replacement in mind other than a bunch of chancers, failed managers who have fancy names or new managers that have no experience in management but seem like , nice blokes , strong leaders , or natural born winners....... We have lost arguably the best player we have ever had and replaced him with two right wingers and a striker in, a rush. Let's have some faith and see if Smith can turn this around , it's gonna be a close call but he deserves the chance under the circumstances and taking the other options into consideration. If we stay calm and give him and the team a chance we can pull through this. If we painic and throw it all in the air we risk starting a 5 year relegation promotion cycle with no guarantee of another pair of sugar daddies coming in to bail us out, like the last time. For me it's Smith or bust so we may as well get behind him and the team and try and pull this around UTV and FG the fickle wnkr.
  8. No matter who was in charge we are not going to compete with a midfield that is championship level at best. It was clear last season and it was clear from the start of this that it was an area of weakness. That's why we are losing games. Not sure what the answer is but the calls for Terry and Lampard type mangers are well wide of the mark. Done it before and after a few losses the pressure overwhelmes them and they become useless. We would be better off with , and it hurts me to say it. Big Sam. Who has the pescence and experience to calm the sinking ship we have become. It's a sad day.
  9. And me, will watch it in the morning. Can see Canelo winning, Plant is very open in defence, looks vulnerable to an uppercut to me. Watched an AJ interview on YouTube and the rematch has started to be intriguing, still feel like he will be to cage and try and out box him but maybe just maybe he will go into to put it all on the line. Boxing is great at the moment , love to see Joe Joyce get a shot at a title , maybe Wilder v Joyce or Whyte then the winner of AJ's fight fights the winner of that one.
  10. Defending the mess they are making is not a good move when they are indefensible , Oil companies getting UK tax rebate
  11. You are joking? They have destroyed our rivers with sewerage being pumped into them , ruined our coastlines with the same sewerage companies getting a free ride. Why bother with treatment plants and expensive chemicals when we can just pump it straight into our natural ecosystems. It's a complete and utter disaster with little press coverage. See here for the river Wyes destruction, heart breaking
  12. Let's see how Spurs do with a new manager , as for Jack sulking, so what he's sulking now at city. Saha , Philips , Rice and countless other players learn to deal with ambitious clubs who hold onto their biggest assets when they have their heads turned. You don't build anything letting your best players go, we have seen it all before. School boy error with the buy out clause. Let's see who was right at the end of this season.
  13. Kane stayed and countless other players have stuck with "lesser" teams when the big boys have come sniffing. The sell clause was our downfall and whoever allowed it to be written into the contract is to blame. He was still on a long contract so giving him a sell out clause was a big mistake .
  14. Watched Dune 2021 yesterday, I like it , I like it alot . 9 out of 10 for me.
  15. If we sack Smith and don't replace him with a real top class manager that demands respect from these players then we will definitely go down.
  16. You don't buy a 29 year old England striker with the thought of sitting on the bench, Watkins is fundamental to our high press game. The purchase of ings was strange to say the least, it forces us to play 2 strikers up front which leaves 2 of Bailey, Bert and Buendía on the bench. If it was a young striker with potential I could understand the logic of buying another striker, Ings .....doesn't and never did make sense. Unless Watkins had other options ...
  17. I'm not sure many of us did fail to see it. Plenty on here noticed our poor ability off the ball well before the recent run of form. The simple truth is there is no quick and easy answer to drag us out of it but we need to start somewhere and a new coach ( picked from those that are available) is not the easy answer many seem to think it is. Basically we have a squad and coaching staff and we need to find answers within those confines. We need to stop leaking so many goals even if it still means losing , we shouldn't be losing by such large margins and so easily. My answer would be to stop playing 3 up top and bolster our defence in the middle of the park.
  18. I see your point but I can't see who could come in and turn this around other than Smith. We have been here before with him and he managed to pull us out of it and I'm sure he can again. Question still need to be answered though as the players we have brought in the summer do not seem to have improved our first team squad enough to warrant the outlay. Bailey has promise and fills the gap left by Jack, I can see the logic in that. Ings is a problem to fit in the first 11 and keep our shape and Buendia doesn't seem to be that much better than Bert. Plenty of us have picked out the midfield as an area for improvement but Dean seems to not agree. Yet Ramsey , a relatively unproven youth player, is in the starting 11. ( He's not a bad player) There's examples all over the pitch where we could have improved with relatively small outlay but we haven't, Young is another example of weakness in the squad that should have been addressed.
  19. I agree with most of what you're saying but JT would definitely not be the answer. He hasn't got the experience and would basically fall apart after a couple more losses. Smith can turn this around but he needs to start again and go back to basics. Let's get more in the midfield and try and stop teams playing to try and stop the losses. We can build the creative part of the game from a solid base and we have the players to come off the bench to do that late in games, at least games that we have managed to stay in.
  20. The parallels with the Leicester game and Sherwood are frightening ( no hand waving though tf) Smith's denial is the worrying factor for me , it's not going to make us better or harder to beat .
  21. I didn't get the recruitment either tbh, Ings was very strange, if we had brought a younger player I could have seen it but his age and quality was always going to force us into playing him. Bailey I can sort of get as far as a Grealish replacement but he was never going to be as good not straight away anyway.
  22. We need to find a different answer from the squad we have. Maybe it's time for a youngster to get the nod or Samson. We can't continue to not compete in games , we looked like we lacked courage to fight until the perceived injustice sparked us into life. It's not good enough.
