Exactly how I felt when I was there for the last semi-final. Due the Villa fans being split across one half of the stadium the chants came in waves which essentially made it sound like a bunch of mumbling instead of coherent chanting throughout.

If Luke Shaw cost them £32mil and unknown's like Herrera at the time around £25mil then Benteke has got to be worth at least £35mil+ We sold Ashley Young pretty cheaply to them a few years ago, if they seriously want Benteke we should ask a lot more. Herrera was far from unknown but in terms of the prices quoted I agree.

Do you not think for one second amongst the countless frustrating periods of poor form, 70 + goals all from open play in the premier league, countless derby winners and memorable performances, winners at places like Old Trafford and Anfield down the years in rare away wins there and the feeling yes he is one of us means people will feel a little more emotional attached to him than 90% of our squad given most players come and go. Just looking at the countless forwards we've had in the last 10 years, some of these I've even forgot played for us, Harewood, Sutton, Baros, Allback, Heskey etc, these are players you forget about once they go as they were effectively passing through the club. Even long after he's retired I'll still fondly remember some of the moments Gabby produced for this club so yes I'm not defending his frequent bouts of poor form but that's why he gets a bit more leeway from the fanbase on occasions.

We need to show Liverpool absolutely no respect whatsoever. Be wary of course of their attacking qualities but also remember that their defence is fragile and we are the ones with the in form striker. Liverpool are not a scary proposition.

The only reason I can see for selling Westwood is if he doesn't fit into any of the midfield roles that Sherwood intends to play. I don't think he plays the role that Delph or Sanchez do particularly well but I think he could play the role that Cleverley does in Sherwood's diamond formation given the chance. With Cleverley's future up in the air we definitely need Westwood around next season.

Dont agree with this. Apply this principle to you in your job.. Footballers don't care about the club. They play for money and to able to smoke shisha in peace. If the fans love them, it's just a bonus on top of their ferrari's and supermodel gf's. If I was shagging TC's missus, I wouldn't care if Villa went down.. That's fair enough but for me that's a massive issue. You don't perform the job you were expected to do and instead of taking the agreed relegation pay cut which you agreed to do you start demanding to leave. That's really poor form IMO and I don't care that their careers are shorter. its a privilege to play football for a living.

I've never understood how players from relegated teams think they have the right to just up and leave. They were partly responsible for the relegation and should take the pay cut and help drag the club back up. The only reason they should be sold is if its the clubs decision.

What is it you like about Andi just out of interest, I think he is one of the worst players we have in the squad personally but that's just my opinion of course Good question. Honestly, I think Andi could do well played consistently in his natural position alongside someone like Benteke. He seldom plays in his most natural position and his skill set is definitely not suited to being wide of a front 3 or more recently wide in a 4-5-1.

Gabby's poor performances usually coincide with the team not playing to his strengths. He is rather one dimensional but the one dimension that he does have is a massive asset.
