  1. **** me, 11pm? You guys are hardcore. I'm tucked up in bed with a cup of cocoa by then!
  2. Are you suggesting that all foreign teams are playing "tippy tappy" football? Because I can assure you that they aren't.
  3. I'm up for it, I don't play too often though during the week tbh.
  4. Hasn't Sherwood come out and praised Sanchez? It might well still be the case but I actually think Sherwood rates him.
  5. I used to think I was the only one who found Barcelona's "perfect football" boring. The way Dortmund played under Klopp particularly last season was far more entertaining to me.
  6. Mod your Panto and then enter races with it! Its like driving on ice, every time I use it I roll it going round the simplest of corners....
  7. Looks like it'll most likely be Baker and Vlaar. Gutted for him and to a lesser extent Okore.
  8. I appreciate that but I would have thought a good business man would be far more skeptical. Its not like MON was a Mourinho or an Ancelotti etc with a track record of doing the thing we were buying the players to do which was get into the Champions League. He should have, and again its hindsight, gone out and got someone to oversee those deals, someone to tell MON that the vast majority of his signings were both overpriced and overpaid, and to steer him in the right direction at times.
  9. Hindsight is an exact science. are you honestly telling me with all the hype that came in with the signing of Martin O'Neill the new owner was going to start arguing with him about who he is going to sign and for how much. That is exactly what HDE would have done and he got castigated for it.....so don't give me that. There maybe another argument to say that it took too long....I will grant that point. See, I think its absolutely what he should have been doing or at least employ someone to do that on his behalf. Its absolutely hindsight and like others I was definitely not complaining about it at the time, it was fantastic. However if I had been told that following MONs reign that cost cutting would put us in a position where we have been fighting relegation ever since then I would be pointing the finger firmly at Randy for not taking that into account when he let him go on a spending spree. Don't get me wrong, I'm not absolving MON, I just find it difficult to blame the employee to the same standard when the employer told him it was OK to do it.
  10. He said that the club needs a change because whilst he is there they are living off past glories. I think he'll end up in England, not sure where though. Don't think Citeh suits him at all.
  11. Have to agree with Jonah on this. Randy's poor financial management and being overly trusting are what put us in this mess. He didn't need to give MON a blank cheque and he should have had a contingency plan if we didn't make the Champions League. He gambled with both our Premier League status and the overall existence of the club and for that alone he won't be missed by me.
  12. I find it funny reading the speculation about him..... Man Citeh? Arsenal? Barcelona? Real Madrid? Spurs? How do they keep managing to sneak their name into a list of elite clubs?
  13. yep, in my head the only player capable of the high pressure game that Klopp used with dortmund is milner and he's likely to leave this summer, with the FFP and the number of players they need i dont think they can go and get a £40m hummels or reus, they need several well scouted £10m players instead, they basically need to have the transfer policy that klopp had when he 1st went to dortmund, hummels, gundogan, bender, lewandowski etc for <£10m not sure city fans / owners / spanish bloke at the top will have that transfer policy Dortmund also have a DOF, Michael Zorc, who he works very closely with on identifying the players to sign. Maybe Citeh are going for a complete reshuffle?
  14. Can't disagree with that, they've definitely been found out a bit more this season but they had 4 years of solid finishes and I think its probably difficult to sustain that, especially when Bayern are determined to destroy your squad in any way possible.
  15. That's my concern. I've got a bit of affection for Dortmund. Me and my mate chose the cheapest flight we could find last minute and ended in Dortmund the season they won the league for the first time under Klopp and I've watched pretty much every game since. I disagree that he is a one trick pony. He might not be a master tactician but he certainly gets his players playing excellent football. There downfall this season has been mostly due to injuries and not finding a suitable replacement for Lewandowski.
  16. Its official, leaves June 30th. Man Citeh awaits unfortunately.
  17. Reus only recently signed a new deal without and reported buyout clauses. I'd imagine it would cost a serious amount to get him now.
  18. Klopp has apparently asked for his contract to be terminated at Dortmund. Press conference at 13:30CET.
  19. I honestly think that a lot of it is to do with your training environment. When I used to train at a commercial gym in London, I thought I was the world's strongest man, even though I'd rarely press the 50s and hadn't dead lifted 200, just because of the other people training there. Since moving to a more hardcore gym where the weights go much higher and I've seen what other guys are lifting and how hard they train, it's spurred me on I guess. And I suppose I've just learnt more about getting stronger, too. That said, I still can't say where DB press strength has come from. I didn't consciously work at it. One day everything just felt too light and I just kept ramping the weight. I started pressing on the GVT at 47.5kg. I finished it last week and happy to post my final phase log if anyone is interested. Always interested. This thread is probably my favourite on VT, having a small group of knowledgable people around to learn from is excellent! How long has everyone been lifting for?
  20. Mason can go suck a dick. Wouldn't have him here if Spurs paid us to have him. Agree completely, I can just see Sherwood going in for some Spurs kids and I'd imagine those two won't be in the first team next season. Wouldn't mind Benteleb though.
  21. I only found out the other day that Sweet Potatoes were in fact not potatoes.....
  22. Ok, I tried the unofficial db bench press challenge. Did 1 set of 8 reps at 35kgs, last few reps were ropey as **** so I thought I better not go for a second set The concept of lifting as heavy as JB did is mind boggling to me!
