I think Everton at home is probably the easiest fixture in the Premier at this point in time so I expect a bounce back win. Defeat will beg serious questions about the manager, his team building and his ability to influence performances at individual and team level.

Will all of our opponents play a 10 man low block, in which case we won't win too many. In the more likely case that teams will come out and play against us because they fancy they can beat us then we'll pick up wins for sure. I'm still more optimistic than pessimistic but that will change after 5 games if we are less than 50% on points gained.

Get the opinions but being that brutal about our manager seems unnecessarily harsh given that you'll probably be hammering through boxes of tissues if we beat Everton !!!

That away shirt is seriously embarrassing ...... not because of the colour but because it turns into a sweat pit as soon as the sun comes out. If I were a shirt sponsor, I'd be none too happy with my logo drowning in a sweaty rag. Either change the material or change the colour !!!

Mc Ginn was invisible and had no impact on that one, Coutinho looked years past his best and a complete waste of a shirt. Defence did okay but had little help from midfielders who never did their jobs defensively. Ings was a fly on a windscreen, Watkins wasn't even a fly. If Gerrard never realised before, he must now know that Villa need a strong, powerful, experienced frontman because Bournemouth's D had it way too easy out there !

Not for me. Potential yes but has shown not the slightest hint of being there yet in any of his cameo appearances for Villa and as somebody who watches our secondary sides, he rarely shows much in those games either. Good luck to him but he’s half the player Jacob Ramsey is and will be!

Can anybody explain how Villa TV works with pre-season friendlies. I have Villa+ on a monthly £1.99 sub and want to replace it with something that includes the pre-season games but I'm stuffed if I can work it out. It tells me to check my account page for upgrade options but there are no upgrade options detailed ! Any help appreciated !

Yet to see any evidence that he can perform at senior level and he looks a long way off the pace being set by others so really couldn't care less what he does nor where he goes ...... just hope he does whatever he wants to do quickly as the amount of talk about a player of limited importance to us is crazy !

Luiz has held us back for too long and is bang average on a good day. Slow, poor in the tackle, negative beyond belief and just a legend in his own imagination ..... we need way better than that !

Fed up of watching Villa v Blues as we always show a complete lack of passion and attitude. Somebody needs to give these women a lesson about what playing Blues actually means if you are Villa and get them to play with more heart, passion and desire. Very poor once again !!!

Keep him if money is very sensible but it won't be so get rid ..... rather spend the money on a very good player who is going to get better. Phil is at his peak and that peak will drop over seasons ahead.

Probably 30 seconds of significant contribution in 97 minutes. Nowhere near what we should be paying big money for.

Decent point from that hole, we were as good as they were and thought Ollie had a good game up top where he was a constant threat. On the downside or upside, depending on your perspective, Coutinho proved he isn't worth wasting big money on and Bailey should be the first out the door this Summer ..... two anonymous players who contributed nothing today.

You ARE kidding aren't you ? We can do better than Ollie if we wanted to go big but Tammy is not big and is probably a £15M Premiership player if you think you might get a season out of him. He'll do okay in other leagues but not ours. Decent Championship striker when on form and we are better than that !
