  1. Having spent the last two evenings watching the Champions League, this match is laughable. I wish SuperLeague would have gone ahead just to see Arsenal get broken by Bayern Munich and Real on weekly basis.
  2. It's a good time if your shopping list includes a single, green, leftover banana
  3. Apparently Manuka honey has some very good PR and health benefit wise, is not much different from regular 'good' honey you can buy at a local farm or garden centre (i.e. not tescos £2 honey). Check this bad boy out: https://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/the-true-honey-company-ultra-premium-manuka-honey-mgo1500-250g_R03701690/
  4. £120 for the test is nothing but a tax on travel. The tests themselves must cost government pennies. If they really want to test people, make travellers take a 30min test at a site where it can be verified by NHS, like a pharmacy or at the GP. Do this within 24/48 hours of travel. If they want to be extra vigilant, open testing hubs at airports so you can be tested on the day of travel too. It seems like a much easier solution than £120 PCR test.
  5. Also 'looking after fans' is a stupid argument to be making and has nothing to do with fundamentals of law. If a man murders someone, you put him in prison - you don't let him off because his family might be negatively affected.
  6. The meeeeh factor about it is that if you can't watch the final, the same fixture will be played in 2 days time at the Etihad.
  7. Other than endless money being drip fed forever, wasn't the SuperLeague created so that fans never have to fear relegation, failure, or financial struggle? So I say that if they wanted to 'benefit' the fans in that way, the fans should suffer as the project has back fired.
  8. Here is a disgusting thought... I hope Madrid win today.
  9. Out of all the 'evil' teams I like Man City most. It seems like players aren't dicks, De Bruyne is the best in what he does, they don't have 'stars' like Man Utd or PSG or Juve. You will not see a Naymar in a sky blue shirt. They have the best manager, and the team is a joy to watch. Even with Liverpool last year, you could see that team was amazing but vulnerable. This City team is simply next level. I went to a couple of CL game at Etihad a few years back and the atmosphere around the stadium was good - live bands, beers. They certainly know how to bring in revenue and families in. Sure it's not the terraces of the 80s and 90. But it's modern and fun to take your son or daughter to. Other than being funded by oil money (and here we get into moral arguments of what money isn't 'evil') they just seem like a very well run club - a club that you can't question on sporting or entertainment merit. I hope they win the CL, Foden, Aguero, De Bruyne deserve it.
  10. If for the rest of the season he performed like he did against Everton, and the price tag was £20m, would you take him?
  11. That's true, but suppliers of fruit and veg have to pay for packaging? So why does Tesco pay extra if they can, I don't know, not pack avocados or leeks or apples?
  12. Everyone talks about reducing emissions, caring for environment, looking after the planet. Good. We should do that. Can someone explain why there isn't a law that says major retailers can't put fruit and veg in plastic packaging? Why do I have to pick up leeks covered in foil in Tesco's? Why are apples packaged in plastic? Why do avocadoes have plastic cover, and a plastic thing on which they sit? Manufacturers must pay big money for all that plastic and it's simply not needed - as far as I can tell, a customer doesn't benefit from this packaging at all. Why does no one talk about this as an issue, yet plastic straws are somehow frowned up? I bet quantity of plastic straws vs unnecessary plastic packaging isn't even a close race.

What's actually changed/been added to BMH? Is it that gym section that wasn't there before? What were the gym facilities like before? Anything else that might have not been shown/mentioned in the video?
  14. Yup. Virus is also not contagious to the rich who have no problem with paying £5k.
  15. It's a horrible situation and I hope you/any close ones are ok. At the same time, in some parts of the world it isn't a horrible situation anymore. So I don't think that the parts of the world which have very little risk should suffer governmental restrictions if there is no/little data to back their policies. As for helping other countries like India, sure, I am all for that, but I am not knowledgeable enough to know how so I will leave that to others. Let's say UK gave up 50 million vaccines, wouldn't that be a drop in the ocean of India's needs? Also, UK isn't fully vaccinated yet, so can a UK Government risk lives of people here to save others? Difficult questions which I have no answers for.
  16. International holidays are also low on my priority list. But seeing my dad and my kid seeing his grandparents is pretty high. I can't help the fact that some countries haven't had the vaccines and I'm sorry you are in that situation. But UK has had the vaccines, so more freedom should be given to us as we pose little risk to anyone.
  17. But right now aren't we talking about a theoretical danger of vaccine resistant variants? While it seems that the South African strain is more resistant, the people who have caught it after having the vaccine only experienced mild symptoms (if they even got infected as they still have some protection) and as far as I can find in research, no deaths in such cases have been recorded. There could always be a new variant, sure. But right now that doesn't seem to affect the vaccinated population badly.
  18. How much money is too much money? And why? I really agree with the spirit of what you are saying, but I feel that it's an emotional argument rather than one based on the rights of ownership and free market that those clubs were purchased under. Too much money is subjective and open to discussion while at the end of the day, Man U, Villa or Southampton are owned by someone - they are someone's business. We may not like it as fans, but someone owns those teams. So I'd be careful with putting restrictions on these clubs. What I would do instead is hold them accountable to their books - if West Ham want to buy Mbappe for £500m, pay him £1m a week and pay the agent £100m that is absolutely fine in my opinion. But they will go bust because that will bring them greater debt and it will not be a good investment. It will generate a loss. Give teams like Villa or Everton a real chance to compete financially with Man Utd or Chelsea. But if it goes south, hold them accountable.
  19. I wonder, very likely next year we will still have 1-10 deaths a day, much like with flus etc. Will this sort of control/regulation still be happening?
  20. Considering that majority of people are now vaccinated (nearly all at any serious risk) and the fact that it looks like travel will be severely restricted, it is a conspiracy to suggest the politicians in charge want us to get back to normal.
  21. I too think that Souness talking shit must have contributed to Jack's injury.
  22. Call me uninformed, but what are they protesting exactly? Their transfer money is judge, they get top managers that they quickly sack, they have massive sponsorship deals, they will be in yet another European final... Sport wise, what exactly is wrong on the red side of Manchester?
  23. If there is no punishment, I say we get ourselves down to VP and protest on pitch until Grealish is recovered
