  1. Yeah i appreciate the games model has now changed and the days of 20 odd games a month coming out is probably over. In some ways that suits me because im only a moderate gamer so one game a month (a really polished one) suits me but in the 15 months ive owned this console the general lack of games is quite surprising really.
  2. Bit quiet on the old games front at the moment. Anything good to look out for in the next month? For the 2 months post Christmas there has been nothing really, i thought these were supposed to games consoles?
  3. As I said about a week back, somehow the IT crowd passed me by when it was on. Just finished watching series 4 and it's brilliant, reminds me of peep show. Favourite moment was when Moss says 'You're building a sea parks out of mash potato aren't you'
  4. Thats a bit harsh but horses for courses and all that. I've been listening to the insider podcast which comes out after every episode and its quite interesting, i know they did one for breaking bad but i never listened to those ones. When you hear the creators and directors talking about an hour long episode for well over an hour you realise how much love there is for the source material. They have already discussed little things that i missed in the show and there are lots of little references to breaking bad that you probably wouldn't even notice, definitely recommended for fans of the show.
  5. That's three superb movies right there. What can i say, I clearly have good taste in Movies
  6. As i'm on a bit of a film binge at the moment i have a choice between three films later. Inherent Vice / Killer Joe / Robot and Frank Any suggestions?
  7. Good to know someone else enjoyed it.
  8. Blue Ruin.... I think someone posted on here a while back, can't be bothered finding the original comment just wondering if they liked it too? I really enjoyed it for what it was, I like films where I don't know any of the cast as it makes it all a lot more believable, there's not many people in the film so it's left to the main character to carry the story which he does well and I think we might be seeing a bit more of him in the future. Seems like the same director has a bigger film called green room coming up which he will also be in, will keep an eye out for that.
  9. The only positive that i'm clinging on to is that at some point we have to string a couple of results together, whether that's wins or a draw and a win. No matter how shit you are, at some point your strikers will score a couple of goals or a result will go your way, the problem is that game by game we are running out of time for this to happen, and the realisation is getting bigger that we probably are the worst team in the league, imagine us going away to Chelsea and picking up a point like Burnley did.
  10. How did it go? If you weren't blowing out your arse after the first 10 minutes then kudos to you.
  11. Hes probably the right choice for an Alien movie, his style would probably suit the film. Looking forward to his new film Chappie out soon, looks like a re imagining of one of my favourite movies as a kid, Short Circuit.
  12. The more i look at our team the more i think our midfield is just full of the same players. Sanchez, Cleverley, Delph and Westwood could all play the holding midfielder infront of the back 4. Gil has shown his attacking intents and maybe sinclair with his pace and a bit more match practice could be a good player for us but for me its so obvious we need another 3 or 4 players to actually go and attack. I suppose its easier to say the grass is always greener but our team is so devoid of any attacking intent i would be much happier with winning or losing games 3-2 than playing for boring 1-0's every week (and failing miserably at that) Sherwood has a lot of work ahead and it will be interesting to see what he does in his first game.
  13. The thing with putting people on Mars for me is essentially whats the point? We can send unmanned missions to gather data and test substances that may be useful to us so why send humans? I get the fact that each step to the next planet is a "giant leap for man kind" but until we can leave our own solar system we know nothing. If the ultimate goal is to find intelligent life like us its going to be in a galaxy thousands or millions of light-years away, not on the other rocks on our doorstep. God knows where we will be as a species in 1000 years time but i find it very hard to believe that humans will ever be able to make these distances, even if we could travel at relativistic speeds (say 99% of the speed of light) you would struggle to get much further than the closest stars in a human lifetime and that's ignoring the practicalities for building a ship that could actually achieve this journey. We may be able to send out signals to communicate with these distant planets but while we are stuck on earth experiencing non relativistic speeds through space we won't live long enough to ever receive anything back. Kudos to someone who can get around those obstacles but i suppose the best we can do is one step at a time but its a bloody long ladder we have to climb.
  14. Another vote for Moone Boy. Thought that was great.
  15. Hate to say it but i really didn't like this film. I didn't care about any of the characters and it all felt a bit forced to me.
  16. I actually haven't watched the IT crowd, it just passed me by for some reason. After seeing you all recommend it i think i will have to start. I watched the outing one to the theatre after seeing you all chatting about it and it was very funny, i suspect it would be more so if i actually knew the characters properly.
  17. Better Call Saul - So much better than I expected. It really is excellent and we are only 3 shows in.
  18. Wyrmwood Watched it last night and was quite impressed. Its certainly not a genre changer but its nice to see a no bullshit zombie film. For what appeared a low budget film it hit the right marks. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the director because if he gets some decent cash for his next film it could be very interesting. If you like B movies this is definitely worth a watch. 7.5/10
  19. AVFCDAN

    Top Gear

Margot Robbie - looks like that and drives like that. Must be a cyborg from the future!
  20. AVFCDAN

    Top Gear

That would be interesting but it's obvious who would be last.
  21. If people weren't already doing this you probably wouldn't believe that was real.
  22. Just out of interest when is he really good? DOnt get me wrong, in the O'Neill years he was very good, still didnt score a lot but added a lot to the team. In the last 3-4 years he's basically picking up his pay cheque as far as i'm concerned. Honestly i've got no agenda against him but for me he just doesn't deserve his place in the team anymore. I'm certain there are at least 10 strikers we could pick up for less than a million from the lower leagues who would have done more over the last 3-4 years.
