Last 5 minutes we could have conceded 4 times but before that we were fairly solid but created hardly anything going forward - I think the fact McCormack and gestede and tish were not available maybe played a big part in rdm choosing that side . was a dreadful game to be honest .

I think pep has a style and system that's worked for him over many years - the players he's inherited have adapted to it as you'd expect with players of that quality .

I think the people that pushed for pep had worked with him at Barca and they both knew what they were getting involved with - far better pep than the loose cannon across the city . with rdm I'm not quite sure who chose him - there were muRmurings xia wanted him as it would go down well in China as he's a big name champions league winner - will be interesting to see how xia plays this as he's been very quiet on Twitter in recent days .

Should have had the balls to resign if that was the case and leave with his head held high . these comments today suggest a weak manager who didn't stand up to them then and I was under the impression Tim was quite outspoken at Spurs .

We have 3 games in a week starting with Newcastle and then a 2 week break - hopefully results will pick up in those 3 games - if not and we have 1 win in 11 and a 2 week break it would be the ideal time to make the decision . i hope as you suggest that we do turn it around in these games as it would save the upheaval .

I think with tish and McCormack back we will win 3-1 and finally begin to kickstart our season - would love things to really click in this game and give them a pasting . in reality it could go any of 3 ways and a hard game to predict , a ciaran clark og would be nice .

Agreed , since half time against brenfford the aim seems to be make sure we don't concede a goal rather than to make sure we score more goals - we have the attackiNg players to hurt teams and need to play more on the front foot - he seems to have gone from one extreme to the other . i accept our options were limited yesterday up front wIth two strikers missing but we must attack Newcastle and not sit back and try to defend .

I've seen us the better side in most games this season but silly mistakes and poor finishing have cost us many points . however the last 2 games have been worse than the previous ones and that's a point of concern - we do have a few out injured and missed McCormack , tish and gestede yesterday as we looked light up front - time to look ahead now and get some wins under our belt .

Correct - it's silly to rule out our chances after 8 games - of course we need to start winning soon but it's far from too late . Barnsley were 24th and bottom last Xmas and ended the season promoted - if we could get a few wins then things could change very fast and we'd fly up the table - won't be easy but far from impossible .

Winning the next 3 would be the turning point - one win is neither here nor there - we need a run of wins to boost confidence

Rdm said yesterday he is fit again and should be back against Newcastle after another weeks training under his belt - unless he gets another knock

Van gaal suggested United would be his last club - why would a manager of his reputation take on a job like villa in the championship ? We couldn't attract an out of work moyes and that was with money to spend . i voted to give rdm 3 games and see where we stand - however that was just after the game yesterday and in reflection it was not a bad point although probably our worst performance in the league this season with little attacking threat . i can take a draw if we have a go and play attacking football but rdm seems to have retreated and now playing the safety first style of Lambert . we have some good attacking players - we must play to their strengths - I do feel the return of tish will improve our team considerably but worry he will turn out to be injured more often than fit - he will be crucial if we are to improve .

One swallow doesn't make a summer - I know many Albion fans and not one wants him to stay there . If rdm goes I'd hope for better than pulis .
