Why on earth would Allardyce ever leave a rising, in-form, high-ranked, London-based Premier League club with a huge new stadium for Villa? Can't see it. Contract ends in 3 months and they haven't spoken to him about renewing it .

I mentioned Houllier shortly after the news of Lamberts sacking. I'd have him back here. Don't think he will though, health reasons surely? Certainly not as manager - might be as DOF - highly unlikley IMO.. How feasible is Bob Bradley......where is he now ? Maybe houllier an adviser to fox?

Hearing moyes is not having a good time of it in Spain so I would try to tempt him back . Failing that i would give Hoddle the role . My old friend Morpheus is today cockahoop as he feels vilified and says he's been proven correct about Lambert all along . Personally I feel the club was too big for him and it's time to look ahead to the future with a decent appointment made .

Agreed , he's been the best of a poor bunch since he arrived but hugely injury prone - he is no mellberg, mcgrath, or laursen that's for sure. Worth the £3m transfer fee we paid without question but I feel okore will prove a much better defender in time.

I look forward to this John robertson said in his book that he couldn't discuss their leaving of villa due to a clause in their payoff and I doubt mon would be able to say much on the matter either sadly.

Disappointing that his agent waited until he was out of the country before stating Vlaars intention of leaving - no surprise of course andi can't say I really blame him - no doubt Delph will also go - the situation should have been addressed a year ago but randy is reaping what he sows . The club is a mess - I see no sign of real hope until Lambert is gone as he is a huge cayuse of the malaise on the playing side . Sad to see a great club being run down by Lambert and lerner .

The football pulis had palace playing last season was far better than Stoke or villa have produced in many years. I would prefer moyes to pulis but either would be a huge improvement on Lambert.

There is a losing mentality at the club and the manager does nothing to make me think he can improve the situation - fox needs to convince lerner to fire Lambert.

A decent manager would take this squad into the top 10 in my opinion - Lambert should be gone but he will survive because the owner has lost interest and until the club is sold we will drift on in the current decline.

Benteke let us down in his reaction but both should have seen red .

Moyes and Pulis are both far better than Lambert - of the two I'd prefer moyes but cannot see why he would come here with lerner in charge .

Looked decent apart from a couple of awful passes - 2nd goal was shocking but he was far and away our best player .

Correct although sadly I can't see see any hope of either departing soon - the club will remain running adrift on the rocks until Lerner finds a buyer and then Lambert will undoubtedly be gone under new ownership. Sadly while this farce continues the chance of finding a buyer looks even slimmer .

Cleverly has impressed me - I would definately be looking to sign him on a permanent deal if possible - class act in my opinion .

I been saying for a while I would love us take Moyes. Or even Pulis. Or even bloody Sam Alladici. Change is needed. I agree change is needed and moyes may well be the right man - however I don't think he would come here until the ownership is sorted and I don't see lerner parting with Lambert either .
