Last 8 years of competitive games: Argentina average points per game with Messi 2.3 Argentina average points per game without Messi 1.04 -
Why? 4 promotions from 4 seasons in the Championship. Not too many quality managers are going to want to take the reins at a club at the bottom of the 2nd tier, which has proven time and again to be a managerial graveyard. If you backed McLeish, Lambert, Sherwood et al, surely Bruce isn't a step too far.
-
Plus he spoke well of a number of our players recently on The Football League Show. Seemed a particularly big fan of Westy.
-
Totally agree! It does sound bonkers
-
And to think I used to continuously accuse Tony of not knowing how to plug a gap at the back. That video has put me well and truly in my place
-
Come on mate, there could be kids reading this. Nobody wants to hear about your genitalia and the nicknames you give it.
-
Tbf he took over an Inter side that hadn't won a domestic trophy since the 80's and took them to 3 Serie As and 2 Coppa Italias in 4 seasons, after previously doing a great job with a Lazio side stripped of their star talents. Either way, there's no way he'd even return our call atm! Guidolin, Bruce or Wagner of those mentioned for me!
-
Because he did an outstanding job at both Palermo (promotion to Serie A and then highest ever finish) and Udinese (Champ League places twice on a shoestring budget). He also did very well to halt Swansea's slide last season and has paid for some tough fixtures/bad luck this campaign imo.

Tony Moon played very well for Eibar at the Bernabeu today! Bale wasn't tracking him and I haven't seen Tony bomb forward this much since the Emirates 2013! -
Ratings and Reactions: Preston v Villa
Mat Kendrick's Dentist replied to limpid's topic in C:Preston a
Bunn 4: Terrible keeper was terrible. Mutton 5: Poor right-back was poor. Cissokho 6: Average left-back, etc, etc. Elphick 5: Judgment is poor. Baker deserves a run imo. Chester 6: Has improved in the last few games but still gets dragged out of position too often, at the cost of our shape at the back. Westwood 4: Poor performance compounded by an awful mistake. Jedinak 4: Poor performance compounded by an even worse mistake for the first goal. Having someone with no legs as our only midfielder for 45 mins is bordering on the insane. Jack 6: Not his best day at the office. Still have faith in his quality, but our offensive organisation and transitions from defense to attack need to improve sharpish. Adomah 6: Works hard off the ball and is a willing runner. See him more as a good option from the bench though. Ayew 7: Only player committing/beating defenders and opening up space in the Preston half. Class above anyone else in the squad/league and I feel sorry for him. Worked very hard. Kodjia 6: Good talent who needs quicker service. Kept taking too long to find him by which time he was bottled up. Goal questionably ruled out and won the pen. Subs Gestede 6: Tried hard and won a few headers in the Preston area. McCormack 6: Needs to start. Missed the pen but brings more to the table creatively than some of our other attacking options. Amavi 6: Only got 10-15 minutes. Should be starting for me. First half we only ever had 1/2 players ahead of the ball and Amavi is one who is capable of joining in. Suspect defensively, but this could be levelled at Cissokho recently too. Officials 2: Gave a number of crazy decisions between them, and as awful as we played, we were hard done by on a number of occasions. Di Matteo 2: Recurring theme of leaving a chasm of space in front of our back four to be attacked. No organisation going forward either and never enough players in attacking areas. 4-1-5 with the "1" being filled by Jedinak and his zimmerframe was bizarre and left us open to counter after counter. -
We can all see through your act mate. You're just upset he doesn't have Westy in his 3-man midfield
-
It's a dilemma. On the one hand we could use 3 in the middle. On the other hand, however, Westwood, Jedinak and Gardner have all been cack so it's tough to play 2 of those at the expense of a Grealish/McCormack.

There's a joke in there about rimjobs and creampies but I'm above such gags -
??? We're being bossed from what I'm listening to.

Tbf he wasn't raised by his biological father, and feels no connection towards the family name. Seems a decent lad from what I've seen.
