  1. Hart had a diabolical campaign at Torino, genuinely a worse season than Bravo had.
  2. Thought you of all people would have had some empathy for him . I'd like to know if the streaming service will be available to fans in Ireland, and how we plan to instill a footballing philosophy through all grades at the club.
  3. True, Kruse had a good Ruckrunde, but Auba had the far better season. As I said, the top team is more accurate, barring a couple of tweaks.
  4. Frederik Sorensen has been horrendous for Koln! Soyuncu a very strange call too, as Freiburg are a mess at the back. The top team with Papastathopoulos and Thiago in for Soyuncu and Rudy wouldn't be miles off.
  5. Barca a shambles at the back, mind. Messi bailing them out again.
  6. Real Sociedad have fallen off a cliff. Looked Champions League contenders up until recently, will be lucky to get Europa League now the way they're going. Massive difference between their performance vs Barca at Anoeta a few months ago and their offering at Camp Nou today.
  7. We'll have to agree to disagree regarding 2006 and 2010. I would also argue that he's not declining. The amount of times he has single-handedly rescued Barca in poor team performances this season (Sevilla/Sociedad/Athletic/Atletico, etc) has been staggering. He has 43 goals in 43 games already this season, 11 in 8 in the Champions League. I'm totally for bringing in Dybala and the new blood, but I wouldn't be in as much of a rush to remove the guy Argentina look absolutely clueless without.
  8. He was great against Switzerland iirc, beating a few men to lay the winner on for Di Maria in injury time. Remember him playing some unbelievable passes from deep vs Belgium too. Mascherano was excellent yeah, and literally suffered a "torn anus" after making that challenge on Robben
  9. Argentina would literally not qualify for the World Cup if they passed the torch. Dybala is a great talent but he's no Messi, and the Argentine fans aren't exactly forgiving. Without coming across as a Messi fanboy (because I'm not), I don't buy into the argument that he hasn't done it on the international stage either. He was fantastic in WC 2006 (when played) and WC 2010 (despite not scoring in Maradona's woefully set-up side). Player of the tournament in 2014. Granted, Robben or James arguably deserved it, but Messi was incredible until the semis when he was totally out of gas. Also brought them to finals in both most recent Copa Americas with brilliant displays, only for Higuain to continuously miss sitters. As Chris mentioned above, the likes of Aguero/Higuain/Tevez's struggles for Argentina puts Messi's worth into perspective.
  10. Neither of those play well for Argentina, granted, but for them, Dybala and Icardi to be twiddling their thumbs in Messi's absence, and LUCAS PRATTO waddling around in the altitude of La Paz was asylum stuff.
  11. Ridiculous isn't it. Messi was suspended vs Bolivia in their most recent match and Bauza opted not to play Aguero, Higuain, Dybala or Icardi, but to play Correa and the hopeless Lucas Pratto up front instead! Another horrendous defeat later and thankfully he's gone. Hope Sampaoli can sort them out, though Simeone (even part-time) would have a great chance of leading them to a World Cup win imo.
  12. All of this is true. Luis Enrique seems to be putting the 6-1 down to his bizarre 343. It wasn't. They are massively exposed every time they lose the ball, and did Juve's job by bottling up the middle of the park on Messi. They also really struggled to build the play without Busquets as Mascherano couldn't dictate. The less said about Andre Gomes/Mathieu the better. Iniesta and Rakitic also had very poor games. Credit to Juve who are a ferocious side, especially at the J Stadium. Alex Sandro, Dani Alves and Dybala were terrific again tonight.
  13. Carlos Soler? He's been a bright spot under Voro. As has Zaza, which some will find hard to believe! Still seems to be a big split between players and fans though. Cancelo turning on his fans (and vice versa) after his goal this week was just the latest example
  14. It's reported that Steve Round and Tony Coton were at the recent Hannover vs Union Berlin game. Who do we reckon they were looking at? Hoping it's Salif Sane or Martin Harnik. Felix Kroos maybe?
  15. Good player but for me he's always been a scorer of great goals rather than a great goalscorer. His former strike partner at Udinese, Toto di Natale however
  16. Other than Hutton, who was dreadful until March, I agree with all of this.
  17. Jota was sensational against us, and seems to have played well since (based on highlights). What is the general view on him at Brentford? He was a good player for Spain underage, but never really broke through at Eibar.
  18. Think his record last season was better than 1 in 2 if you take minutes played into account but Nuno/Neville/Ayestaran all favoured Alcácer, so he didn't see much pitch time. Anyway, that's my thread hijacking done! For me, unless someone else fires us back to the big time at Wembley, it's: 1. Kodjia 2. Kodjia 3. Kodjia
  19. Think Negredo would score quite a few in a more balanced team. Boro are reminiscent of us under Lambert, in that they're so incredibly deep when they receive the ball, and so lacking in ideas when it comes to building the play that they can only really score through counter attacks or set pieces. Back on topic, I agree totally that Kodjia is our POTS.
  20. Defo Kodjia for me. We're not exactly a free-flowing, creative side, so the fact that he's odds on for a 20-goal haul (despite often operating on the wing) is impressive. Baker is arguably his closest rival for me (Chester is decent but his positioning and decision-making gives me nightmares). Lansbury has generally played well since arriving (though not vs Norwich), and Amavi had a good first half of the season, but it's clearly Kodjia based on the whole campaign imo.
  21. Good, Carles may have left us, but at least you're going nowhere.......
