I learned a new word today, one that I have never read or heard before. I mean I've heard some words that I didn't know and had to look up. But in 60 years I've never come across it. Anyway the word is eggcorns. It means misinterpreting words of phrases people hear. An example would be a damp squid instead of a damp squib. The latter being the correct one.

My favourite was Chris Waddle who played semi pro for a few years after he retired. Anyway he came across a young full back and gave him a torrid time. After 80 mins the opposition boss subbed the kid and gave him a right bollocking. So Waddle went over to the two of them and said don't worry lad I did that to Maldini 2 years ago

I don't know this. I've travelled a fair bit so in different parts of the country and in a few other countries, when they know who I support, I'm often greeted with up the Villa.
