  1. Jesus-titty-****-christ - £80 for a tighter fit.

    Douglas Luiz

We aren’t losing out if we wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to sign him.

F**k the money, I'm ECSTATIC he's back. Can you really put a price on an already settled LEADER coming back into a depleted squad in a new league? If we must pay a premium to give him a full pre-season instead of waiting until the final day of the window I'd say it's worth every penny.
  4. I wouldn't be so sure of a Guilbert start. ( Resident Elmo fanboy here)
  5. If he's as good as people are saying he is he'll be worth £40 million next July.
  6. Like most I'm cautiously optimistic that this will be a very shrewd signing. I'm excited to see him play.
  7. Whilst I don't disagree with your point I think that transfer summary is harsh. Instead of filing Carroll and Kalinic into the 'miss' category I'd simply exclude them from the conversation entirely. Carroll, as far as I recall, looked tidy during his brief cameo and then was ruled out through injury. Kalinic, benched via a freak injury (concussion vs WBA), was unable to reclaim his place given the form of a certain Jed Steer, which I doubt many people expected. Unless you expect the management team to predict injuries I wouldn't call either transfer a miss - we were unlucky and neither played enough for us to judge. .. But on the other hand perhaps I'm biased since I'm certain a fully fit Carroll would play extremely well in a championship level Dean Smith side and I'm confident there's a PL-level keeper in Kalinic if given time.
  8. Would you be convinced if Dean Smith, Suso and their team of analysts thought he was worth £30m?
  9. I'm wondering if we should offer Lansbury on loan for 6 months to help push this through. It'd give Henri a chance to prove himself in a pretty robust system that'd certainly test his fitness and gives them a soft replacement who's good on the ball.

Take your time Villa. This will happen, don't be held to ransom.
  11. It's clear to me that we're taking our time given every single club, at least in England, are taking the p*ss with their valuation of players. Whether that's a product of our promotion or it being the market in general these days is up for debate. The hold-up on Wesley I'd attribute to the work permit application.
  12. I'm a huge fan of Elmohamady and I think Smith's style in particular helped with his turnaround in form. If not the most physical he's cool-headed on the ball and a smart player going forward as the assist for Jack's goal against Rotherham shows. I'm very happy to have him in the squad as cover on the right flank for next season.
  13. We've been a bit quiet about Joe Lolley, sign him up just for this tweet. (Looks like he's deleted the tweet. The above was a response to a blose supporter tweeting about Garry Monk getting fired.)
  14. Ridiculous to see 0 goal Solanke start ahead of Abraham. Also why wasn't Axel called up?
  15. I'm seeing Sky reporting Keylor Navas is available for ~£17m. If Wolves can attract Rui Patricio... could we move for Navas? Speaking more realistically I'd absolutely love Butland but for anything more than £20m+ I'd rather we spend the money elsewhere and roll the dice on Kalinic/Steer. If Kalinic can find his feet I'm confident there's a prem level keeper there.
  16. Thanks but I already knew that, I wasn't asking how to find this info but how to improve it. My mistake, I'd hazard a guess at prize money & reputation from winning competitions, increasing player value through their ratings, buying expensive players, etc. Improving your facilities wouldn't be a bad idea either, as mentioned above.
  17. Go to World > Finances > England/Richest Clubs
  18. It's going to be a good year for games next year. With this, Gears, Mass Effect and the new Ghost Recon.
