  1. Rashford is having surgery on his shoulder and will be out until October apparently
  2. I completely agree with what you've said, though I have seen plenty of opposition to this in general around the east coast (I've seen plenty of "Trump Won" flags recently which was shocking) and in fact many people whom refer to California as a Communist state. There was just a kerfuffle about the USWNT and "not respecting" the anthem and I saw plenty of folks getting really angry over it.
  3. i think someone mentioned it was Luton
  4. iirc it was about the transfer and registration of U18 players from abroad.
  5. No, nothing negative with Villa really changed my mind, more to do with Real and Barca being very financially insecure. Because usually those 2 were considered the only "non selling" clubs and now they need to sell. All to do with FFP making things fair
  6. I think these past few weeks pretty much confirmed that unless your club is owned by a sovereign country, FFP has made it that no club can avoid the "selling club" moniker. Obviously, I don't want us to sell players but there are price points where it doesn't make financial/economic sense from a club PoV to turn down a bid.
  7. Ralf Rangnick is the "head of sports and development of Lokomotiv FC"
  8. I don’t know if this is something really important but I think that when we’re signing all these young prospects that each club who sold them mentions our offer being “substantial” or “fair” and not being pretty cheap like other clubs have been known to do
  9. American football analyst showed a comparable with NFL stars
  10. to me it seems like one would be regularly starting for us vs one who wouldn't be regularly starting
  11. if this happens, we will need to partey hard with AFTV on repeat am I right
  12. Increasing the bid by 2.5m doesn’t make sense unless we were told that bid had a good chance of being accepted I would think.
  13. As I also live in the states, I can't really help you that much in terms of what to do over there. I will say, I made my first trek over for the Spurs game last February, and something that kept the price relatively low was I booked airfare plus hotel together. Obviously, a lot depends on which game you pick and where you decide to stay (and what you're interested in seeing).
  14. Kind of a funny thing, I signed this guy Szymon Czyż from Lazio on a free in my old Warta Poznan save in the 21 summer transfer window. Today I got a notification from the club's twitter account that they actually signed him in real life.
  15. Thought as we has a thread for the 20/21 season, there would be a 21/22 season thread. Looks like all the manager vacancies will be filled soon as Palace are close to appointing Patrick Vieira. Can't see anyone but City winning the title this season as well.
  16. so we go out and spend 40m on Tammy... What happens with Watkins? Playing a 4-4-2 / 4-2-2-2 isn't something that Dean's shown he want's to do. He likes the 'inverted winger' coming off the edge on their favored side. Tammy is a pure striker which to me means that if we drop 40m on him, he needs to be starting and when we already have Watkins as our recognized striker doesn't make too much sense for me. BUT if we can get him cheaper (like a loan w/an option or around 20/25m -- which i don't think would happen) then I would be for it. Again, I'm not against the possible signing of him, but he doesn't make sense to be our record signing at 40 million for us when he wouldn't be a guaranteed starter.
  17. another thing to mention if we push Watkins out wide is that he will have a much harder time in getting into the England squad there vs at striker which might also play into his mind.
  18. yep, he almost scored an equalizer but their keeper made a great save.
  19. not the english midfielder I'd want from spurs, I'd be asking about Oliver Skipp
  20. yeah i find it a little weird that he's the most confident 'transfer journo' on that and all of the 'itk' Arsenal ones say nothing is close
  21. Yaremchuk looks a pretty tidy player
  22. honestly, it depends on if it really impacts who else we can buy... rather allocate it to a CDM or a Smith-Rowe/Álvarez type player to replace Barkley. Would love to see if a loan w/option is okay as well
  23. think ESPN has done quite well with the coverage of the Euros over here stateside.
