The positive from today was we made a very good team at home look ordinary. The problem that is all we are to do is stifle teams and not really shine ourselves. Watching us play is certainly more refreshing than last season but we still aren't doing very good when it comes to results. IN the end results will decide if we stay up or not, we can look the prettiest team in the league but that doesn't mean much if we are relegated.
PL doesn't know which team to play or which players work well together. Over time I believe he will get it right but the problem is I feel it may be too late and we might not have time to recover. We have a solid squad but as it as been for years we haven't got a player or players who can make things happen on a consistent level.
The other problem we have is the chances we have we aren't taking. Benteke has missed some sitters that would have put us midway up the table. He or someone else needs to start hitting the net because if they don't we will be in either bigger trouble and quickly.
Bicks,
Sorry for the delay in response to error I am getting, been using my laptop to get on site and not my desktop where I have this error.

Thanks,
If Benteke had put in one of the very good chances he had everyone would be saying right decision; he didn't so of course it was the wrong decision.
I feel it was the right one for today but sadly didn't come off, he'll improve I'm sure.

Go 451 for this game and add a bit more steel in the team. We'll have plenty of forwards to bring on I and when needed. Baker in for Clark, don't think he should have been dropped after Clark came back from suspension.
I must admit I have been a bit of a hypocrite during the transfer window. For years I have wanted Villa to give youth a chance, that being our own or those from lower divisions. When we do I start to go all doom and gloom and expect the worst.
I think seeing teams in and around us spending big money on players got me caught on the wave of relegation fear. I'm not saying now I know for sure now we will be safe after one good performance but I do see some excitement ahead for us this season. If we do go down it won't be without a fight which is something I didn't see last season.

Not sure how you can fall out of love with the Villa but I do feel for you and the way you are feel. I hope there comes a day where you fall back in love with the greatest club in the world.

While #EFC were v good, general consensus at HT was first half was as bad if not worse than anything by #AVFC under Alex McLeish
I honestly don't care if he has only had ten weeks this is piss poor. I said it last week that we can pass well in our half but in the attacking half we don't have a clue. Yes, we don't have the strongest squad but the tactics are down to the manager. He got it wrong last week and he has this week also.
What did you expect him to say?
"Our tactics were poor today and we really need to work out the weaknesses of our opponents before the game and use them against them."
Own up to not doing the job he is paid for. Not saying he won't be a success in the future for us but he got it wrong today.
It was given to him because he did what he was supposed to; stop us scoring goals anyway necessary. SA didn't want him to play the passing game it's not his way; he wants plays to defend and get the ball safe.
That's why he is no longer at Villa because our manager wants us to pass from the back which he doesn't do very well.
