Good game today and a cracking challenge on Milner near the end.

That's why we love this game. Still don't know how we won it but who cares. They should never have taken Nasri off, he was killing us, glad he did though. Great determination fromk the whole team and what a tackle from Baker on Milner at the head.

I would agree with KHV and go 4411. Guzan Lowton Luna Vlaar Clark Bacuna Bennett Sylla Delph Gabby Kozak Gabby playing slightly deeper than Kozak but being able to run on to his flicks. I would play Bennett at left wing and use the attacking ability and natural left foot he has. Sylla and Delp in the middle to kick the crap out of Toure.

With Benteke out he may need to look at his formation. I would go with Kozak/Weimann and Gabby up top and go back to a 442. Let's get two solid lines of four because we are getting torn to bits down the wings.

Only saw it from the 50 minute mark but we didn't really look like scoring even though there was a lot of huff and puff. Albrighton MOTM with Sylla, Bennett and Baker not too bad either. Obvious has been pointed out, poor first half and much better in the second. Quality finish by Sturridge. We were too narrow, didn't get the service to Benteke but saying that their keeper pulled off two quality saves for the clean sheet. We had our chances even in first half but we couldn't get them on target. An attacking mid to link things up before the window closes. Defense look pretty good but undone by a quality goal.

I love all the blogs that are coming out from Spud fans who say they dodged a bullet not buying him lmao, God I really, really hate that club and all that smells within it. Glad we have him for another year, never know what can happen in that year either.

I must admit I thought we would get a 2nd year out of him but guess that's not going to happen. I hope Villa don't settle for anything less than 30 million. I do not know where you live Kwan, but there is a massive infrastructure for women's basketball. AAU, High School Programs, and really big college programs. TBH, basketball is much bigger than volleyball and soccer IMO. Yeah, I can understand the regional differences. You wouldn't find the same programs you'd find in New York as compared to Texas or Florida. I'm from Florida, so most of the infrastructure there is geared towards fielding good soccer players and volleyball players, then softball, then at the very bottom, basketball. Really? Texas is all basketball, and I would assume all urban areas are basketball heavy too. Interesting. I have been in Texas for over 10 years now and at youth level soccer outweighs basketball easily, way more kids play soccer than basketball. Texas also has two pretty strong MLS teams. Dallas and Houston have a really strong soccer program and Austin where I am isn't far behind. I continue to coach soccer and more and more are seeing it as a better option for their children. (Boys and Girls) The Spurs have a pretty strong basketball team but the college teams have sucked for a long time now. Back to Beneke, if he asks to leave let him go but for nothing under 25 million; that would be a good return on a season investment. We just have to hope Randy gives it all to Lambert to spend.

By our next game Wigan would have played 33 games and could very well be still on 31 points. More importantly I hope Man City slam them and they have a worse goal difference because I think it may come down to that in the end. Not one point gained yesterday but two lost.

Three out of our next four games are winnable on our present form. I said last week that I felt Sunderland would be the one to go down no matter who they brought in. After watching Stoke yesterday I think they are in real danger too. We will continue to score goals but the worry is not being able to hang onto leads. I do think we will keep at least one clean sheet by the end of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if we go 7 points out of the next 12.

Baker, and a poor decision by him, was only going to be one outcome. Was a definite penalty.

Wouldn't have minded a point today but the 2nd half performance didn't warrant one. Still think Sunderland are in free fall and they will go down no matter who they get as manager, Fletcher loss is massive for them. We will continue to score goals just need to cut out the silly mistakes at the back. A bit more urgency towards the end would have been nice but overall the better team won.
