  1. Ok ok....i will admit to following ariel winter (she of modern family tv programme) and not just cos she's got fantastic norks..... ....ok, totally cos of her norks
  2. Moving on from my rant at youngsters and how they pose for photos (girls do the sulky pout, boys do the james dean scowl....what's wrong with a fcking smile !?)......it seems to be the fashion for some of the instagram folk i follow (in a desperate attempt to keep up with my niece, nephew and other such younger family members), they post up little 5 or 10 second video clips that they rock back and forth in a rewind/fast forward style - again...why ??? And it can be of the most inane subject too, like a moving pic of their dinner or the latest pair of trainers they spunked £150 on. Or am i being unreasonable
  3. Oh yeah, no question about it. I hope lessons have been well and truly learned from it
  4. Makes me wonder if Fulham knew about his possible issues but "forgot" to tell us during transfer talks and did a number on us Then again, I suppose we'd be no different in their position Meh. He's a busted flush now. Just glad it wasn't my money wasted (sorry, Dr X !)
  5. Marmite flatbreads and M&S lemon meringue fudge (not together of course).....gonna get hooked if I'm not careful
  6. You sound like an honest sincere dude and I've been in a similar situation. I asked myself "is it all my responsibility to fix her issues ?" and although it can sound a bit cruel, I said "no it wasn't", but only for my own sanity and health. It's not being selfish - I mean, be there for her if she wants pointers or a bit of advice but as the other lads on here seem to be saying, just keep a bit of distance and look after YOU and what YOU want
  7. Aaah...good old Millie Tant ! Met a few of them in my lifetime....it's difficult not not take the p1ss - a lot of em seem to just be waiting to be offended
  8. I often feel like that, but always when a curry i make from scratch hits the mark.........I think I'm a bit obsessed about getting that "takeaway style" flavour and texture
  9. Something along the lines of a deliberate inside job by the foundry owners (if she'd have said "to claim on the insurance" I would've laughed my head off.....i mean, wasn't it government owned ?) But for her to imply she knew better about the fall out afterwards than a bloke who actually came from that country beggared belief !
  10. Just finished a first aid course which was enjoyable and informative BUT....there was one old biddie on there who'd been on one before, knew all the answers (or thought she did !) and had a personal story for EVERY injury/illness scenario we covered, frequently interrupting the excellent trainer giving the course. Even stuff off topic we spoke about at breaktime (such as grammar schools were "only for posh people to send their kids to" made me growl back at her that I'd been to one and my old man came to England from Cork in the 60s and made tyres ! She didn't bat an eyelid !) In the end I just went in to the classroom to get away from her. The final straw was when she tried to correct a young Ukrainian bloke sat next to me about Chernobyl and what REALLY happened there and how life was for the survivors !!! And she had a proper whiny voice too ! F right off !!!
  11. FJ is okaaaay I guess, more of a restaurant than a pub now though; yes I believe it is marstons. Dude, you need to choose a different desi pub crew ! That's not the first time they've bailed on you !
  12. Mine are farmer John's, the queslett or the Foley arms ( for that last one !)...but I like to go further afield and having young, 2nd generation Indian couple next door comes in handy when choosing the next desi pub....along with your own good recommendations of course !
  13. Hurry up dude ! Every time I see this (or "what ya eatin there ?") threads updated with your mugshot alongside it, my hopes are raised - and dont forget the photos......of the food, of course !
  14. Not as much as I'd have liked, despite always picking up the bill
  15. Shame. I had my first ever sticky rice there and it used to be my go to place with the ladies. Hadn't been there for a good few years mind.....ah well, guess i'll stick to desi pubs
  16. Am relieved to get more points on the board. I care more about that than playing like Brazil at the moment. It was always going to be gritty; I mean rotherham are dire but we couldnt take anything for granted especially with our away form the way it's been. Like it or not, we are where we deserve to be right now. We wont make the play offs - that's pretty much nailed on (or off ?!). Let's just get some more wins and less injuries please.
  17. Sorry man. I guess at least it got you some experience and the feedback gives you some pointers for next time
  18. @Xela - any news about that interview, dude ?
  19. Dopey idiots who stand too near me as I'm at a cashpoint. They're normally oblivious to their proximity but I always make the exaggerated point of (when finished) turning around and pretending to be startled to which I get an embarrassed, mumbled apology. I'm not usually that guy who bangs on about personal space but that and supermarket checkout queues do my head in
  20. Absolute anthem !! To those of us who are old enough to remember it of course
  21. You can kinda expect and accept it in Tinsel Town, where running out of perrier water is seen as a bit of a crisis....but for the rest of the world to go on about it so much is irritating. All I DO know is that at least one poor envelope stuffer/junior gopher is now joining the dole queue as I type this
  22. @Xela....one for you to answer I believe ?
