I don't see that it matters who takes it over. They'll come in, fail to live up to the borderline insane level of expectation placed upon them before being labelled shit and sent on their way. And that is how it will always be until the majority of South America and Western Europe falls into the sea. No manager is going to have the resources or the power to overhaul the entire footballing system to produce technically gifted and tactically intelligent English players and even that isn't going to be a guarantee of success. Worrying about who is going to be England manager is as futile as worrying about which manager can lead Bolton to the Champions League final with no additional resources.

Still not a fan of the defending, it's not so much the frustration with conceding (although that is a factor too) it's that it has made scoring feel very cheap when playing online.

Hmm, about 20 games in (8 AI 12 Online) and if you want a spot on accurate sim of a boring Champions League group stage game you got it. Every game is just so samey, contain contain contain, cut out the ball and swap over. Slide tackling might as well just be taken out of the game altogether. The regular tackling actually works quite nicely once you get used to it but the defensive ai offers absolutely no cover if you get out of position and you WILL get out of position if you dare do anything other than stand in-front of your man and wait your turn for possession. As a result conceding can often feel cheap and scoring feels unsatisfying. Honestly I'm glad I held off and used the free trial option instead of the code for online. I'll give it a while longer but I can see myself getting rid as I am having absolutely no fun playing it. And don't get me wrong this isn't fifa bashing from a pro evo nut, I've played both demo's and despite massive improvements it's clear that franchise is still a ****, just less so than before.

Just had a look and so they have. Nice to know as I'm considering cancelling as it's not often I play online anyway. That's definitely what I took away from today's game. It's a big IF though.

Nzogbia has always been a patchy player. He is due a motd highlight reel blinder where he beats a team single-handed (and that performance will come) but then it will be back to what we have seen so far for 5-6 games while we wait for the next one. On his day he is a great player and will be a major factor in us gaining 3points in games where if it wasn't for him 3points would have seemed unlikely, ON HIS DAY. That's what he is, that's what he has to offer so stop getting all butthurt that he isn't living up to the ridiculous hype that was piled on him when he signed.
