If we keep Benteke then that will both be a huge statement and it will feel like a new signing. Then we need to give new contracts to Weimann, Westwood, Lowton and Guzan. If we keep these players then we should focus on getting a good CB in first and foremost. Then we can think about other positions.

I like the fact that if we win on Sunday and the other games go "after the book" then we will probably finish 11th. I'm shit scared of Wigan though and God help us if they somehow manage to win tomorrow. I put 5 pounds on them to win at Arsenal to give a return of 40 pounds. Facing Wigan at this time of year is like facing any of the top four. Remarkable how they always seem to save themselves. I for one wouldn't be surprised at all if they win vs Swansea tomorrow and get at least a point against Arsenal. Ridiculous team.

I hope they have learned from the fiasco after that Liverpool game that we need to be on our toes. Just been reading a Blackpool forum and they are praising Delfouneso for his work rate which apparently has really improved and he "always works his socks off and is the last man of the pitch applauding the fans". That's a bit of change IMO and maybe that season in the Championship is doing him some good. They do say though that he is far from the finished article but he certainly has the ability to do well. Regarding Bowery I like him. He's just taking his first steps in the Prem but he's got ability and being played out on the wing will stand him in good stead - he definitely has the build of a striker not a winger and that's where he will play in the future.

I've never been a fan of him but in recent months he's finally starting to show what he can do. I'm starting to like him and I'm sure he'll continue to play a big part in the team. That own goal was unlucky and nothing to say really. Maybe he should have scored with that chance he got or at least hit the target but not getting the three points yesterday wasn't down to him.

He'll be a key player in our midfield for the next few years. Incredible to think that he was in League 2 with Crewe last season. Extremely comfortable on the ball, rarely wastes a pass and always makes himself available. If we stay up and manage to keep Benteke, then we just need a good centre back and we've got a very good spine in the team; Guzan - CB - Westwood - Benteke.

Lets just hope he has one of his off days and hasn't promised Jol that he will score the winning goal! Massive game for us (well they all are now). Villa Park will be rocking with the good form we've been on. Three points and we can relax a bit, lose and it will go down the wire.
