Lucas oil also balances internally the 4 separate stands aesthetic. On HS2 where does it terminate north of Birmingham ? …

If he shows enough between now and the end of the season, we get champions league and is happy to stay and fight for a first team place I’d love him to sign.

Last league 5 games won 3 drawn one lost one and some people think we aren’t in the driving seat for fourth due to us not hitting the performances they’d expect whilst grinding out results…. ok

The Bernabeu redevelopment has set the standard for a true multi use stadia with its retractable pitch and roof .
-
As the mods don’t like chat regarding a new stadium in the redevelopment thread. Thought I’d start a new one for debate, ideas, locations for us who are open to relocating away from Villa Park. It’s a fantasy thread I know but keeps the other one for our current long term home. In order for any potential move to be financially viable I think it would need to meet the following criteria. To be a true 365 days a year multi use arena, capable of holding large concerts, England international and semi finals, boxing, major rugby games etc. Have a retractable pitch and roof. Located near a major public transport hub fit for purpose. Good access for vehicles still with onsite parking. ideally centrally located. design aesthetically befitting both internally & externally. Plenty of things to do nearby. Discuss

Attack is the best form of defence and West Ham only play well for short periods of games so makes sense to blow them away early doors and then let them have their normal 20 mins of playing well when the game is beyond them. Moyes somehow managed to be both shit and good manager at the same time

That is a site whilst bored I’ve thought could have potential though not sure of its earmarked for redevelopment or big enough.
-
The issue is there are no brownfield sites near enough to the city centre available and most importantly with the necessary transport links. I’ve been a staunch supporter of moving but only for the right site and design and not just for the sake of it . North Birmingham could be an option but due to the costs associated with moving think it’s a non starter and should develop Villa park and the area holistically over the next 10-20 years

Think he almost suffered for want of a better word playing alongside the dominant mings and has grown into a leader where before I think he deferred this responsibility. Not a slight on either player just think he was in the shadows a bit before but now is the main man.

IF we were to finish 4th and win the ECL and not inhibited by PSR does anyone believe we could attract a player of the calibre of Kvaratskhelia - or an other real top tier talent.

We could buy ourselves out of it but it would depend on being able to get a much better deal to make that worthwhile still … Sure Hatton & Heck are scouring the market for a top quality main sponsor to boost the coffers which should be somewhat easier with our current upward trajectory hopefully

Do you think it’s Heck and the club or the FA final approval process which is delaying this ? Or is this an excuse to bash Heck cause he cancelled your hallowed new north stand ?

If these new rules are so restrictive to growth and competition why would the 16 clubs required for it to be ratified vote for it ? -

One game - this self entitled mentality is a sad inditement of the modern football fan imo. The sky falls in after one bad result, toys thrown out the pram. Reality is we’re 4th in the hardest league in the world …

He was stupid and it was rash and made the referees decision for him IMO … You can argue personal opinion but in real speed it looks bad and he just shouldn’t have gone in like that.

Still plenty of the game left … chill and have faith and we are still ahead of them even if they do win … keep the faith

Given the I ineptitude of the local council and our last 2-3 owners before NSWE we are stuck at an ageing stadium which won’t be fit for purpose over the next decade etc. with little option left to move somewhere centrally. A brand new international class multi use stadia would’ve been the catalyst for major change and investment but they’ve squandered this opportunity somewhat and got left behind Manchester and will also start to fall behind other more progressive minded cities. No coherent master plan for the city with acres & acres of trading estates and shoddily built and designed apartments by greedy developers seem the go to rather than leading recreational and retail facilities.

They’ve gained planning permission for them … think it’s going to add just around 400 new hospitality places for them so could be a quick way to increase our hospitality numbers without losing regular seats. Wouldn’t look the best admittedly but being a temporary structure it could feed info the restaurant below …
