    So you would rather a stand further back from the pitch akin to the Olympic stadium / murrayfield just cause the Holte was built way past the touchline ? It would be an awful View from the last row of the top tier.

    I mean who would’nt be … it looks like a spaceship Back to the home of league football, Heck did say they were focusing on bettering the experience for all fans and not just one stand so you’d expect them all to be given an overhaul this summer. The cost of renovating all the concourses and redoing the corporate areas won’t come cheap, plus add in the warehouse, I think once we’ve upgraded these and maximised the income from them they’ll look again at the New North Stand and hopefully go bigger.

    Well just seen that them down the road plan on a 62k stadium … I wonder if we’ll do a spurs and ensure a redeveloped Villa park / new stadium trumps their capacity … They’ve a long way to go but importantly have the land and desire to go for it and this time perhaps the momentum. Not bothered what they do tbh but worth keeping an eye on for shits & giggles

    Precisely, they would earn a shit load more when they come to sell v.sports and not be on the hook for any incurred debt for building a new stadium. Forbes have us down as worth around £600million excluding v.sports other interests and that’s based on last season. I’d say double that with a brand spanking new stadium without putting any money towards it. It really is a no brainer when we are on a firmer self supporting level. Thats the key for me why it won’t happen anytime soon. They’ll want us to be profitable and build from there IMO so we can afford the debt repayment

Surely it is their jobs to relate info to the wider base if the club want to that is…

    I wonder if we can get what we paid or just under for Moreno if we’d also sell him & Digne. If we sign Hermoso he could cover LB as well and then we have Sousa as well. Can see Monchi wheeling & dealing this summer for sure. Exciting times !

    We’d be the perfect move for him at this age to continue his development. It’s very doubtful it’s true but him, Ollie and Duran with Rogers also is one hell of a forward line.

    Man Utd always thought they’d be the biggest club in Manchester and Citeh would always be the poor siblings … We shouldn’t be too arrogant and ignore their potential IMO just because historically we’re the bigger of the two clubs. That said also not fussed what they do as I’m only interested in AVFC and NSWE plans for us. We need to forget the heritage of Villa Park and do what’s best for the long term benefit of the club from a business POV and if that’s moving then so be it. Been going since 89 and those memories can never be taken away but times change and we must accept that and new memories will be forged.

    Well according to some on here there isn’t enough money to be made from having a state of the art multi purpose and fit for the 21st century stadium which can host multitude of events, oh and close to the city centre and with entertainment amenities surrounding it… i mean good luck to them I say… let’s stick to our awkward shaped site hemmed in by shitty houses with sub par spectator facilities and zero for fans to do before or after a game…

    Who cares what other teams do and hypothetical scenarios, just focus on the next game. Let’s just enjoy and trust Emery and we will finish where we deserve to finish to come seasons end.

    We recently seem to start slow-ish, weather the storm, and then raise our levels. I think it could be a tactic of Emery’s to mange this stage of the season. Why chase the game and waste energy.

    That’s why clubs will pas through the luxury tax or whatever shit abbreviation they’ll use then change. Better to pay a fine and keep our star players than sell someone we don’t really want to. That said we do need to get better at maximise our sales at the right time to reinvest as well as building our commercially income. Selling Ramsey who hasn’t been fit for most of this season to reinvest in say Nico Williams as an example could be considered good business and good for the bottom line however unpalatable that is for some. We sell Ramsey for £50mill buy Williams for £50mill that’s a book profit of £40 mill now football is run by accountants.

    Just read UTD are interested in Nice’s LB Melvin Bard - weren’t they interested in Digne previously - attack minded left back so maybe we could negotiate a Digne or Moreno plus £££ deal for him.

    Shame we couldn’t grab another goal back to keep the status quo in terms of GD. We move on and go again at the weekend which was always a more defining fixture. Even our best 11 could've been ripped apart by Citeh so no shame tonight.
