  1. Lille have Leny Yoro -18, Ajax have Jorrel Hato - 17, Rico Lewis Citeh - 18 … Plenty of other examples of players who were playing regular 1st team football at 18 for big clubs … It’s not the age it’s are you good enough …
  2. I’ll try and dig it out as I’m sure I read they looked at it but would cost close to a billion… Maybe it was on MOMs or something perhaps
  3. Brian little famously said he wasn’t going to leave Leicester to manage Villa only to join a day or two later … Who knows what’s being discussed behind closed doors & corridors of power. NSWE looked at moving reportedly when they first purchased the club and maybe it is something with our new partners whose parent company specialise in the field may look at again.
  4. The government money would surely be to revitalise the surrounding area making it a more attractive option to build a new stadium to banks and institutions to loan the money with the stadium being the catalyst and central focal point for massive regeneration. We would need to build near the HS2 line so people utilise public transport and park at the NEC for example and not rely on roads to get to and from.
  5. Real Madrid’s renovation of the Bernabeu is the standard bearer of a multi use stadium with its retractable pitch & roof. Concerts can held all year round, trade shows, boxing etc etc etc. events which will bypass Birmingham if it’s not careful considering Manchester will have two x20k indoor arenas, The Ethihad and poss new Old Trafford. London is London. Birmingham needs to keep up or will get lost. The economic benefits to Birmingham having a world class stadium near the city centre drawing events in all year round would be worth millions extra to the local economy… If we don’t act that lot down the road might and get not only the councils backing but also government with its levelling up fund. Manchester will become England’s second city if this goes ahead - with government backing… https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68361025
  6. Shame so much land is taken over by large logistics warehouses around Fort Dunlop and the like… Also as I’ve said before hypothetically if we were to move to a new stadium, aesthetically I’d like us to use the Lucas Oil stadium as a blueprint. It has a connected lower bowl but then also the 4 separate stand identity with a red brick exterior.
  7. Just announced £1.9billion pound masterplan by Lendlease … Perfect site though and a real missed opportunity
  8. Not on its own no big with the surrounding parkland etc … anyhow just pure fantasy
  9. Shame we cannot just buy the NIA and build a retractable roof / pitch multi-use stadia… If we were in America it would be a no brainer solution… Fantasy I know !
  10. So the Gerrard debacle has cost us royally in terms of FFP - cheers Christian you bellend. Buying him out of his contract, wages and then payoff cost us a ridiculous amount. Also splurging a ridiculous sum on Critchley to replace Beale then firing him a few months later. And then Digne on £160k pw… Coutihno was worth the gamble IMO and took one hell of a pay cut to join us so will forgive that move. I also guess paying Purslow off, hiring Heck & Monchi also has cost us millions. Still cannot see how we could’ve lost £138million though

    The NSWE Board

Keep reading we’ve downgraded from Villa Live to the warehouse when in reality the capacity of both is the same of circa 3000 … only thing missing is the interactive museum part of Villa Live which IMO isn’t a huge loss right now tbh. Club shop is doubling in size this summer. Villa Live was a nice idea but reality is imo we are better served going down the route we are.
  12. You make the same point multiple times per day tbf… it becomes tiresome tbh. Your views and stance are just as valid as mine but respectfully I can also challenge these and its the regurgitation of the same point over and over without substance to back it up which I’m commenting on.
  13. Yep and due to his penny pinching and lack of forward planning we’re paying for it now so not sure of your point other than bemoan for the thousandth time your not getting a new north stand
  14. Who are these current staff that these supposedly reputable people have spoken to ? Big deal that self publicising Ty Bracey knows some people within the corridors of VP that back up the allegations. Nothing to show the person(s) he’s spoken to are not part of the problem and feel aggrieved. Fact is Heck was in London yesterday which says more than anything IMO. Any credible malpractice allegations he’d be suspended pending formal external investigations. Also not one media outlet has run with it and it’s pretty **** big news. The longer the club stay silent the more obvious to me it’s a load of BS by some disgruntled underperforming staff who rather than formally raise this chose Twitter anonymously to spout what appears to be unsustainable lies to smear Heck & Hatton.
  15. Don’t think he’d be overtly involved but maybe whispering and stoking in the shadows. As I said pretty damming article about both from the Independent. Is Paul Tyrell still a Villa employee ?
  16. After doing some reading on the matter he may be right…. Heck & Hatton would’ve been suspended by now if there was any evidence to back out the allegations IMO. Does read like an ego driven smear campaign. Purslow was getting demoted which would’ve hurt him. If the club & media silence continues then think we can assume it’s a lot of false allegations by a wounded minority.
  17. No chance we will look to extend the Trinity Road stand by squaring off the upper tier as the build costs would be huge for limited return and by nature these seats would be the least desirable. Maybe 30-50 years from now if we’re still locked into Villa park perhaps they look to add another tier like at Man Utd to the stand / rebuild completely. We had permission to extend part of the trinity highlighted to extend the corporate areas but this was dropped with the updated plans for the new North Stand for some reason.
  18. So are you now thinking our seasons isn’t a write off due to our lack of January business which according to you last week it was ?
  19. So club still quiet and no one has been suspended given the serious nature of the allegations you’d expect action to have been taken by now surley ?!
  20. I’m sure NSWE will act with haste if required and also speak out on the matter sooner than later. Based on reports Heck was picked out by Edens who would’ve done full due diligence so it is surprising and with the nature of this I’m gunna give it a few more days before forming an opinion on the matter.
  21. The first … Cannot see us paying £80 mill release clause and unsure if he’s worth that outlay for us - great player but too much £££ and too high a risk
  22. Our name has been thrown in with others as looking at Paqueta in the summer
  23. Also why would the NEC support the development of a rival multi use entertainment venue on their doorstep.
  24. @burchy Joao Neves will cost close to €100mill so scrap that name sadly… Cannot see Citeh parting with Perrone and Redondo is off to Inter Miami so two other ones to cross off.
