  1. In terms of the north stand they could copy Forest and build on top of the Corner flag lounge with shipping containers as a quick and relatively cheap way of adding more hospitality.
  2. Do we expect they will be going ahead with the trinity road halfway lounge and that it will get a sponsor? From the accounts I expect a lot more branding in and around the stadium.
  3. Technique wise most definitely. Ajax though poor of late are not some shite European opposition we should just steamroller regardless of their league position this season.
  4. Villa park meets uefa’s criteria as is so why would we lose hosting games ? Old Trafford was t selected as they couldn’t promise availability dependent of works to upgrade the stadium and wasn’t due to the date of the facilities.
  5. How do these people who buy an extra couple of pints get home safely ? No way the current set up supports fans travelling by public transport and will be reliant on cars…
  6. Do you real think they care if you or I go or don’t go ? We are replaceable as per the season ticket waiting list. I wish we’d follow the German model whereby fans have a real day in the running of their clubs but we don’t and it’s way too late for that sadly. I want to feel my voice is heard but do I think they really care - no. The highly paid experts in their field will do what they thinks best for the club and sometimes that will piss fans off. It’s not right but it’s business
  7. Like it or not modern football dictates that local fans especially are dispensable to some degree and it’s all about global reach, maximising revenues and there will away be someone to take your place if you don’t decide to go etc. it sucks for sure but let’s be realistic here that it’s big business and big corporations do what they feel is best with little regard for the consumers thoughts on most levels and fan engagement is just lip service and as you cannot please everyone which can lead to unnecessary compromises to appease. Gone are the days the voices of us matter it’s about our £££ that’s what the club wants not our opinions.
  8. Used to like him but now he believes his own self prescribed hype and is self promoting and seeking. Plenty of others have knowledge from inside the club I’m sure but he chooses to do what serves him best IMO with it
  9. Good … Fan engagement should be kept to a minimum yet treated with consideration and respect it rightly deserves. And it’s true if you don’t like what the club are doing then you don’t need to go, spend money etc or do but it’s inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.
  10. So am I correct in thinking that even though the costs of the Brookvale academy development do not count towards the calculations it can be deducted along with expenditure on women’s football and stadium improvements to reduce our losses in terms of compliance?
  11. Interesting that we dispute the claim by uefa we lost £138million and that losses although big aren’t that number …
  12. Meant Birmingham vs London as we will never be able to attract London prices for our top hospitality packages.
  13. Can see The Terrace View and Trinity Road lounge towers becoming branded given the visibility of the premier league world wide and prominent positions on camera. Can also see them entering a partnership with say for example BrewDog with the warehouse bar area once completed.
  14. IF we were to sell Dougie for close to £100mill then would say buying Morten Hjulmand or Martín Zubimendi and curve ball Jorginho on a free weaken or strengthen us ? Selling a top quality player isn’t the end of the world if the replacement(s) are of a similar standard. We shouldn’t be afraid to wheel and deal with the infrastructure we now have in place, if it makes us stronger overall.
  15. Just read an article that Spurs matchday income went from just under £1mill per game to close to £6 mill … Doesn’t include obviously concerts, NFL, etc … https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/building-tottenham-hotspur-stadium-12bn-28736582 We wouldn’t get such a bump due to locality but would still expect a hefty rise if we were to move. Sticking at Villa Park will hinder us as the years pass - simples
  16. I’m not afraid to sell one of our first XI to re-invest in the team as long as it doesn’t become the norm. We have a structure now whereby I trust the process and if they feel it’s the right move then so be it.
  17. Leeds Utd are 16th in the WORLD for shirt sales… Sobering and shows how far we need to go https://www.leedsallover.com/revealed-leeds-united-making-30m-from-shirt-sales-more-than-aston-villa-and-newcastle-united/
  18. I think that if we manage to maintain a sustained period of competitiveness & growth then the topic of a new stadium will IMO become pertinent. Now it’s just pie in the sky fantasy. Fighting to be at the top of the table regularly would make a compelling business argument whereas, currently we the numbers just wouldn’t stack up.
  19. Alan Varela latest clickbait rumour for DM with our scouts at the Porto vs Arsenal game recently …
  20. So we’ve got arrangements with clubs in Spain, Portugal, potentially Algeria, Japan, Egypt, Senagals largest academy, potentially Sweden as well as the Ivory Coast … exciting pipeline of talent could over the next decade!
  21. Kane could be a a available in the summer
  22. https://kessiya.com/football-partenariat-en-vue-entre-lasec-mimosas-et-aston-villa/amp/ Senegal and now Ivory Coast…
