  1. True but that 2011 was a bleeding good team aswell, David Villa was a fantastic scorer in his own right and had Xavi pulling the strings in midfield. I only mention Bendtner as I'm pretty sure he missed an open goal 5 minutes from end which would've put Arsenal through. I think the problem for Arsenal is how strong or not they'll be in midfield. Cazorla will be out for both times, Coquelin may make it back but will be lacking fitness. Ozil + Sanchez + Walcott if they're all fit will create chances against Barca's defence.
  2. I only said it as last World cup England Italy was going to kick off at 2am and got moved forward to 11pm and changed with Ivory Coast and someone. Anyway appears it's set as 2pm now so looks like there's an unofficial bank holiday day in June.

    Chelsea

The Physio stuff upset the players big time, before they'd have run through brick walls for Mourinho, now not so much. Small margins like that turn those expert 1-0 wins Chelsea specialize in into draws and narrow defeats.
  4. Barca don't tend to travel well to me, they only drew 1-1 in Roma and Leverkusen. O.k Leverkusen was dead game but Messi was still playing in it. When was the last time they actually won in England in a knock out game? Trend for this tie in recent times has been score draw at Emirates and Barca comfortably win at Camp Nou so would imagine the same here. I still remember Arsenal really should've knocked them out in 2011, they had Bendtner upfront in those days.
  5. That would be one of the greatest comebacks of all time, Chelsea now a full 20 points off Leicester, 21 if you add goal difference, that is monumental gap imo. I know Man. United eroded Newcastle 12 point gap in the mid 90s but didn't they have about 3 games in hand on them or was that Arsenal another season?
  6. Their fans wouldn't want him, he'd be a hiding onto nothing there early on if he did his 6 month goal drought routine.
  7. Grealish was best player on pitch by a mile second half v SHA. Ayew was very good aswell albeit I don't expect him to stay if we go down.
  8. I don't mind him but judging from a lot of the comments on this thread he is overrated and certainly not our saviour. He started the Everton and Watford games and did very little so I don't have an issue with him being benched. I think he's best in small doses, he does alright when he comes on as sub.
  9. He'd play him as wide player I'd suggest like he has here for most of the past 4 years here. I just can't see him moving to WBA though. If Pulis was still at Stoke or even Palace, certainly.
  10. Pulis has always rated him and indeed West Brom signed Anchiebe for 6m who's been pretty useless for them so I think we could possibly get 3-4m for him. As much as I've been a fan of him over the years he's outstayed his welcome here and wouldn't do anything for us in the championship imo so think moving him on is the correct decision from Garde.
  11. Best player at Leicester scores yet another goal.
  12. Disagree Huth has been an excellent signing, was also underrated at Stoke. Yes he has his limitations but we could do with someone like that at the back. Costa is truly insane if he tries to pick a fight with Huth or Morgan.
  13. Interestingly a lot of our misfits are ending up at Derby nowadays....Bent, Weimann, Warnock and Carson all play for them now (and will probably be playing premier league football next season). I wonder what sort of wage deal Derby are paying Darren Bent, could they do a similar deal for Gabby?
  14. As expect British TV wants it moved to 5pm or ideally 8pm, I expect it to happen.
  15. I know I pity those who still bet on us to win games.......oh.
  16. Probably says a lot about the sorry state of our team but there's about 7 performing worse than him atm.
  17. They do it all the time in the Bundesliga.
  18. A club captain who can't even make the 18 of a team with 6 points and bottom of the league. Think about that for a second. He should be stripped of his role for a start and wouldn't shock me at all if we sold him in January. At least with relegation let's make sure we weed out the stale players.
  19. Tbf if you ever watch the Bundesliga review on a Monday night it's something all teams do if they don't lose the game. Not sure it will catch on overhere though as the connection between team and fans has been eroded last 20 years with all the money.
  20. If you look at Bournemouth I thought they'd be f***ed when Calum Wilson got injured. Yet Howe has astutely restructed their forward line and tactics. You've got someone like Josh King who's scored a few recently. Pretty sure he only got 4 for Blackburn last season. Gestede got 20 +. Yet who looks out of his depth at prem level?
  21. And there was me thinking I blinked too early at 50/1 when it went up to 66 a few minutes later....
  22. As others have said him and Benteke as a duo would've been excellent, we should've signed that type of forward instead of Kozak a few years back.
  23. His positioning is poor, frequently wingers get infront of him and with the quality of Walcott that costs us a goal. I don't blame him for the own goals, Chelsea one was dead unlucky and the Watford one flies past the post if we're in the top 6. He's a bog standard player but whether people like it or not he's the type we'll need next season, the matches down there will be scraps particularly the local ones.
