  1. Yeah 31.48/1 is what I get on Bet 365. Could be worth a fiver but then again I don't really like betting on lunchtime games if doing an acca/treble, like to keep the suspense going past 3pm.
  2. What is the treble for Norwich, Bournemouth and Sunderland all winning today, would imagine it would be crazy odds and doubt it would happen but they're all at home and this is a great time to play Man. United for example.
  3. F*** sake, Stones injured in Warm up so won't play, big boost for Norwich that. They'll be goals in his one.
  4. Him v Arsenal's pace and movement tomorrow is a horrible thought.
  5. Yeah he went on loan to Oxford, did well there so Wolves called him back early and now put him in the first team where he seems to be doing well. Wrong forum though....
  6. I think we'll get lucky with Amavi. Can't see anyone buying him until he gets fit and proves his fitness. If the injury hasn't killed his pace he'll be a great asset until January. Yeah they might all have 5 year deals but as we saw with who we lost in the summer I imagine the release clauses will kick in nicely in the event of relegation.
  7. Not far off I'd say. At worst two draws v Norwich and Sunderland just so they don't pull even further clear of us and 4 points from West Ham and Newcastle. Even that massive upturn only leaves us on 12 points. We really need to be not far off 20 points after the West Brom game to even stand a chance. Not very likely based on present form but that's what we're going need.
  8. You say that but in the summer we beat Stoke and Leicester to players so we must've been doing something right despite coming off the back of a 17th finish.
  9. Another team will easily pick him up in the summer if he scores 10 goals in this league. He's certainly one I'm not expecting to be around next year if the worst happens.
  10. Can't see us even hitting 30 points this season, 28 points and 8 off survival.
  11. Both collapses happened away. They're usually very strong at home against English teams.
  12. Actually ain't that the truth. Nail massively on the head there. Paul Lambert lasted a year more here than Monk did.
  13. It was good enough last season. I think Ki-Sheley-Sigurdsson is as balanced a midfield trio as it comes outside the top 6. The problem here is Glyfi has done jack all apart from his free kick since us in the last two months and they've been playing Leon Britton who was good in the first couple of years but is past it now as a starter. Yeah Montero was getting well overrated at the start of the season, I'm with you on that one. That and I've never been a huge fan of Gomis but he did a good job of covering Bony leaving but now the goals have dried up and they don't have anyone else other than Ayew to chip in with goals upfront.
  14. What people need to remember is their sleeping routines and next day would've been messed up as a result e.g. they get back to the airport at 2-3am, then have to go to the training ground, then drive back so before you know it it's 4am and you're sleeping most of the day. That said footballers are so used to travelling to South America and Asia and back 3-4 hours from Greece won't make a huge difference. That and the extra day of Sunday probably negates this, we could've done with it being early kick off on the Saturday.
  15. Come on N'zogbia's played more minutes than him in the last month, Sinclair starts game after game doing naff all, Gabby will probably be given a start on Sunday and hailed yet again as a saviour when we all know what the end result of that declaration will be. He deserves a chance and some starts over xmas as guess what we need to win some bleeding games. gharperr I never said play him directly upfront, in the 4-3-3 play him in the wide right position which is where he is playing....Ayew on the left and errrr......what's Carew up to nowadays.
  16. West Ham has to be a win surely. They'll struggle to even field a 11 with all the injuries they're getting currently and we beat them end of last season with Sherwood. If we can't get 4 points off them and Newcastle you might aswell close us down for the second half of the season.
  17. Relegation would be an ideal time to move him on I think. Yeah he'll give the usual interview of sticking with us through thick and thin and being the man to fire us back to the premier league but his demise sums up our last 5 years from what he was during the MON era so I wouldn't back him to do much at championship level.
  18. It does seem there's more harsher standards being applied to judge Adama than say Sinclair, Gil, Rudy and all their woeful contributions game in game out atm. To me he's the obvious player in our squad who could spark us off with a moment of inspiration in the game. I say give him a run of starts over xmas and see if he can do anything, we'll be playing some slow teams like Norwich, Sunderland and Newcastle so I'm hopeful. If people are worried about his lack of defensive contributions I say this...play him just off the main striker and also bring in Bacuna to tuck into the midfield area so he can cover a bit or is that tactic too revolutionary? Ayew Traore Veretout Gana Bacuna Sanchez
  19. He should be coming on as a sub at least. He certainly can poached goals. Couple of times v Watford a corner and few crosses rolled along the 6 yard box and no one read it so I don't really see a poacher amongst the strikers we play. Ayew is currently best performing but he does his best work outside the box.
  20. Just with his pace Walcott will score 10-15 this season, mainly against lower half teams. Welbeck I don't think is good enough to lead the line for a major club so he'll either have to drop down to Stoke-Everton level or accept playing as a defensive wide forward is as good as it will get at a top 4 team. They certainly need to pick up a midfielder in January with coq out until Feb and Cazorla probably out for most of the season, they are very light in there atm although probably a loan, Kim Kallstrom again would be amusing.
  21. Used to be a massive fan of this show but last series I really enjoyed was 2010, been going downhill for last 5 years. This one tonight, no orders at all. Is that the first time it's ever happened neither team has had an order, normally one team gets a sympathy placing of orders at least even if the products are woeful.
  22. Nah don' think that's a great result for us at all (I really this is probably a futile point as Arsenal will probably batter us regardless just like they did last season). Would've been better for us if Arsenal had been knocked out tonight...they're the sort of team that go into depression for a few weeks after a bad result. However glorious progression, Giroud hat trick, comfortable 1-3 win for them on Sunday.
  23. Quite a nice analogy that Rev but you really think all they need to win a league is to sign another striker. There is no chance of that happening and I'll tell you why, Wellbeck will come back around that time and Wenger will look at it and say he has three out and out forwards competing for one place. Surely Arsenal need more at DM? They won't be winning the league with Matthieu Flamini or Arteta playing regularly and Wilshere is very unproven playing DM at premier league level. I was amazed they never signed Schnderlien this summer, thought he would've been a perfect fit and you could've rotated him and Coquelin or even just played both together. I also think they're weak at the back when Koscienly gets injured. Those two areas to me are more sore points in their team than signing another striker who might not even fit into their style of play. I think Man. City and Bony showed the simplicity of that argument....Oh look Man. City signing a 20 goal prem striker....5 goals a year later...
  24. Walcott's been playing regularly upfront this season before injury, him and Giroud will rotate over xmas. I've always thought it's a lazy statement from press and pundits to say Arsenal need a new striker...Arsenal score plenty of goals season in season out, their style of play dictate they'll cut plenty of teams apart through a season like tonight, like at Swansea, like v us yet again etc. No what Arsenal lack is mentality, the killer instinct, any sort of proper back up to Coquelin (we'll see how Flamini and Chambers get on v Man. City), some of those things money can't buy, more than a new striker. I wish them well though, there are plenty of other teams I can't stand before we get to Arsenal.
  25. Yeah fair play to em..... I think Giroud is underrated tbf. Yes his touch isn't world class and he dosen't have much pace but he knows the positions to take from crosses and his goalscoring record is very very good for them, comparable to a fair few forwards they've had who are held in higher esteem.
