  1. Looks suicidal on the Wolves forum, 99% want Jackett out when I think he's done a very good job there over last few years. Like us they haven't replaced well....last season Sako-Dicko-Afobe was ripping defences apart. Sako hasn't been replaced, Dicko was lost to a season ending injury and Afobe isn't as good without those two occupying defences. And they somehow thought the solutino was getting Grant Holt on loan!!
  2. You'd think Ireland would go with Walters and Long upfront....a more hardworking front two you couldn't find in Football.
  3. Aye...if Gestede can score 20 + down there. Way I see it you need a solid battle hardened defence and midfield and loads of pace and that should get you near the top.
  4. They just need to win the two home games and they'll probably be top, it's a bad day at the office and they happen, especially in the xmas period when players are dead on their feet. Looking at it they'll have to aswell as afterwards they have back to back away games at Liverpool and Stoke and then home to Chelsea who might have picked up by then so if there's going to be an Arsenal slump in the league it will be during that period.
  5. Southampton nicely winning me a lot of money very quickly.
  6. He was better in August. I do feel he's starting to get back to that level now. Still think he feels he's playing in France as he takes just that split second too long on the ball which means he gets tackled or his passing gets cut out.
  7. 5 Live said possible foul although probably balanced out offside goal a few minutes before.
  8. Southampton have been out of form but they still have lots of quality in Mane and Wanyama.
  9. Bad result for Arsenal but they have got Bournemouth and Newcastle back to back home games while Man. City have got Leicester and Watford away without Kompany so all is not lost.
  10. 2-0, Long thinks Arsenal are wearing claret and blue shirts. In fairness he's given the Arsenal back 4 a torrid time, always been an underrated striker in my book.
  11. Maybe but we'll have months to prepare while Newcastle could be last day. Or you could spin it Newcastle with half their squad from France would be totally unprepared for championship football while a yo yo team like Norwich would be with their squad, probably Bournemouth aswell. Let's have another high profile media team to go down to share the embarrassment.
  12. Where did they get this Cuco bloke from, haven't seen his name in any of their line ups this season.
  13. Yeah that's true but tbf I look at Swansea away, Norwich home and away, Southampton, Bournemouth and Newcastle at home as all games we need to win although we're running out of those even now. I'd group Palace and Leicester in the Watford category, games that looked good on paper to win in August but once you play them you see why they're so high in the table. Draws at best.
  14. Last time I looked we're playing top of league Leicester and Palace who are amazing away from home in our next 7.
  15. His touch was well off today. He played centrally for a lot of it aswell which is what people were demanding. He is certainly overrated if people are calling him our best player, the man most likely to keep us up. Unless Jordan Ayew's name is changing to Gil in the word filter that's very wrong.
  16. As limited as he is in this league, we'll need him next year. One year left on his deal, 31, can't see who'll sign him.
  17. Cleverley you f***ing beauty! (I want Newcastle down with us).
  18. Aye the problem is finding two other teams to finish above though. Few weeks back I thought Bournemouth would finish bottom....they've flown away into the distance. Then I thought maybe Newcastle were catchable and then they beat Liverpool and Spurs back-to-back. Then Norwich....who go and win at Man United.
  19. Good point on the touches, his hold up play was miles better today than whenever I've seen him live before. That said he should've got one of those two headers on target.
  20. Let's just hope there isn't some ridiculous relegation release clause in his deal. Either we keep him and he leads our fightback with 20 + goals or we sell him for 15m + and we rebuild with those funds as you certainly don't need to be spending 50m to be competitive in the championship.
  21. If you had to pick the venues for the next two away games, Sunderland and Norwich would be it. O.k not for the travelling fans (they should get a free ticket to the Palace game if anyone is doing both) but we always win at Sunderland and we've also done very well at Norwich last few years although that could be just down to Lambert being fired up on his returns. We need 4 points as a minimum, probably get 2 and the slow death will continue.
  22. He was poor last season but this season that's a massive blow. Look at the defensive stats for Man. City when he does play to when he dosen't, Mangala and Otamendi were a comedy duo v Liverpool and Arsenal. They will start dropping points again, probably starting at Leicester on Tuesday.
  23. Big player for us next season. Will lead the fightback.
  24. Amavi would've been excellent in this system imo, you saw at times today the space Bacuna had to run into but no left foot. Only consolation of Amavi's injury is we should keep him until January and he will rip up the championship with his pace imo.....if it's still there.
