  1. Would imagine the various management teams we have are concluding his body simply isn't up to premier league football and the intensity it has particularly with the injuries he keeps on picking up in training after two serious ones hence he dosen't get a sniff. Think he needs a fresh start somewhere else, he'll make a good career lower down no doubt.
  2. Diame from Hull anyone? Surprised no one picked him up in the summer which suggests he must be on a very decent wage there given Hull tempted him from London. Always rated him anyway, was injured for second half of last season which was a factor in Hull going down.
  3. I don't think we'd be that much higher in the league tbh, still serious weaknesses at both ends of our team even though we did play well for 70 minutes that day. Think we'd be on 17-18 points just outside the bottom 3 and Sherwood clinging to his job which is still preferable to what we have now obviously.
  4. Now Watford are pratically safe send them Garde to grind out draws for the second half of the season and let's see Quique work some magic in the second half for us.... Or Lerner will have a case of mistaken identity and hire Phil Brown instead....
  5. Wagner scored today so it's 4 goals in god knows how many appearances now.
  6. It's interesting when people say the big difference between them and us is last season they were at least scoring goals. They weren't actually: This is their run from Mid September to Mid March: Sa 27Sep 2014 C Palace 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 04Oct 2014 Leicester 2 - 2 Burnley D PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 18Oct 2014 Newcastle 1 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 25Oct 2014 Swansea 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 01Nov 2014 Leicester 0 - 1 West Brom L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 08Nov 2014 Southampton 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 22Nov 2014 Leicester 0 - 0 Sunderland D PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 29Nov 2014 QPR 3 - 2 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Tu 02Dec 2014 Leicester 1 - 3 Liverpool L PREMIER LEAGUE Su 07Dec 2014 Aston Villa 2 - 1 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 13Dec 2014 Leicester 0 - 1 Man City L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 20Dec 2014 West Ham 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Fr 26Dec 2014 Leicester 1 - 2 Tottenham L PREMIER LEAGUE Su 28Dec 2014 Hull 0 - 1 Leicester W PREMIER LEAGUE Th 01Jan 2015 Liverpool 2 - 2 Leicester D ENGLISH FA CUP Sa 03Jan 2015 Leicester 1 - 0 Newcastle W PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 10Jan 2015 Leicester 1 - 0 Aston Villa W PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 17Jan 2015 Leicester 0 - 1 Stoke L ENGLISH FA CUP Sa 24Jan 2015 Tottenham 1 - 2 Leicester W PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 31Jan 2015 Man Utd 3 - 1 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 07Feb 2015 Leicester 0 - 1 C Palace L PREMIER LEAGUE Tu 10Feb 2015 Arsenal 2 - 1 Leicester L ENGLISH FA CUP Su 15Feb 2015 Aston Villa 2 - 1 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Su 22Feb 2015 Everton 2 - 2 Leicester D PREMIER LEAGUE We 04Mar 2015 Man City 2 - 0 Leicester L PREMIER LEAGUE Sa 14Mar 2015 Leicester 0 - 0 Hull They scored more than 1 goal in just 5 games and a couple of those were cups. Their premier league record over a 6 month period was: P22 W2 D5 L15 The only thing I can say looking at that is they at least start picking up some results over the xmas period (4 points at Hull and Liverpool and then beat us) so we really need to be doing that now.
  7. What a remarkable job he's done there, in fairness it shouldn't be a shock given his CV but he did go off the radar for a few years. Probably my favourite manager in the premier league...probably just for this. The man has a touch of class. (Go to 4:40)
  8. Nice stadium but not a penny of mine going to that fraud of a club.
  9. Just watching Sociedad-Villareal and Agirretxe is a strong physical forward, 12 goals in La Liga so far this season.
  10. Surely luck is De Jong missing an open goal at 1-0 last night. We wouldn't come back from 2 down that's for sure. You could also argue Man. City players missing open goals against us a few weeks back. The difference is we're not good enough to capitalise on opponents missing easy chances against us and kicking on and winning games against them. I suppose the only break we never seem to get is an opponent doing a ridiculous tackle and getting sent off early in the game like Bournemouth benefited from yesterday. When was the last time we faced 10 men for a decent chunk of a game?
  11. Someone like Kisseling would be good...never been quite top class but always been a consistant scorer...talk of him moving on from Leverkusen with Hernandez amazing scoring (and I remember in the summer plenty of people on here turning their noses up at him!)
  12. Think we'll put a run together but it will be far too late. Wouldn't shock me if we won Bournemouth and Newcastle home games near the end of season, maybe Southampton aswell but we'd have left it far too late then.
  13. Yeah their last chance to get serious money for him was summer 2013 when Chelsea wanted him. I think now there's talk of Chinese clubs being interested. In fairness they do pay decent transfer fees but I think he'll just stay and retire at Man. United or maybe play a farewell season at Everton.
  14. Still think he's a bit lightweight but he can pass and blimey it's pretty good to have a player who can actually hit corners and free kicks in properly given those rubbish floated corners we've had to suffer for years from Westwood.
  15. The problem with other teams winning and something that is being missed is the marker to stay up will start to rise. A few weeks back some were arguing 34-35 points would be enough, I've personally always thought 38 points is the marker as that got us safe last season and also in the lambert seasons. However with Norwich, Newcastle and Bournemouth regularly picking up points with still half the season to go you could easily be looking at 40 points as those teams only need another 20 odd to reach it and that's not that many, 5 wins 5 draws etc. Our task is monumental, I just can't see how we'll even come close to getting another 30 points this season. It requires winning lots of games in half a season and we're just not good enough at both ends of the pitch. I want to see us going down fighting at least though, at least we showed some spirit in the second half and didn't just accept another defeat.
  16. I can only think today Garde reckoned he won't fancy it in those conditions. That said if we're drawing 1-1 with West Ham we have to get him on the pitch, we need to attempt to win some games ffs.
  17. I bet you thought he'll score a hat-trick v Wycombe (two penalties and one tap in) and some on here will be saying he's the man to save us in the second half of the season. He does have that air of a flat track bully to me anyway.
  18. This lot are insane. You get the feeling even if they played Vardy and Mahrez against 11 players they'd still get a result.
  19. It would be the same if Capello ever came and managed in the prem, won so much in last 20 years but managing England and Russia showed he was starting to get out of touch. Football overtakes even the most succesful managers. To me the issue with LVG is poor squad management in the summer. Yes for various reasons Falcao, Hernandez and RVP all needed to be sold but where was the experienced striker to complement Rooney as so far this season too much has been gambled on Rooney scoring 25 goals and he just dosen't look capable of that anymore. Think they're crying out for a world class CB next to Smalling aswell. I was saying this in the summer so it's not a knee jerk reaction based on this poor form.
  20. He really puts some of our homegrown players to shame dosen't he? The first good signs to me were the SHA cup game when he was excellent in the second half. He really got how much that game meant to the fans and played accordingly. Just shows you what a **** up not getting a decent centre forward was in the summer. If we had a Charlie Austin type who could goal poach around the 6 yard box with Ayew just off him I'd be confident about the second half of the season.
  21. Well I implied your comment as Sinclair is shite and shouldn't be playing (which I wholeheartedly agree with) yet then bizarrely suggest N'zogbia as a replacement. CNZ is a Villa player in name only now, Garde as said as much so I personally ain't going to be wasting any more talking about him as he's been a waste of time for 99% of his time. I'd rather give support to players like Adama who just needs a decent chance rather than people like CNZ who have had too many chances.
  22. Got very lucky at the end, so easily Sissoko drifted past him.
  23. Comparing him to a player who Garde announced has no future at the club rather than Adama......?
