  1. He's still on our books - only out on loan
  2. A real shame how much his progress has dipped over the last 12/24 months. Prior to this I had him as the jewel in the crown of the current crop of 'young uns'. He seemed to have the lot.
  3. He will be a kid trying to find his feet in the division. To expect anything else would be nonsensical and unfair.
  4. He had better brush up on his Spanish then!
  5. You definitely know your comics Chindie!
  6. Well theres a glass half full answer Destro.... As in Destro from Action Force? Wonder if Skeletor is in it?
  7. I feel sorry for anyone who saw Star Wars as their first film. As a kid, whether you liked it or not, its a spectacle thats hard to top!

I'd absolutely love to compete, but that might sound a bit arrogant at this stage. Fitness is what its all about, if you havnt got it in bucket loads then you had better have a hell of a punch. I have trained with a few MMA lads and they put everyone to shame.

No chance, still box office in the division. I still cant make up my mind whether he really is a dick or its just clever marketing. Either way he sells his fights secondly only to Sonnen.
  10. Well i didnt say he was worth the 5 year contract. The fact is he did keep us up last year and going down would have been a disaster. Your right i dont know how another keeper would have done, but they would have had to been extremly good. Im not being speculative as he did keep us up. You are and he didn't. I get the feeling you dont like Given The fact is he was our outstanding player that year, and another fact was that we were very close to relegation. So the conclusion that without him we may have been relegated can not be ruled out!
  11. Hindsight and all that! I cant remember many people saying this at the time....or indeed anytime during that first year. Then without meaning to be rude your memory is letting you down because there were a far few on here saying it. Wouldnt be the first time However that line has been taken slightly out of context. What I meant was he may have not come here had we not offered him such a contract, and everyone seemed quite happy we got him at the time!
  12. Hindsight and all that! I cant remember many people saying this at the time....or indeed anytime during that first year. He benefited from an age defying Friedel, giving the club a rose tinted view of 40 year old keepers, along with the fact he was one of the most sought after in the division. The wages were too high but we simply would not have got him had they not been offered, then who would we have got with THAT MANS scouting network? The truth is he had a fantastic year for us that should have resulted in him being awarded POTY. Its such a pivotal position that if you take that on board there is an argument that we could have gone down without him. Im like pretty much everyone else that I can see now what a cock up it was now, but to blame Learner for his decision at the time is simply wrong.
  13. Good signing at the time but now is the right time to let him go. Its a shame the Irish trio could not replicate the success (or effort) of their 90's counterparts.
  14. Superman 4...I think it was that one. (The one with Nuclear man or whatever his name was)
  15. Alan curbishley? Rory Delap? Thom Yorke? Scuba Steve?
  16. Hmmmm........ suspiciously like agent talk!
  17. Would have loved it to be Sunderland, but I dont think my heart could have taken Saturday if Wigan had won tonight!
  18. No Rocksteady....uh oh!
  19. Being linked with Fulham today. I think that could be a good fit for him, playing alongside Berbatov.
  20. Agreed, if everything goes our way tonight Id love to see what he can offer in his normal position.
