Well I dont know what really happened, only what I read and hear. True he was offered a massive increase, but if you think it would have been more than Chelsea would have offered I would guess you would be mistaken.

Why not? Because they are not experienced enough to carry that weight of expectation yet. This also assumes that they are as good as they appeared to be during the last few months of the year, which in the case of Sturridge is questionable.

And what if Liverpool get £35-40m for Suarez and spend the money on a decent centre half and a replacement for an ageing Steevie Gee? If that happened they would not have done too bad. However thats to say that both these signings work out, and they would still have to rely on the 2 youngsters to score the goals for a whole season. As a side issue they are never going to replace Gerrard, hes a once in a generation player that they were lucky enough has a true affiliation for their club.

Im not so sure. There are not many teams that can do without their best player. Sturridge and Coutinho could definitely carry them through periods of the year, but the whole season?

Im not so sure he is going to be a bad appointment. He seemed to do well with the physical side that was his early Blackburn side and they have a lot of similarities with the current Stoke side.

No chance . He's valued at £10m . Lambert doesn't do expensive. He's a true Scot. Well hes the right age and has a grest attitude so ticks the boxes. I think we would pay 10-12 if the right player was available. Would have to ne special though which i think McCarthy is. Its an interesting point whether Lambert will come further up the leagues to find talent. Less of a gamble but will have to pay a premium.

I wouldnt think that under our current manager we will have to grin and bear these kinds of signings. In fact Ill be amazed if anyone guesses who he will sign.

No chance will he be leaving the money train to earn 50K at Liverpool! was out of contract at City so probably had no otehr offers He signed up awful quick, wouldn't you say? Who else was going to offer him more than 50k a week? Off the top of my head Im sure there ould be a lot of takers in the USA, UAE or Russia. He would have a lot of options being a free agent.
