To be fair it is a unique opportunity to get these lads involved with the first team during the season so I guess they'll take the risk.

I got added to a Secret Santa draw whilst working as a contractor, nobody told me this until the day before present giving, (they didn't tell me that bit either). The recipient of the £5 gift was not impressed that she had been the only one to "miss out" as I'd not brought anything in....This despite me having no idea and not being in that day anyway. Anyhow, she handed me a post it note the next time I was in with the names of the 2 lipsticks that she wanted and spent the rest of the morning repeatedly commenting on how disappointed she had been not to have received anything when everyone else did. I now make it very clear that I don't want to be involved.

You can "sell" the sell on clause to the club who owns the players registration.

You don't need to go dating etc until you are ready to do that, as much of a distraction, confidence boost, chance for fun etc etc it may be. It will get easier, it will work itself out, just stay relaxed and take each day as it comes. Don't forget that none of this is your fault, it isn't what you wanted so don't beat yourself up about set backs, thoughts etc. One day at a time.

I've seen him in u18s, on loan, in the u21s/u23s and the first team. That is what I base my opinion on, like it or lump it!

I'd agree on this, he did well on loan last season but I haven't seen anything that suggests he will go on to play regularly at a higher level. We shall see.

Lammy is definitely a midfielder played at Centre half to learn the game and toughen up, fabulous ability and a great chance to follow a similar path to Tim Iroegbunam. He really needs to pull his shorts up though, come and watch the rags down at Bodymoor and you'll see what I mean.

I overheard one of the coaching/support staff (I don't know who it was) talking to one of the Brentford coaches at the u21 game on Wednesday. When asked about Gerrard's game build up, he shook his head and said something like "it was all over the place".
