  1. Jimoh is quality, Katsukunya didn't put a foot wrong. First time I've seen this pair in action.
  2. Two penalties for Forest there, pick the foul. What a joke!
  3. He also wrestled several of their players who were trying to push him over the halfway line so they could kick off whilst the rest of our team were celebrating a goal in the corner of the pitch.
  4. He's quality, has great pedigree and a fantastic physique for a footballer. This has every chance of being a wonderful signing, particularly in January, I hope we don't loan him back until the Summer. Signing a young, in form (with stats to back it up), highly regarded player for £15million would be a great bit of business, not much to lose here even if it doesn't work out. Comparison with JPB and AJ are not relevant, neither are physical enough to play in the Premier League (or at least weren't when they left). I've watched them both (particularly AJ) run rings around the opposition at u21 level and below but the physical side is massive when you get to the big boys, doesn't mean you can't make it but makes it considerably harder. Archer, as game as he is (and I am so pleased at what he has achieved so far) is a headless chicken compared to Rogers who is a real proper player. Let's wait and see, I think we'll be delighted, I also think he'll play through the middle.
  5. What if as a collective all Villa fans shared the view that Gerrard was the brains behind the current form, that Emery is merely standing on the shoulders of that giant. The players let Stevie down and we'd have won the League by Christmas if it weren't for our short sighted owners sacking him just as the project came together.
  6. Luke Young, Neil Taylor, Stewart Downing, Paul Merson, Yannick Bolasie, Cameron Archer, Aaron Ramsey, Finn Azaz, Brad Guzan, Ritchie De Laet, Shay Given, Isaiah Osbourne, Benito Carbone, Andy Townsend, Neil Cox.
  7. I suspect most of the Premier League have their eyes on Rowe considering the season that he is having.
  8. Really good player, I have watched him and Dibling destroy our lads on a couple of occasions.
  9. People spelling his name wrong on Facebook is annoying me already.
  10. Great talent, physically impressive as well. As far as I am concerned a better player and more potential than JPB.
  11. Clearly a foul whether the flapping 'keeper is getting there or not. What the **** VAR are playing at is anyone's guess.
  12. I've told her we are getting there as soon as the doors open hoping that most people would go until later but sounds like that won't work.
  13. A cross forum question, taking my Missus to see Foo Fighters at Villa Park in June. Appreciate that there won't be any goals and there will be some kind of mat down but will I be able to (mentally) recreate goals in front of Holte End whilst wildly celebrating?
  14. It wasn't a tackle though, he was protecting the ball.
  15. Absolutely astounding decision. Freeze frame looks like a red but not the movement that actually happened. Embarrassing.
  16. VAR did exactly what it was designed to do, make marginal calls using ambiguous information to manipulate the result. It is increasingly obvious that this is why it was implemented, to what end I don't know. Anyhow, Howard Webb calls Emery this morning and it all gets brushed under the carpet like the numerous terrible reviewed decision every week.
  17. Typical Villa but royally **** in a game that was likely to be tight until a goal was scored. Appalling officiating, VAR did what it is made for to interpret the laws and manipulate the outcome.
  18. Matter of time this, going to be hard to hold on if we concede. Look knackered against a really good team.
  19. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-arsenal-parachuting-santa-12313181.amp "After his accident in 1998, he married Sarah, the nurse who was caring for him at the rehabilitation centre at Headley Court in Epsom, Surrey, and the couple had twins Harry and Oliver."
  20. Don't think it was a terrible miss, a lot harder than it looked trying to put energy on a ball spinning off the bar, should have scored, could have dealt with the ball differently and scored. Other than embarrassing him, it didn't matter today. I love this guy.
  21. He married one of the Nurses who treated him and they've had twins, so he might see it as an overall positive in the end. Nigel Rogoff is his name.
  22. As soon as I hear his voice I remember the sleep talking videos that they did, hilarious they thought, cringeworthy in reality. He is a very loud man, on occasion when he has commentated on the u21s and I have been there early, he struts around with his voice booming out to people a few metres away and no sound to drown him out.
